January 1, 2019
One more year of nothing happened.
I wish I could be 15 again, at least, I would've false hope.
If I don't get this homework done in the next three days I'm fucked. If there are so many newfags why aren't there anymore /uni/ threads?
>gonna be a 28 year old KHV
send me your energy guys this is the final stretch
another forgettable year is going to come.
>nothing changes
We've reached the peak innovation. Laptop manufacturers are still making 1366x768 resolution displays. Every site now has stupid cookie warnings, social media is still a terrible thing.
Yeah this was a good time. Bullied a lot but had plenty of memorable times. It was the beginning of the end when I left mandatory education. Now I'm 29 and socially fucked up neet who never goes out. I still wear the clothes I had at 19.
>Y2K hype was 19 years ago
>Tfw old enough to remember the Seinfeld episode about the year 2000 airing on TV
I never want to be 15 ever again
>Bullied constantly
>No freedom
>Had to worry about getting a car and license so I could escape my shit town
>Fell for the college meme so spent all my time stressing over my GPA
And by the time I was old enough to drive, the economy tanked and I couldn't afford any gas due to it being 5 dollars a gallon. I also had a job at my library where everyone would low key make fun of me.
>11 years later
>"The twenties were weird"
>"You mean 1920 or 2020?"
>And to think the best anime ever will be made in 2055
Only 36 more years boys.
At least when I was in my teens there was a sense that if I just tried for a bit I could easily salvage it next year. All it would take is a bit of money and effort and I could feasibly climb the social ladder, get a hot gf, build a great career etc. Now I'm in my mid 20s everything is fading away and it's beginning to hit home how royally I fucked it all up.
'he didn't know it yet, but the infinity of youth was to be brief'
>1 January, 2020
>1 January, 2000
>tfw this is not original
>5 dollars a gallon
That's not too much, here in central Europe it's equivalent to nearly $7
Is it just me or have we not made technological advancements in this decade practically whatsoever?
Since 2010, desu actually no not really anything truly significant that weren't just ideas from the 00's put into practice. The only real one I can think of is rocket booster reusability
I fucking wish, time doesn't go fast enough
>3D
>3D Printing
>3D Printing organs
>Self-driving car
>VR
>multi-use rockets
>robots agility
>gene modifying
>bionic eye
maybe 3D (as in films) is before 2010 idk and probably there are new stuff other than these
oh yes and we almost had a head replacement surgery take place in 2017 but the patient chickened out
>lol faggot
Elites have fancy tech you wouldn't believe. More profit in releasing new stuff every year with the slightest improvement that breaks next year
I agree on laptops, the internet and social media, but I still have some hope on holograms, AI and extended reality.
>3D
Literally 50s tech, dude.
>3D Printing
That tech was developed in the mid 90s but the fucktard patent jews forbid everyone to use it until it expired in the early 2010.
>VR
It's literally a phone display strapped to your head. There were VR headsets in the 80s.
>Self-driving car
Still massively in beta, and even then nothing particularly new, we had all the tech needed in the 2000s.
>multi-use rockets
>robots agility
It's not like we didn't have the tech behind these in the 2000s or even earlier. It's just fine tuned control control systems.
Now gene modifying with CRISPR actually is a valid point.
I would also add machine learning on a massive scale, e.g. all those face swap apps and the likes. Although the theory behind it goes back to the 40s, so not particularly new.
>faster internet
>smartglasses becoming closer to mainstream
>same with AI
>and drones
>tablets
>smartphones are slightly more powerful
why do you keep making this garbage thread?
