I suggest Orthodox Christianity.
Not empty Eastern spirituality. You need a religion with 'faces' to communicate with. Jesus has 'showed' himself and helped me with signs many times this year.

No St. Alexander of Svir
No St. Seraphim's Tenderness of the Theotokos Icon
No Royal Matyrs Icon.

Why even try.

Nice prayer corner user. Just some tips. Put Christ in the center, the Most Holy Theotokos to the right and Saint John the Forerunner to the left.
Well, do you use incense you buy in the Church? I tend to buy it in a Ukrainian Church but, following the crisis, they took up Constantinople's side. Being a Moscow's layperson I am avoiding going there and burning incense that my ROCOR-linked ukrainian friend sent me desu~~

>replacing depression with stock insanity
worst choice I ever made
be warned those who choose to listen to OP

This

And saints would generally be placed below Christ and the Theotokos.

I would recommend buying from Hermitage of the Holy Cross. I lived their for 5 months and they make top tier incense.

You're exactly right, my Christian brother.

Is it a sin to not have the icons in a specific order?

Disregard the blue booklet, I will have to burn it since I got tricked by a heresy called 'GOX' in Greece and thought it was canon Orthodox text.

I need icons that speak to my life somehow to connect.

>Is it a sin to not have the icons in a specific order?
In the Orthodox Church we do not take "sins" in a legalist way but rather as a disease. Things are a sin if they make you go astray and cut your connection with God. Remember Christ's first miracle. He putted new wine in old jars. He made everything new. That's about us, as well. We are sick and need new wine, we need new life, we need to become renewd in Christ and not only follow some written prescriptions.
I will probably buy when I visit Greece. I will have to go there to get baptized (in a Greek Church parish like Athens). Anyway arigatou user-sama

St Alexander of Svir was so holy that the Trinity actually touched him and his body is perfectly incorrupt. Commie fags told everybody the monks caretaking his shrine we're fooling them and that the body was a doll. When they took the body they were suprised to find it actually was perfectly incorrupt. They store it in a closet. It's lost for 80 years until some monks were looking for it praying and have a vision of it's exact location. My Abbot got to see it and touch it. Said it was the holiest experience of his life and that the body reeked of myrrh. I myself got to see the myhrr streaming Iveron Icon up close out of it's shrine. They blessed my neck cross directly on the icon over Nicolas II's mother's earrings whose jewels are in the icon.

As for the Tenderness icon... Have you seen it?

And meanwhile here we are, on Jow Forums on a Sunday night, discussing about Orthodoxy. I wish I had the courage to take monastic vows. Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Personally my favorite Icon is the one over the shrine of the footprint of our most holy lady in Russia. Supposed to cure mental illness.

But pic is Tenderness icon.

Guys, add me on Discord. Let's create an Orthodox wholesome group.
My account: +++ Death to the World +++#1928
May the Lord have mercy on us and save us. Amen.

It's quite a commitment. One I couldn't take when I was given the opportunity. I got really paranoid and the Abbot was trying to help bless him but in the end I left. Got to get the blessing of Vladika Hilarion before I went though. That was nice.

It's a commitment but, being an Orthodox Christian, you know by now that we have only two alternatives. We either become monks or we marry. Either of them are hard commitments. I do not want to be a burden to any girl. I consider myself so shit-like that I would make any woman's life bad. So my only alternative would be to become a monk.

That whole two path thing is a modern tradition. The apostles and Fathers were mostly celibate but lived active parish lives.

According to my friends that visit Athonite monks regularly it is advised nowadays to either marry or become a monk. Living celibate in the World is almost impossible.

Unfortunately that's the exact reason parishes are so liberal oftentimes compared to monasteries. All the most committed men become monks.

my god is a wild god, his likeness found on the walls of caves. He is older than man and has been with those of us who seek him.

Well thats not exactly true. Here in my parish we do have a lot of commited married men. They are probably the people I admire the most. They all have 3 to 4 kids so they have to work a lot and they still manage to go to Church. AXIOS!

disgusting
I'd rather die than accept a false god

Orthodox user here, just want to say that Orthodoxy is the one true faith. O Stavros Nika

This is why Islam will prevail

Islam has only ever prevailed in areas with below average IQ user.

God created 5 senses. We are meant to worship with 5 senses.

Butthurt much? I swear the pagan LARPers are the new fedorafags. Can't have a nice comfy thread about Orthodoxy without you people needing to spread your edgy cringe

THEN YOU WILL DIE LIKE THE BUG YOU ARE

Whats cringe about offerings and the use of animal remains in a ritual sense.

Attached: tumblr_oem016vCFM1u4i9zdo1_1280.jpg (720x960, 98K)

No real theology behind the ritual

No beautiful art

No beautiful chant

No Godly saints who work miracles.

What's the point again?

happy to see another user of taste.
Are those buttercups?

There is tons of theology behind the rituals I do.
There are hymns, chants, and songs.
I don't grovel at the feet of saints, I work with and get what I need from the spirits that I honor.
