Female here. I've been a hikikomori for several years now and it's pretty tough. Sometimes my boyfriend will take me out for a date or something but other than that I don't leave the house so it's really lonely.
I have no school, Work, social life or friends. But I enjoy going out to the store a few times a week, starbucks sometimes daily(drive thru always, sometimes even get size upgrades cut I'm so genuinely cheery) and like going to the beach or mountains alone or with my big doggo. Am I hikki?
