I missed a few questions from last thread because I fell asleep. I haven't forgotten about you though!

The funny thing is that I feel like I know her better than the person/people who wrote her. She last made an appearance in the lore back in april last year. She's one of the heroes who have had their role in the lore and story pushed to the side. If I was a writer first and foremost I'd try to develop a little more of her backstory but in a way that develops her character. Maybe look more into her quirks and personality as a whole. To be honest I'm kind of afraid for writing for her because I have the power to do stupid things like give her a self-insert love interest (which I would probably do, given the chance). Of course I'd try and stay as true as possible to her character as I can but as I mentioned before I know her well and am confident I can do her justice. Besides that I want to do something similar to what TF2 has with it's Meet The series. An introduction to the cast and a presentation of who they are and what they represent. Of course Overwatch has a much bigger hero pool and animations are a lot harder to make but I feel like it really needs it. At least for the heroes that don't already have 1 or even 2 animated shorts about them. They could also be in comic form. Another problem the story suffers from is that it refuses to move forward. If I was in charge of this I'd try to make a build up to a really big and important for the world event. This event could be experienced through content Blizzard puts out either outside of the game or preferably inside of it. Little bits would be put out slowly to give an effect that the story is actually developing in the worlds current time. Think Avengers. All characters would have their place and role in the story.

She would love city-builders. Relaxing while still requiring thought. Things like Dwarf Fortress, Cities Skylines, etc. Also I feel like Minecraft is the perfect game for her. Basically she would like the relaxing nature of autistic games.

I actually don't like having lucid dreams. It's way more fun when I don't have control of the direction and get a lot weirder and interesting results. However we would go exploring the crazy worlds I've made up in my mind together if such a dream was to occur.

I think she would like dark humour the most as there is a moment in her game when she runs away from an enemy but finds "Eat Me" cake which makes her bigger. The enemy is terrified and surprised of her size but she just smiles and kills him.

She has the master's morality as when something bad is happening she isn't afraid to confront what frightens or offends her. She has her goals and she tries to achieve them at any cost.
And Nietzsche was mentally ill too.

Medieval and western fantasy RPGs such as Mount & Blade and Skyrim, respectively. Their settings would be familiar and relatable to her, and she'd like the freedom of choice that comes with them. The numbers game that comes with any RPG would be the least of her concern, as she'd identify more with the characters and the world, and mods would allow her to shape the games into whatever her ideal versions would be.

I can also see her enjoying hack 'n slash games like DMC for their fast-paced combat.

Don't apologize, MercyAnon. Hero-based games like Overwatch and LoL suffer from the same issues when it comes to characters and story. I think the main issue is a lack of vision moving forward. There's no one person saying "This is what is going to happen" or "This is what the story needs to be", and eventually the people in charge of the lore stop caring outside of what affects their favourite characters. I appreciate that you care for your waifu's story.

Slapstick humor/physical comedy.

The closest would have been the bear Mor'du, the villain from her movie. He was less of a bear in the traditional sense and more of a monster than just happened to take the shape of a bear. I wish they'd given us more insight into his character, because when he died his spirit/soul seemed thankful for being free and yet remorseful for the damage he causes. Like Merida, he wanted his fate changed. But unlike her, it was too late for him to see the error of his ways.

I suppose that her mother counts as well, to some extent, even though they make amends. Merida's mother wanted her to be someone that she wasn't and thus they had a conflict. Of course, in the end, they work through their problems. Merida's mom is someone I understand yet at the same time I identify with her daughter more. She wants what's best for her child yet fails see that maybe she's projecting herself and her wishes unto someone who wants nothing of it.

Hm. I could see her liking Ayn Rand (or maybe Andrew Ryan's take on Rand's philosophy) to some extent, given that she advocated for self-interest. But I think she'd want appreciate someone who advocates for less control over a system. She would also like philosophers who believe in the notion of free will and that fate can be changed, although I know so little about philosophy that I can't really point to any concrete examples.

I can only really think of this in reference to Arcana Heart. Akane Inuwaka is sometimes set up as a kind of "nemesis" because she's another figure involved with ancient Japanese rituals and their honor. But Akane is mostly just playful and goofy about it, trying to "best" Maori and her older sister Tsuzune in combat. Akane is a fun foil to watch Maori interact with. Other than that, Maori's best friend Heart is actually her polar opposite in a lot of ways. While Maori is composed, responsible, and ladylike, Heart is genki, a little airheaded, and can't help but say everything she thinks and view the world a little too simply. This contrast makes them a great team though.

Arcana Heart doesn't have a ton of variation in this regard. The only canonical costumes I can think of off the top of my head are her typical miko robes, her school uniform, and her school swimsuit. And I love all of them! I guess I would rank them miko > sukumizu > seifuku, but I adore all three.

Now this is my kind of question! I think she would have a lot of respect and interest in the western philosophical tradition, including those who are concerned about man's ability to unite with a grander universe like Spinoza and Heidegger, and perhaps the ethics of those with strong senses of duty or an emphasis on kindness towards others like Plato and Epicurus, but ultimately feel more connection and empathy with that of the east. Being a Shintoist, the teachings of the Buddha, Lao-Tzu, and to a lesser degree Confucius are all very important to her worldview and indeed her very daily existence, even though Shintoism is distinct from these thinkers and can be thought of as using them as "influence" more than as "orthodoxy." Being involved in the manipulation of spiritual powers on a higher plane, I imagine she would have a deep learning and interest in the esoteric Buddhist schools of figures like Zhiyi, Kuukai, and the various Japanese Zen thinkers who they did so much metaphysical work for. One thing I love about Arcana Heart and all its characters is the way it seems to bring the beautiful and meaningful together from so many historical and philosophical traditions in pure style.

Hmm, not sure. I have a lot of really sexy anime figures, sex toys, and stuff like that, but I don't know if Maori would really be the type to disagree with that. Japan and its traditions don't really have the same negative view of sensuality that Abrahamic religions do. She just wouldn't want me to act ungracefully lewd in an unsuited part of my public life, which I don't. I'm very good at having a segregated private and public world, and that too is quite normal in Japan.

The only thing I can think of is that she takes her job way too seriously (even though it is pretty serious) and doesn't take enough time for herself or to relax. It would be problematic for me if it was problematic for her. Don't want her to be stressed or her mental health to deteriorate. Otherwise I love all her quirks.

She probably gets the optimal 7-8 hours of sleep. My range is wider though. Some days it might be 6 hours other it might be 10. It depends. Although I as well like getting my good night's sleep so I'm in top condition during the day. I like to imagine her waking me up with enthusiasm to start the new day.

She is used to travelling by air but I doubt she would mind other types of transport.

Did you read the arcana heart game's story in Japanese user? I remember playing it over a decade ago and really enjoying the game back then on my PS2. I thought Maori was cute.

She probably gets the usual eight hours. I stay up so late I don't get more than five or four, maybe less. I do get up fairly early though. She wouldn't get up early unless she has plans for what she wants to do. If that were the case she'd either hop on top of me or drag me out of bed.

there's no small amount of heroes in gotham, but batman is easily his "nemesis." i think he's a coward. i think he deserves nothing but suffering for hurting my jonathan. i want to hurt him.

i've always had a headcanon that he's a terrible sleeper. in an older comic with sandman, i think, he's mentioned being unable to sleep because of frequent night terrors. i can imagine he'd easily prefer to stay awake working only to eventually pass out at his desk. i don't tend to have many nightmares, but insomnia is something i have lots of experience with. i always like to imagine us sleeping together, cuddled in bed and talking about anything and everything until we fall asleep in eachothers arms.

Nods, I believe so. The way a lot of you talk sounds normal as well, like you have friends and had girlfriends. I just never really had a social circle at all. I just don't connect at all with others.

Normality is an impossibility for me. Waifuism would be nice since it would mean some sort of anchor, a connection to this reality. I don't get that fortune. And so while I understand the concepts, I don't get a waifu. And, due to the lack of consuming much if any new media, I doubt finding one.

People say not to hunt, but my normal mode is to pretty much avoid television as I find it boring to just sit there. I find most modern games unappealing, so my only connections are with old school titles where females don't even exist. I have had less contact with the opposite gender, even pixel related, as I managed to entirely cut out the sight of a female for several years and probably still would if not for the issues with my tulpa, the few VNs I have played, and the images on this site.
