Why spend my prime years of life trapped in an office or something? There's so much out there. So many places to explore people to meet and the likes. Literally throwing away entire fractions of your life away working so you can get to 60 and then do what? Yeah man I completely get it you'd rather have meaningful stuff happen to you in the moment than work towards stuff that's only hypothetically meaningful in the future. It makes sense but you will never ever catch me thinking that way. Horrible, horrible, dreadful things would have to happen to me before I give up and stop working towards my grander life goals.
But also I have to add I think the whole "build a career and a family" thing is bullshit as well. It's fun in some ways, but I wouldn't exactly consider it a decent goal for myself. I'm more in the business of trying to put something together that a larger group of people might enjoy or find useful after I'm gone

Well, no, it's not just because of finals. There's a lot of problems coming together on me right now. Because of my past I have a lot of social issues, and had to work really hard to build my public confidence back up. So dealing with people and presenting shit in public is a big problem. Having to juggle so many various time limits. Having to manage my home and finances at the same time (I live alone). Also this is my one final shot at the education I truly love. If I fail now I can't get back in so that doesn't help either

It seems to me humans in the grand scheme are being treated or even treat themselves as machines or utilities because of a misguided shift into how we generally see ourselves.
