Fallout 76 looks so fucking garbage, is there anyone here actually hyped for that game? I thought FO4 was disappointing already, but 76 brings it to a wholenother level of shit

I'm and I'm not hyped at all but I'm getting it. I get a B.E.T.A. key online and it was slightly less terrible than everyone said. Very boring, though. But I think I can get enough out of it to justify the price (especially since that money would normally go on cigarettes and sips). It'll give me something to do. I'm terribly bored.

Not a huge fan of the franchise as I never played it but I loved 3 and liked New Vegas. Didn't finish the latter. 4 was a disappointment.

Nah, the Fallout Universe wasn't stuck in the 50s up until 2077. It was a cultural shift back to the 50s around the time of the war.

How do lorefags know all this? Did you read the wiki or something? Or is this explained in the games?

Check the Fallout Bible for lesser known lore stuff. And if you ask me, Fallout 4 took the '50s aesthetic way too far.

In a span of a few months the game is gonna die, unless Tod adds some more 30gb of content to the game 4 times each year.
The game is super boring, basic and shallow. The rpg fallout elements are simply dumb and terrible in multiplayer. And it lacks that freedom of your classic fallout game.
Games like Rust or even shitty Gmod gamemodes have more soul and quality than this piece of shit.

I don't think its ever explicitly stated in game, but lorefags tend to believe it because there are cultural references to things in the 80s and ruins of modern buildings. I'm not big into Fallout lore though so I could be getting this wrong, I prefer the fucked up esoteric lore of TES

I tried Skyrim but had sound issues so I never got further than the beginning. I'll rectify this soon but I feel like I've missed out on a lot and I can't enjoy games older than 2008 or so any more. I'm not underage but I just can't do it. Doom is the exception.

If you like world-building and cool lore, I heavily suggest playing Morrowind. It's 2002 and pretty clunky to play but the magic system and world building is top-tier (and REALLY fucking weird)

I sometimes re-enact certain movies and video games where I pretend I am the main character, mimic their actions and mouth their words.
The only reason for why I do this is sheer autism and its the only reason for why my webcam is covered.
