There is no free speech anymore folks.
Be me
Negro still works. So does negroid
*snap*
that one's going in the cringe compilation
we need alternatives to jewtube
100% agree. The old youtube had none of this sjw crap. It went downhill after google bought it.
YouTube is a private platform, not a public service provided by the government user. Their house, their rules. Just like the bakery shouldn't have been forced to bake a cake they didn't want to (unless gay people are a protected class, idk).
t. Libertarian
>t. corporate shill
t. filthy commie
>Free Speech
>Private, Ad Supported Platform
I don't think you understand the term "free speech"
>t. capitalist cuck
Imagine thinking corporations should be freer from criticism than governments
Nignog still works
Hey man, I'm actually a libertarian socialist, but in this case, I think youtube has the right to deem what is and isn't acceptable to be shown on their site due to . But I understand both very real dangers of getting cucked by the government and getting cucked by corporations. I think that the goal for the average person should be to remain uncucked.
Then we're in agreement. I guess it's just depressing to see the internet change the way it has been over the last few years. And it largely seems to be the result of corporate influence from the tech giants who rely on ad revenue. It's nice that creators are getting some real paychecks (even though there are some serious issues there), but that was never what made the internet great for me. It's just turning into fucking television or some other prepackaged bullshitfest.
I guess I just don't want to see that happen here...
literally just picrelated
why do you retards cry about freeze peach when you're being told to shut up by a private company that wants to keep its fucking customers. the first amendment literally does not apply
>redditfrog
>b-but muh free speech on le internets!!!
Cringe.
Yeah, I think things started to go downhill in 2008, when smartphones and other mobile devices became popular, allowing many more people to access the internet regularly, forcing companies to pander to their plebeian, lowbrow, shit norman/NPC tastes. That in turn started the rise of ads on webpages, leading to what you describe. But at least some places and sites are relatively untouched still.
>I guess I just don't want to see that happen here...
Not to worry, hiroshimoot has our backs...or does he? He did split the SFW boards from the red boards to increase ad revenue, but that's just to pay for server costs...right? At least he's keeping the red boards here for now. In hiroshimoot we trust.
>2018
>being a libercuck
Even plebbitors on r/Libertarian are fascist now. Get with the times. The only way to save America and the american world order and prevent globalism is to support a temporary authoritarian regime.
>in hiroshimoot we trust
I suppose we don't have much choice.
We'll be fine as long as we have each other, r-right guise?
I think eventually he will have to start isolating Jow Forums. The moment a legit shooter posts there before the act is when we should start worrying about our future here.
YOU dont. Free speech is an idea not a law.
Never. I will never give up muh American freedumbs. I'll shoot any hostile invaders and outsiders who enter my community's property myself if I have to. But I will never let myself get cucked by your (((authoritarian regime))).
that's already happened in the past though
So if it's an idea and not a law (or a idea for which certain rights inspired therein are protected or enshrined in law), why da fuck would anyone expect a private company with the imperative of increasing shareholder value by it's main revenue stream of selling advertising space to restrict it's own earning power by allowing the fullest possible gamut of individual expression on their platform? Knowing full well that doing so may make ad buyers, account manages and the executives at client companies that okay their budgets reluctant to spend more money on advertising on their platform?
>Free speech is an idea not a law.
Yes, but that doesn't make it okay for me to vandalize your house. Find another platform where free speech is allowed if you don't like youtube. Only the government is obligated to allow anyone to say anything (with the exception of "shouting fire in a crowded theater," etc.).
>be me
>Go on 4channel
>called some dumb user a redneck white trash honky
>they get butthurt and get defensive while being racist
How come freeze peach-fags don't practice what they preach?
>I suppose we don't have much choice.
You're right there user.
>We'll be fine as long as we have each other, r-right guise?
You betcha, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this site or a large part of it were subjugated and censored, then our brethren beyond the seas, armed and guarded by hotwheels and wizardchan, would carry on the struggle, until, in m00t's good time, the new world, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.
I'd pay him to get rid of that board, as it would stop bringing the election normalfags and shitty stormfags to this site.
Because free speech on an online platform with millions of people is fun. If anything free speech may even increase ad revenue because if companies "censor" everyone they'll lose users. Less users equals less ad revenue. Facebook and twitter are losing users and value in the stock market. Censoring people doesn't seem to be helping.
I already have, but I still like youtube
Also
>gab makes own free speech site
>gets kicked off hosting platform and playstore and gets defamed by corporate news media
>bitchutr makes own site
>gets kicked of paypal and defamed as well
>"lol just make your own site guise."
You are a filthy commie? At least you're honest about it.
>>gets kicked off hosting platform and playstore and gets defamed by corporate news media
Yeah well hosting the synagogue shooter when even twitter wouldn't will do that to you.
>a bakery can refuse service based on discrimination
isn't that illegal?
>Twatter censors people
>gab makes free speech social media site (yay)
>synagogue shooter kicked off of tw*tter
>can no longer discuss ideas with people that disagree with him
>feeds into his "its da jooz" conspiracy
>goes to a echo chamber section of gab
>goes ballisitc
>"screw your optics!"
>shoots several of god's chosen people
>censering is gud
>If anything free speech may even increase ad revenue because if companies "censor" everyone they'll lose users.
Turns out normalfags don't care all that much about being able to say "nigger" or "kike" online...what a fucking surprise, huh?
>"lol just make your own site guise."
In that case, it was in the the hosting platform and paypal's collective interest to improve their reputation in the eyes of normans by removing gab. The media companies can say whatever they want about it, as they are also composed of private corporations. Remember, the bottom line in these types of cases is usually what matters the most. Money is the root of a good portion of all evil. If you want your own site with completely unrestricted speech, like stormfront or something, then you're going to have to set up a server and host it yourself, and also come up with a way to take donations and payments without using a third party service, precisely due to the reasons above and .
I was indicating that the poster I responded to was a filthy commie.
Yeah, I wasn't really that clear on that. Companies can "reserve the right to refuse service" to anyone, but if that person is a part of a protected class and can prove that the company's decision not to serve them was due to discrimination, then they might be able to serve the company with a lawsuit, giving the company a bit of trouble on their hands. Idk exactly how this works, as I'm not a lawyer, so someone please correct me if need be. But I think that's a decent summation of the situation.
You need to treat the internet like the real world. If you go into a restaurant and call black diners nigger, you get kicked out of the establishment. We use the internet to socialize, keep updated on the news, and shop. It's going to reflect reality.
We must carry the flame.
That's just how it is user. I'm against censorship as well, but companies have the right to make decisions that they think will be profitable (within the confines of the law ofc), and in this case normalfags and SJWs have forced their hand, making them remove accounts spewing fringe beliefs. It's either losing one or the other group, and the latter makes up a much larger portion of the userbase on those types of sites. The inner machinations of the norman's mind are truly an enigma.
Some sites, like this one, allow for greater expression of free speech. It's just that when the userbase gets so large, it's harder to maintain that, as some stupid self-important shit is bound to get offended by perceived slights.
It's what m00tykins would have wanted us to do.
>shopwoner tells me not to yell in their store
>yell anyway
>security comes and pushes me out of the store
NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH!
>Turns out normalfags don't care all that much about being able to say "nigger" or "kike" online...what a fucking surprise, huh?
Its not just about nigger and kike bro. Saying anything that is "anit-establishment" or even political can get you banned or censored. Facebook has deleted many liberal and progressive pages as well as people who arent right wing.
>If you want your own site with completely unrestricted speech, like stormfront or something, then you're going to have to set up a server and host it yourself.....
Am aware of that. This starting to be done. And is a gay kike nigger
Alot of these companies receive government subsidies. A court has already ruled that Trump can not block people because it violates their rights. So can Tw*tter not ban people because it restricts them accessing Trumps Twitter? Its also a used by law enforcement and used to alert the public on happenings. Im not suggesting these sites should be declared public utilities just asking questions.
>It's either losing one or the other group, and the latter makes up a much larger portion
Doubt. The people that riled up over Kevin Hart making gay jokes 10 years are a minority that scream the loudest. Most normals dont care. I also doubt they would leave because normans like to be around other normans and social media it normalfag central.
>You need to treat the internet like the real world.
Lol no
>We use the internet to socialize, keep updated on the news
Rly?
Violent speech has never been protected speech. Try not promoting violence against minority groups and maybe companies won't censor you.
I don't really get how an actual competitor hasn't popped up yet. Faggot startup cucks don't have enough ambition. Daily motion and all that shit doesn't count
>wahh mommy I cant say the N-word
grow up faggot
>Saying anything that is "anit-establishment" or even political can get you banned or censored.
Is this really true, or is it an example of or or (checked)? It's hard to tell sometimes.
>Alot of these companies receive government subsidies.
Just because the gubbermint gives a company a subsidy doesn't mean they are suddenly beholden to the same rules as them. They still get to operate as a corporation, they just get the subsidy because they employ many people or provide some other perceived good service to society at large.
>A court has already ruled that Trump can not block people because it violates their rights. So can Tw*tter not ban people because it restricts them accessing Trumps Twitter?
Good point, people should have the right to contact their elected representatives, but do they always have the right to do it on twitter? They can't go protest on the doorstep of the white house, so there are obviously some limitations, but where do they end? This seems to be one of the grey areas that slipped through the cracks in modern laws concerning this area.
>Its also a used by law enforcement and used to alert the public on happenings.
Yeah, same problem as above, people should be entitled to receive emergency warnings, but they can still view twitter, so there is some leeway here.
>The people that riled up over Kevin Hart making gay jokes 10 years are a minority that scream the loudest. Most normals dont care. I also doubt they would leave because normans like to be around other normans and social media it normalfag central.
Agreed about the people making a big deal about past celebrity tweets, but I was talking more about people who recoil at the use of what are considered highly offensive words by society, and tweets about forming a white ethnostate and such. Normals like following the herd, but they also love saving face and virtue signalling, so these kinds of things don't really fly on twitter today.
It's not the startups that are the problem, it's just hard to get people to switch to an unfamiliar site from something they are used to and have known for more than a decade. Most people also don't care enough to even consider making the switch in the first place, as they don't really see many benefits in being able to discuss fringe political ideas. It's not like myspace vs facebook, where one was considered by many people to be a better product that all their friends were using at the time. So alternative sites will always have a smaller userbase than the mainstream ones (the hint is in the names).
>It's what m00tykins would have wanted us to do.
Who?
>Who?
I tried to tell myself otherwise, but despite my self-imposed delusions, I knew in my heart of hearts that this day would come.
>The day someone on this site didn't know who m00t was
If this isn't bait, then lurk moar, newfren. Or go to encyclopedia dramatica and start reading user.
You might regret it, but you have 15 years of Jow Forums history to catch up on.
All sites only exist for ad revenue now. Speech that the major corporations don't like is no longer allowed. But don't worry, you're still allowed to think the way advertisers want you to
lol just say what you mean grandpa
go to reddit if you want to spew nonsense
Beggars shouldn't be choosy user. Dogs do eat dog food, after all.
fuck off faggot. No one cares.

>An obvious newfren telling me to go to leddit
m00t (the little girl) founded this site in 2003 and presided over us as our lord and savior for 11 blissful years before he betrayed us, stabbed us in the back, and left us in darkness with hiroshimoot for a job at jewgle. hiroshimoot's okay too I guess, he doesn't come here that often nowadays, but he does his best to keep the site live, up and running, but to do that unfortunately he's had to introduce porn ads and split the site into two to make it more appealing to companies who would want to advertise here (virtually none, atm).
Idk, I care user, so there's that.
This is why Jow Forums exists so shut up nigger.
