Why the fuck is it so hard for men to read social cues? Why is it so fucking hard?

Why the fuck is it so hard for men to read social cues? Why is it so fucking hard?

I'm getting so fucking sick of having to explain the importance of nonverbal cues, and how most communications are done non-verbally -- but men are too fucking thick to understand it, and likely outright refuse to.

Now Neil Tyson, one of the few men I looked up to, and thought was among the only good men left in society, has had four women accuse him of rape. Four women. And his excuses were the same "I misinterpreted her signals" bullshit that you always hear from these shitty men. One of the smartest people on the planet claiming he misread obvious cues -- and interpreted them as something else. What a load of shit.

It is not that hard to read cues, you lazy pieces of shit. Just pay the fuck attention, and you'll get it. The only reason it'd be hard is because you don't care enough about anyone but yourself to notice. And now that one of the best educators has been outed as a rapist claiming otherwise is just the biggest, most transparent crock of shit you troglodytes have come up with yet.

such shitty bait but i guarantee thread will still get some replies

I don't get it, how is it that not even one of these men has simply laughed at the ridiculousness of some of these charges against them? Especially someone like Tyson. As if a man who's mind floats around in the heavens would give a damn about something as terrestrial as sex.

>Why the fuck is it so hard for men to read social cues? Why is it so fucking hard?
this is bait but why is it so hard for women to tell men to fuck off? why do women think they're doing you a favor by being dishonest and leaving some trace of optimism for you to hang onto?

>It is not that hard to read cues, you lazy pieces of shit. Just pay the fuck attention, and you'll get it. The only reason it'd be hard is because you don't care enough about anyone but yourself to notice.
wrong faggot. it's not easy for chads because chad gets the same signals every time.

>how is it that not even one of these men has simply laughed at the ridiculousness of some of these charges against them?
at least one did and that's partially why he's in the white house user

Personally I don't think he's a bad guy, he's entertaining. However the very crowd that's burning him now, was the one he was catering to with his political messages, which every celeb does to flex their social justiceness to inflate their egos, which doesn't help the reality of our decaying society(if you live in a first world country). How satisfactory that might be I do feel bad for him.

on the off chance that you're some shitheel phoneposter who is unironically looking for a serious answer it's because men are used to interacting with other men and if we don't say something to each other explicitly and verbally we assume that there is no big deal and it's expected that if you have a problem the onus is on you to complain about it.

Women on the other hand are used to only dealing with other women and y'all are constantly micropolicing each other's subliminal responses to every little god damned thing and gossiping about the slightest off word or uncomfortable glance. Men don't train each other to do this because we aren't vindictive gossipy bitches. We expect people to say what they actually mean in an honest straightforward and take responsibility for themselves and dealing with their own problems.

It's hard to explain because you people live in a fucked up gossipy hell of your own creation and maintenance. Most men don't have to deal with that level of death note-tier mind games over literally nothing all of the time, and who would honestly want to given the choice?

shit off by one

>why is it so hard for women to tell men to fuck off?
Usually, the more honest you are with men, the more they flip the fuck out.
t. freaked out at girls for rejection, even though they were being completely honest with me.

But yeah, the whole dancing around the issue, not being direct with their wants and needs, and leaving you with optimism to hold onto, is still worse.

ok maybe for in person rejections but once time i asked a girl out over the phone and she said yes then like an hour later she texted me saying she wasn't interested. what could i possibly have done to her over the phone? if i flipped out she could have just hung up

in these sexual harassment/assault cases it looks to me as if the women aren't making the "cues" obvious enough, probably because they didn't care very much until later when they thought they could get public attention through this. a woman might not be able to fight an actual attack, but she can do more than say "ew gross" with her face and body stance, she can scream GET AWAY FROM ME YOU CHUBBY OLD SCIENCE NIGGER I DON'T WANT SEX.. or even just say "i'm not attracted to you in any way, so please stop making advances or touching me" i think the second example would have worked on tyson, he seems like a reasonable guy.
>but if i say that it might make him angry and cause forcible rape
if you're not willing to take a stand to defend your vagina, your vagina deserves to be raped to a pulp.

They just learn to act like that all the time and mostly just love any excuse they can get to avoid responsibility for everything. It's why "body positivity" is so big with women. That doesn't have anything to do with them being afraid of someone's reaction--which would be a legitimate reason for being weaselly. Women want everyone else to make all their choices for them and they don't ever want to assert themselves. They're princesses, truly precious creatures.

Also, the whole implicit communications thing is a pretty distinctly American thing. In other cultures, like here in Europe, it's paramount to be direct and explicit when talking to people; even our women get this. It's actually considered offencive, and a personal insult, if you aren't upfront with your words.

kek i tried to explain there are no girls on the internet in a paper before having read this thanks user

wow there is hope!
maybe that has something to do with why your women aren't all neurotic nutbags!

i've never heard this before. do you think it's because america has puritan past?

Why do girls feel up guys so much? Why isn't every single girl that drinks alcohol in jail?

>puritans who came from Europe

it's cause women have high emotional intelligence while we men have high actual intelligence

they were kicked out of england user because nobody could stand them

>they were kicked out of england user because nobody could stand them, because they were too vocal and direct about their beliefs

ok if you have another theory about why euros are more direct about sex than burgers then i would love to hear it

Not sure if I like being talked down to like this. The foul language is also quite uncouth.

Europe basically dumped all of their puritans and "dissenters" on us and it accounts for a massive amount of the cultural differences between US and Euro countries. This is not a point any historian would argue against.

>euros have bigger dicks on average
>direct about sex
>derect about sex
>d-erect about sex
>bigger dicks on average more d-erect

The reason you don't think it's hard is that you don't have to do it. If a guy likes a girl the societal expectation is on him to approach her. So women obviously don't need to rely on nonverbal cues to know if a guy likes them because the guy is coming up to her and outright saying it. Meanwhile the women are expected to get by being coy and just putting out ambiguous signals, and are never expected to put themselves on the line by being blunt.

Are women really better than men at picking up social cues? Here's a social cue for you - if a guy invites you up to his apartment or hotel room at 2 am after the bar you were in closed, he wants sex. Do not accompany him if you do not also want sex. How many stories have we heard of women crying about being 'assaulted' after going home with a man after a night of drunken revelry? Should women take any responsibility for ignoring that blatantly obvious social cue?

Not entirely true. We do implicit communications with American tourists, otherwise it can be impossible to get anywhere with them.

>i've never heard this before.
Most Americans haven't.

It's probably because European cultures are much older than American, which is still relatively new, and have had enough time to learn why being implicit in communication doesn't work. It's also likely because Europe has an arse load of different cultures that are driving distances from each other, so you need a general and direct means of communicating with them as not to cause any friction.
