Why do public D*scord servers suck so fucking bad?

It's genuinely uncanny how identical they are to each other and how they all suck in the same ways without fail.

Literally every single one of them is like this:
>a good portion of the server identifies as "memers", which means they have no discernible personality aside from reposting stale memes from other servers.
>30/50 of custom emoji slots are occupied by unfunny :thinking: edits which noone uses.
>95% of server is completely inactive, only a few powerusers regularly post.
>mods are very cliquey and see themselves as being superior to anyone outside their little group.
>inane rules which serve no purpose other than impeding discussion.
>most of the server worships a few select users (they're usually mods) and attempts to garner their attention in very retarded ways.
>if available, nsfw channels filled with shitty e-rping and very boring porn.

every single discord server, without exception, is filled with zoomers. if spending time in a zoomer chatroom sounds appealing then discord is the right place for you, otherwise dont bother with it.

Because discord is where the socially inept go to be social except they're inept at it so it's miserable.
As for the public Jow Forums discords or specifically the R9K public discords they're full of people with severe personality disorders that have usually at least 5 orbiters they command are are psychopaths. They then form their friend groups and if you're not liked within those groups before they're solidified getting into them is nearly impossible. Not that it's worth getting into them anyway. It's where all the worst sociopaths of r9k went and go now, it's not just normies flooding, it's a nest for the worst of the worst.

As for the rest of the servers some similar issues are once people establish their main friend group of usually 20 people even if they're active they don't allow any new users. The mods of servers often have a lot of severely strict anti social rules and end up impulse drama banning the users that make the place cool after getting into an argument with them and the servers will die out.
