What do these series have in common, and are there any more like them?

Yeah, they're all anime. There are many of them

They're all second-rate edgelord crap. Shonen or bust.

You have to be a special type of tard to enjoy shonen for any other reason than nostalgia

I really liked Zankyou no Terror i don't know why most people shit on it. The shitty engrish and the fact that it's only 13 episodes are the only drawbacks imo

i guess all the main character are suffering in some way, which might be a broad statement since the only shows ive seen from that list are Darker than Black (which is my favourite anime) and Zankyou no terror. but if you liked those 91 days was pretty decent for me so you might like it

>Enjoyed all these animes and genuinely love shonen because of adventure and hope

Extrapolating from that I'd say Canaan (definitely), Jormungand, Ajin, I'll think for a while and post more

It's OK, user. I enjoyed shounens too. Rewatched Yu Yu Hakusho for the nostalgia recently and it's still good fun.

Shojo > Shonen

Main reason I hate it is because the guy from your pic related is the most unnecessarily gay main character ever. Ruined the whole show for me cause it was so horribly out of place with the rest of the story.

Appleseed, Dominion, Armitage III, Devil May Cry, Gungrave, Dirty Pair, Ghost in the Shell SAC, Golgo 13, Gunsmith Cats, Gunslinger Girl, Hellsing, Hidan no Aria (although it's pretty shit imo), Joker Game, Onihei, Jyu oh sei, ninja scroll, Kara no Kyokai, Last Exile, Madbull 34, Mardock Scramble, Michiko to Hatchin, No 6 (wavering), King of Bandits Jing, Read or Die, Psychopass, Yukikaze, Votoms, Speedgrapher, Cobra, Tekkon Kinkreet, Zombieloan - C money and possibility control (sort of shit tho)

Some of these aren't gun-intensive shows, but I sort of know what feel you're after. Some of them are very closely related while others are gonna be somewhat out in the periphery. All of this should keep you busy a long time though.

Seeing it's a Watanabe show the expectations were sky high when it came out so that probably didn't help.

12 was gay? sorry if im being a brainlet but could you point out what made him gay?

>91 days

Fair call, this is probably as close as anime gets to the Godfather movies.

Never grow up user, zettai.

He acts exactly like the hollywood stereotype of a gay person in everything he does. It's just too unrealistic.

They're all pretty chill and don't have any (or very few) overreacting to shit. As well as some deeper plot/message. It's the shit I usually watch.
If you liked those you should try:
>Another
>Evangelion
>Steins;gate (bit more fanservice than the rest)
>Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai (ongoing, last episode next week)
>Monster (lengthy and less hype)
>Death parade
>most of the Makoto Shinkai's works, start with the most popular ones

not all shonen is bad
stuff like Death Note and Claymore ran in Shonen Jump and are very enjoyable regardless of age
