I study in one of the richest cities in the US, and in reality they aren't much better than anywhere else. Just tiny old apartments that used to be filled with poor Italians/nigs. If you could make something like this trendy to millenials they'd live there

St Louis had a block like that, but because of niggers and how hard high-rises are to maintain it became so shitty that the very idea of living in an apartment is like living in a war zone to most Americans outside of the downtown areas of some large cities.

My dorm building was kinda like this, there was two or so communal kitchens at the end of certain floors. Each "suite" had two dorms, a bathroom, and a closet, I moved my bed into the closet and basically lived there for the four years I went.
Yes, everyone who knew where I slept made "in the closet" jokes.

Some of them come with sound proof walls and have plenty of space for a small group of people.

There is plenty of commie blocks in american and they started building them in the 60's. Its called section 8 housing and in nearly every city in the country. Its just not intended for white folk. Poor white folk live in trailer parks but the government doesn't assist with rent but with foodstamps and child tax credits.

In Kentucky if you're poor enough and make a 3.5 GPA they'll even help you pay for college (if the college is in Kentucky). Some schools even stopped charging for lunch because they're in areas too poor to feed everyone.

Its intention was to provide much needed housing accomdations for the growing population and families moving to the big cities during the booming economy of the 1950s and 60s. I can attest to this. I left california a few years ago and things are a lot easier around here, housing-wise. And the salaries are still decent for many jobs. In the past few weeks, I saw 3 restaurant chains have help wanted signs for management. Salary in the 50k range, benefits, 401k, the works.

I just checked and there's condos around here for in the 100's and there's a few that are less than that.
