I've been to metal festivals many times and it's filled with all kinds of people.

I couldnt imagine anyone going to a edm festival that wasnt a chad or stacy. I'm sure industrial festivals and goth clubs are full of weirdos though

Im a robot and have been to 50+ edm shows and 10+ edm festivals. Some with my friends and some by myself. I went through an intense phase of no real friends so I just went to edm shows to fulfill something I guess.

It is full of Chad's and stacies but I will day this, in my experience of being in many different concert crowds, the Chad's and stacies are significantly nicer than the norm. Ravers are just like that. Chad will return your wallet to you after you drop it and the only time I ever got smoked up at a concert or offered drugs at a festival by a girl were at raves.

Plus the girls are really nice and easy to get with and I've never had a girl reject me meanly like the bars :(

I went to a midnight cherry blossom viewing festival in a park in the hip young area of Tokyo. A westerner poured beer on me and I met an indie band claiming to be Japanese My Chemical Romance.

I went to my first EDM festival last weekend. I went alone and it was the most memorable weekend I've had in years. If anyone is interested I will write out a long ass post detailing all the stuff I experienced.

I'm not super social (I'm quickly singled out as "that quiet guy" in most social gatherings) and I'm not good looking and I had a shit ton of fun going to an EDM festival. I went alone too since I didnt know anyone to go with. But the reason I went is because I genuinely love the music and was excited to see the DJs perform and I wanted to get intoxicated and dance, sing, cheer and have fun. No regrets, it was awesome.
