What are your final grades? How are you spending your winter break?

seriously considering dropping out
>skipped a midterm because i was gonna fail
>averaging 50% so far
>more exams in 3 weeks
im fucked. maybe have to resit the year. i fucking hate uni.
not really uni but
>final exam for course is a pass/fail event for the entire course
>have to get a certain number of questions right in each module of the final exam
>had decent grades all during the course
>aced 5 out of the 6 modules
>failed the last module by 1 question
>failed the entire fucking course
Debating what to use my GI shekels on.
my prof. is somehow 100 times more of an autistic mess than I am so my grad now rests on a black box final worth 50%. I've never really experienced anything remotely as bad as this.
I'm going to Uni in the fall. What to expect? tips?
>21
>no vehicle or license
>been in and out of uni
>RIGHT on the edge of getting thrown out
>part time retail job
>disowned by family
>suck at cooking
How do I hop from blackpilled doomer to go-gettter?
it's even easier than high school. Just show up I guess.
3.7 GPA, just got done student teaching at a private catholic school, lunches were 10/10.
I'll be graduating in spring. Next semester I am taking 18 credit hours.
Right now I am working at UPS for winter break making some money. Decided on pursuing a graduate degree in history.
is it better socially than highschool too?
I'm waiting on a Grant that was supposed to arrive Last Friday. I might be homeless for the next semester.
if your taking engineering/CS, review your math.and learn to google. That's pretty much 99% of the degree.
>tfw doing comp eng
>0.9
Its over for me boys.
>Be me
>realize college is for fucking brainlets
>go to technical school
>program lasts 8 months
>Get job as siem analyst before I even graduate
>graduate
>pay 8k
>Now making 60k a year to start
why the fuck would you chose to go to college?
dont fucking go, do literally anything else.
Welp too late for that, plus I spent my entire school career grinding hardcore for college so it would feel like a waste to do anything else
Depends what you mean by better. I've found it hard to make friends, but I was never good at that. Never got bullied in high school, havent heard of anyone ever getting bullied in uni.
>final worth 35% of total grade
>had 64/100 total grade going into exam
>fail it
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK
the worst thing is we're not even allowed to go and check the grading for the exams. it's quite possible that i failed because that snobby TA wanted to fail my ass
if you have allready started paying, I guess finish out what you are doing,
But i am 21 and everyone I know who has gone to college either regrets it, or dropped out.
if you allready started though, I feel for you user, Just get through it. I believe in you.
Never skip class unless you're skipping from day 1 and will ace tests without showing up for lectures. Join a sports team (really) unless you're very sociable and make friends really easily because if you don't force yourself to group up and make friends you'll be alone for the entire duration of your study. It's that simple, just like highschool. Group up and get to know people asap or you'll be excluded from the friend circles as you move up in years. Sports teams force teamwork and will get you to know people as well as get started on lifting if you aren't already. I suggest starting to lift even if you don't join a sports team because it kills time and will remove and restlessness from you.
As for academics, you either get it or you don't. You'll realize that there are tons more people smarter than you and dumber than you. You just have to pray your prof for each course isn't complete shit otherwise your life in the course will be hell.
mfw final worth 30%, went in with 59 but just wrote bullshit for every single question because I had no clue how to answer anything. I failed both midterms and only have my grade through labwork. Need 28% on the final to pass the course and I don't think that's going to happen. I literally think about having to take an extra year due to failing every night before I sleep. Dunno about your school but mine allows final checking and remarking but it costs money to see your exam.
i got an A in a difficult math course and As in the rest of the garbage i have to take
it was ok
don't do anything this moron says. especially joining sports teams as a fucking robot. you will be forced to work with others in courses and could make friends there; you could join literally any club or interest group.
teach me how to get good grades brother
1. don't be a brainlet
2. don't fall midterms like a fucking brainlet
3. ???
4. profit
if you don't know what you're doing, read the book.
if you still don't know what you're doing after reading the book, go see the professor.
if you STILL don't know what you're doing after seeing the professor, choose something else to study because you are too dumb for whatever you're currently in.
>make friends from group work
Not sure what bullshit communications major you're doing but there normally aren't that many group projects in STEM. And when there are, people just focus on splitting the work and getting shit done and over with. Getting too pushy from simple group work just makes you look like a creep to everyone else. By joining a sports team you get to be formally introduced/vetted and then forced to work in something that requires actual teamwork and bonding. Of course if he didn't want any friends he doesn't need to do any of this and go to class and go home and hope that he lucks into finding someone.
tell me again which communications major takes abstract algebra
don't reply to me you fucking moron you need a 28% on a final to get a D and you can't even do that.
are campuses normally ghost towns on the weekends?
3.8 engineering gpa, I take my last final tomorrow at 8AM. I'm a senior, next semester I graduate.
But haven't talked to any girls irl in college.
youtube.com
Any of you not graduating on time? I still have three finals for classes I'm barely passing. I don't know a thing for any of them, and I can't retake them next semester since all the classes are full. It'll be five years minimum for me most likely, unless I somehow cram in everything for all three classes in the next two days.
Supposed to graduate Spring 2019 but I failed a bunch of shit in calculus so now im delayed til 2020
not in uni anymore but the uni feels are pouring in like crazy...
>took another practice exam Ochem this time
>60%
this shit is driving me mad an worst of all is making me anxious, the more anxious I get the more my brain fogs up and shuts down on me.
fuck I wana be back in uni...
What's your major? I took calc II this semester and also probably failed.
I'm doing Comp Eng. Started in Fall 2015.But I'm finally sort of back on track. Passed calc 3, taking diff eq next semester and diff eq 2 next fall.If your not watching patrickJMT or professor leonard please do so.
the only two ways I can see someone struggling with calc 2 is either refusing to do the work or concentrating on theory vs just working through problems. It's a really easy class with the right approach.
>If your not watching patrickJMT or professor leonard please do so.
Never heard of these guys. I'll check them out.
>either refusing to do the work or concentrating on theory vs just working through problems
Both of these actually. Got lazy and just read the textbook. Had other classes to work on too. To be honest, I took on a bit too much this semester.
The charade is over robots. There are very low odds that my meme political science degree will take me anywhere. I'm in my final year and instead of feeling accomplished, I feel like I have learned nothing useful. I'm already relearning math again so I can become a surveyor. At least that looks pretty cool.
i got an a in all my easy writing and required classes but i got a d in calc 1 and basic chem and i want to major in math. guess i need to start practicing more
t. freshman
nah you should just pick another major that doesn't involve math. don't go down this road
>moved my gpa up to 3.9
Im not doing a fucking thing this break, I'm shocked I didnt shoot myself this semester. It was an absolute grind.
take it from me
You don't want to waste money and years pursuing a meme degree. If you're going to stay in uni then go STEM.
I'm the opposite of you. I wish I chose a meme degree that I enjoy instead of STEM. There's no guarantee of getting a job with STEM and I'm still a sperg with no social skills anyway. It's a fucking pain. At least I would have learned stuff I liked with a meme degree.
grad school nigga
>delaying the inevitable by 4 more years of debt
oh no
I was taking 4 classes this semester but I had to drop one because I neglected the coursework. It said it wasn't due till the middle of december and the instructor decided to make half the homework due in november which i vaguely remember him saying but i got confused by the deadline set on the computer. also i didn't do one of the easiest papers which was just describing our experiences in the class this far. ended up being a 100 points. did well on all the tests though. dropped the class because i didn't want to take the hit to by gpa when i knew i could do better had i done the coursework. got all Cs in my other 3 classes and i now have a 2.5 gpa
lol why do so many people just not do any work at all in math classes... if that was the plan, just go for a meme degree like a normal person.
Okay but don't expect to stop at a bachelors if you want a job. I simply don't want to double down on a masters or to go to law school. Writing essay with the possibility of no pay off is just soul crushing. I'm going to cut my losses and go STEM if my bachelor's can't do shit. I even have the benefit of being bilingual in Canada which of I've been told is good for getting government job but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I suggest just reading up political theory and history in your free time and going to uni/college to get the piece of paper that is most likely to get you a job.
also one grade was 1 point away from being a B and bumping by grade up. its based on the letter only and they don't count anything between 70-79% for a C. just knowing that I could've done better if I'd just turned in the 1st assignment, and that i could've done more than a tad worse and it wouldn't have effected my grade, making extra work id done gone to waste, makes me feel pretty bad
>I suggest just reading up political theory and history in your free time and going to uni/college to get the piece of paper that is most likely to get you a job
That's the thing. Since I hate STEM, it takes way more effort for me to understand it and I barely have free time to do the things I like. Sure, I'll potentially be paid more, but what's the point if I constantly have to work my ass off just to keep up?
>actually having to work
yeah, welcome to not getting a meme degree. Everyone is working hard, not just you. Price you pay to not work at walmart for the next century.
I guess that's why so many normalfags are so bland and similar. They're dragged down by work and have no time to cultivate hobbies or a personality. And I guess I'll have to join them eventually.
dont mean to flex but my family doesnt care and this feels pretty good
Your school offers a class on the Beatles?
Dont be recluse: join every thing that interests you and go to every relevant workshop you can afford to
>STEMfag thinks the world is walmart or nothing
Always knew you fags weren't as smart as you looked
Not him but I made several bros from my circuit analysis class as an EE
