Do you even have a job, user?
Do you even have a job, user?
ya. tfw purchasing power
Yes I do, but I do a job that's supposed to be for teenagers, I'm 25. I get 30 hrs or so I can still help my family with the rent.
I push carts
Why don't you have a higher quality job?
Because I don't value myself and the idea of just getting by seems okay to me
plus I have bad social skills, time wont slow down so I will regret it if I don't at least try to get a "higher quaility job" like you say
Yes I have a job. I am a cashier. I fucking hate it.
For what retail user? Please don't tell me for Walmart, its always understaffed and the big lines... all for 11 dollars an hr
I'm trying to get a job but nothing is suitable for an autism like me
Many people with autism work. Why don't you?
Nope, never again. I would literally rather die than go back to surrendering my freedom 9-5.
no xD
im still finishing masters
tried getting any in the summer. no fucking luck
yeah i quit my full time position because i hated 9-5 work
i do a bit of freelancing. today my allergies were annoying earlier so i took a benadryl, now my nose isn't running but i'm really tired and lazy, don't feel like doing any work at all. nothing has a due date, i can just work on it tomorrow
so fucking glad i quit wageslaving
No. I can work on air conditioners thanks to school, but nobody wants to hire me due to no experience!!
I'm a branch manager. Currently on PTO until January 14th though (essentially paid vacation)
I'm a stay at home son. It's a full time job being mommy's good boy.
Because no one will hire me, of course.
>Do you even have a job, user?
No.
Can you not join an HVAC union as an apprentice? You will probably start at a higher percentage with the prior schooling
Yes.
I want to kill myself every day.
U-u-unem-ploy-ploy-ment is at-t-t an all-l t-time low. O-of course, I h-have a j-job.l!
NOPE! Fulltime Neet collecting Autismbux, feels good man
I worked at Debenhams for a year, I was in the back cause I figured the cold was a decent pay off for not having to deal with middle aged mothers
I try but every job I apply to never fucking responds. The applications are always good looking and neat
i work at a gym and get overpaid to clean and sign in people.
Security. Minimum wage 60+ hrs weekly
I'm deathly afraid of having one. Tips?
Yes my job is banging ur mum
I am a software developer in the financial services industry.
I hate it. Finance is fucking boring and you meet the worst kinds of people. The work itself sucks shit too, I basically do 2007-tier full stack web development all day which is my least favorite thing to do ever.
Starting a new one in January.
My last job I handled over $400M in yearly spend and spent 50-60 hours a week arguing with people via email and calls. Still can't believe they gave me a job with that amount of responsibility straight outta college though.
I quit my job when my female boss accused me of everything.
I yelled at her and threatened not to bully me.
what's your saIary
where do you push carts? I was going to apply to walmart but then I realized they make you be a janny too. I just want to plush carts for a living
Yea i'm a provider for my father who's going to die in a few years. I don't like him and I don't really care much about the job
i fund my NEET lifestyle by selling feet pics
It was about $22K a year. I live in a poor east euro country
If I lived in the west it probably would've been around $80K a year, maybe a little more (based on what I know about my company's salaries there)
Yes, but I wish I didn't. All I ever wanted was to be a NEET and stop losing eight daily hours at that crap.
most minimum wage jobs make about that much a year here in the u.s.
Yes, I'm a video game programmer.
i work graveyard shift doing maintenance at a food plant
most days i inspect shit for an hour, ask people if they see anything odd with the machines, then go to an unused office and read books
some days i have to haul ass and put in overtime because shit hits the fan, but that's at most once a month
overall it's pretty comfy and i get free food all the time
40 hour work week at grocery store which I just stock and talk to Mexicans all shift. Too bad most of my money is spent on pot, cigs and beer to get through my nights.
I know. The experience I got was good though, so one day I will make hella cash.
Right now I am focusing on connections + XP
I wish I answered when target called me. I was tired because it was 10pm. But this was the same target last year where I got interviewed to push carts which I got rejected. This would have been for seasonal stocking, maybe I would have had a better chance somehow.
Target is the only place who gives me a chance at least.
>janitor at large LA office building
>hook up with another guy there once or twice a week
>have only seen 2 or 3 office workers there after 9pm
it's not the easiest work, but it's a lot better than when i worked housekeeping at a hotel
Nope
Been a neet for 12+ years
I only do voluntary work and attend horticulture college once a week
I'm hoping to start working again sometime next year
>focusing on connections
>in eastern fucking europe
yes, I teach kids about computer architecture, and assembly coding specifically ARM
>tfw I'm a TA
if you just make the games from the engine you're a designer not a programmer
if you make the engine then im impressed
What the hell do you live off of? Where do you get income?
I'm an infantryman. Not a mutt either so I'm not gonna be dying for Israel you dumb fucks.
$81k/yr software engineer
22 years old
That's what I did (same course), now I'm
is the work hard? stressful? do you have to be highly intelligent to do you job at a satisfactory level?
used to OP. quit to focus on academia
If you have the base level of intelligence to make it through the schooling on your own (not reliant on TAs every second or Google), then you're pretty much good to go
Just constantly have a desire to dig deeper into how and why things work and when you hit metal start slowly building back up
You should try applying again sometime, I hired to be a seasonal ship from store boy and it's been pretty comfy so far, besides Sunday and Monday when I have to go in at 3AM to stock shelves (which still isn't bad it's just the waking up early part sucks ass.)
Well, I'm a cost accountant.
I'm also an employer.
what languages do you know?
where do you live, east coast where cost of living is high?
what do you suggest for someone with a degree in business/econ but 5 years work experience in web development (php and js only)
no i wish i did
Yes, programmer/IT assistant in a small company.
Hellish job, but its okay while I finish collage and gain more experience (drop out at my second year, went full neet for 3 and a half years, now trying to get my life back on track).
>finish collage
>get my life back on track
Start by learning how to spell better than a kindergartner.
Thats what I'm hoping to do after finishing my degree. but working remotely
None interest me. And I'm not in a situation where I have to get a job to survive, for now.
C and C++ mainly
I know OCaml, Java, F#
Suburban East Coast
Do non-trivial personal projects and do 100+ jobs applications per week
What a waste of digits. At least it was programming related.
Why bother, OP?
GETs are a thing of the past, brother
Nah because I live in a shitty area and the job market here is fucking atrocious.
>Do non-trivial personal projects
Such as?
What's your expertise and where do you live?
There's no reason to have a job in 2018.
I don't really have an expertise, I'm only 18. I used to be into programming, but am not really too interested in it anymore. I live in New Hampshire, in a very small rural town.
Yup, but it's a menial job where I cut peoples power for non payment. It's a lot of fun but I'm too good at it and I'm getting complacent.
No, and I will kill myself before acquiring one.
Being a neet I have less possessions to worry about, I leech of the society I hate, and have 95% of my time to myself.
No, OP. I'm 18 and failed out of college because it was boring and depressing. I've been applying but haven't got any responses. I have $28 to my name so I'm hoping I can bike and/or uber to whatever shit job I get since my parents need the cars. Life is hard
Been NEET for 11 years, never had a job. Probably won't ever have one. I live a comfy life though, so all is good.
I have a job, but I have no guaranteed hours per week and it's only minimum wage, so I don't make very much money.
It sucks in a way, but also I'm not sure I could handle a full-time job
Yes but only because if I didn't I'd die.
You are weak becons for the deluded
Yes, I work 16+ hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week in a third world shithole. I earn a lot less than the american minimum wage.
Yeah, I'm a 21 y/o HVAC helper at an airport. Pretty good job and decent pay
Just got a job doing maintenance thanks to nepotism after being a neet for 7 months. It's only been 2 days and I already miss being a neet. Wagie and neet lives are both awful in their own way but neet life was the lesser of the two evils. I'm so tired lads
It's early days, lad; you'll get used to it.
