ThinkPads are beautiful machines.

really a wonderful line of computers

Your house looks like a hotel room.

A more accurate portrayal

I love ritsu so much. BUT I LOVE YUI MORE. I LOVE YOU YUI

my x201 just turns off randomly so i stopped using it. putting new paste on the cpu and switching out the memory didn't work

Based and redpyiledlex

Probably battery problem or a loose connection

still happened even without the battery so i dunno

This is a good shop

Then im going to say loose connection

loose connection on the power plug?

So which one do you like to touch the most?

Probably not power plug because it wouldn't just die randomly while it had the battery in and im not sure where the loose connection would be

Muted color IPS screen/unusable TN screen, shitty plastic that wears down over time, pathetic resolutions even when they were new, have to remove the keyboard to get to the RAM...
ThinkPads are a bad meme.

>Never has looked into thinkpad mods and is judgine whole line by looking at one model

My battery T430s lasts 30 mins ;-;

I've owned a T60, T410, T520, X220. I bought my Grandpa and HP Elitebook 2560p which is far better than any ThinkPad I've ever used.
Lenovo is known for their poor quality. ThinkPads were great during the IBM era, but that ended decades ago. And no, just because it has an IBM logo on it doesn't mean it's actually IBM.

I thought you would mention Elitebooks. Yeah they do have their strengths but the keyboard is worse and has no middle click. Also no IPS screens and barely any mods.

I have an x230t and 2570p and I think the former is better for those reasons. But if it was a TN screen x230 I may just use the Elitebook.

You probably have one of the chink batteries or the battery is at the end of it's life which would make sense because these computers are old

I'd rather just use a Macbook desu. Somehow has better battery life, a FAR better screen, audible speakers, and a trackpad that manages to be better than a trackpoint.
The only real issues are how fragile they are, the cooling, and the keyboards.

If you use a mac your defiently not a robot.
Macs are literally the Stacey of the tech world. Your a basic normie.

You haven't used a Mac for any extended period of time. Either that or you're a Windows addict who thinks using a command line is bad.
Stop using Windows. Valve already fixed gaming on Linux.

Retarded POV.

I prefer Mio and Tsumugi

Quit projecting, I use a top-of-the-line Macbook for my job and I can feel my productivity dipped in molasses because of missing features that other Linux distros have.
Go shave your beard, techbro. Unless you have a JS framework to shill me?

>missing features that other Linux distros have.
Install them. That's what homebrew is for after all.
What features are you even missing?

>Go shave your beard, techbro. Unless you have a JS framework to shill me?
I'm not a pajeet. I don't work with computers.

The WM is fucking awful. There's a fuckton of animations that waste entire seconds of your time.
>install them
When I said missing I meant missing. I didn't mean mysql or some other obvious free software. Suppose I want window Alt-dragging. You have to pay real money on some proprietary unconfigurable piece of shit from some independent software vendor. To move windows around. And that's just one feature. Jesus christ, why not just use Linux?

What the fuck does this post even mean? I'm too much of a brainlet to understand a single word here

You can disable the animations, or just change them to ones that run faster. There's also tweaks you can do to multiply the animation speed if I remember right. The genie shit is the only animation that really feels slow IMO.

>I want window Alt-dragging.

Here's one that I found. There was another but it was 5 years old. There's also BetterTouchTool, but that's not free.

>why not just use Linux?
Lack of high PPI, shitty audio handling (can't switch outputs on the fly, can't stream audio to TV/receiver out of the box), every application having a different UI all of which end up being garbage, lack of applications like photoshop, no thumbnails in the file selection window, unable to drag things from the file selection window to an open file manager, inevitable package manager issues, poor color management...
If I did another install I'd remember more things that made me switch.
