Let's see. Social validation, so I'm instantly not a "creepy loser" anymore, and I can make friends. If not, she can be my friend. We can band together against the world, even financially the costs of everything will be halved if we move in together, so even if she's as poor as I am, living in one place instead of two will upgrade our finances. Emotional support and even having someone to talk about my issues will fix my depression and trying to be strong for her and having someone to care for will give me a reason to push myself and fix her issues too, instead of just sitting and waiting to die. I could go on but if you really don't understand how this improves your life in literally every single aspect, why bother.
