Doomed to robothood from birth. Way to instantly isolate me from my classmates.

My parents played a lot of N64 when they were in college, together. They had all three of those games. Still do.

Trust, me, OP, as a fellow Playstation man, you did NOT miss out, they have not aged well.

Thankfully, I grew up with good video games. When I was 11, my parents let me and my friends wait in line for the midnight release of Skyrim. Got back from college for winter break, last week, and I've dusted off my vintage PS3 to play again. Holy shit, dudes, all that childhood nostalgia came flooding back. Skyrim, the Arkham games, GTA V, Uncharted... dude, all the kids at my school thought I was the man! Same with my college class.

PS....1? N....64?

Lol. That's good shit. A VINTAGE PS3 BRUV? That's amazing!

I have a ps3 here I fucked over. It was ready to go to where I could throw a bunch of emulators on it and then I accidentally updated it. Fucking killed me inside.

>11 skyrim
get the fuck out zoomer scum

>that kid whose parents bought him a gamecube for christmas and took it away because he got shit grades
me

only goldeneye 64 was something really good for the time, who cares about the other nintensoy games most good games were on the other platforms too (psx and dreamcast)

>A VINTAGE PS3 BRUV? That's amazing!
Fuck yeah, it is! I even still have the Nintendo Wii that I've been rocking since I was six years old, dude! LOTS of great memories playing that with my parents. Kids today don't know what it's like to grow up with the classics, nowadays, you know? Feel bad for the kids who didn't grow up playing Twilight Princess and WiiSports.

N64 was kinda assy in retrospect....

>games didn't age well
>very few rpgs
>platformers all devolved into collectathons
>3D was in it's infancy

It was in my teen years I found out what I was missing.
>JRPGS Gallore
>stilll look good to this day
> many games with Japanese audio

Thank god the PS2 had backward comparability.

TOO YOUNG

My parents didn't even get me a console till I was like 7

No, YOU gtfo!
[spoilier]FUS

RO DAH[/spolier]

Seriously, how old are you two? 35, at least? Man, you guys played the kind of games my parents played when they were in college, like, an eternity ago! Get back to your office jobs, you two!

@49953027
1/10 at least try to shitpost

That kid is now on /v/ acting like Spyro wasn't poor man's Banjo-Kazooie.

Thread destroyed, OP BTFO

>Seriously, how old are you two?
30
> Man, you guys played the kind of games my parents played when they were in college, like, an eternity ago

Nope your parents had you too early, they sound irresponsible and you probably grew up poor.

>Get back to your office jobs, you two
Implying I am not a game dev an I can't post from work

kek true he also probably missed out on smash 64, at the same time he could have played most survival horrors 64 didn't have

nah b,
>missed out on smash 64
Rather have missed that than Lunar, Arc the lad, and FF9

>SNES
Early to mid childhood
>Nintendo 64
Mid to late childhood
>Nintendo GameCube
very late childhood to very early teens

I switched to the Xbox after that. I didn't own or play another Nintendo console until the Switch came out. It's like the Nintendo 64 of 2010s consoles.

>Rather have missed that than Lunar, Arc the lad, and FF9
That sounds gay.

Fucking hell. I'm currently finishing my first year in college, at 29, majoring in computer science, and I've been considering transferring to a technical school to take a commercial driving class, so I can get my CDL in 9 weeks, but shit, if I get to shitpost on Jow Forums, as a programmer, I might as well wait for the bachelors degree.

nah b, smash 64 looks like shit now,
and those survival games were shitty.
Why the fuck do we need ink rolls to save?

>smash 64 looks like shit now
TAKE THAT BACK YOU FAGGOTY PIECE OF SHIT

The PS1 equivalents of those would be
>MGS1
>FFVII
>SotN

still pretty good

See, those are some good PS1 titles to name, not what that other faggot wrote.

im not him, I looked them up Lunar appealed to me
the exploration and atmosphere makes those games

it really seemed like a beta test for melee
Stop having nostolgia goggles.

programer?
No,no I am a character artist.

Same shit; you work in an office doing whatever you want.

Fuck off back to rebbit, zoomer.

But only one of those games you posted are good

They were all good, when they came out.

lmao op, everyone had either a PS1 or an N64. not a single post in this thread from anyone with a sega saturn
>mfw daytona usa posting, feels good man

I'm confused. All the Chads played PS1/PS2 games when I was a little kid.
Nintendo was the nerd console.

All of those but SotN were also on PC. Lol. What a brick.

Even today I prefer the old ps1 games a lot more. Crash 1,2,3 ctr, spyros, ape escape, rayman, tekken.
Really hyped for the ctr remake coming, there doesn't exist a racing game with that good boost drifting mechanics

>underage
>shooter
I only played Mario and Zelda, growing up.

your gaming profile is limited and you have a limited view.

>not agreeing with your childhood friend to always get competing consoles so you can bring them over to each others houses

but the PS1 was waaay better OP

>falling for this baitt

Attached: 1522086525912.jpg (600x600, 35K)

playing on the ps1 together with my sister are the last memories i have of having fun with her. something changed in me and for some reason i don't talk to her anymore..

>parents buy me a N64
>pester dad to play it with me for weeks
>he's not interested
>he finally gives in and plays
>find him playing it the next day on his own
>ask to play with him
>"I don't think this game can do that, maybe later"
>he plays on his own for hours
>he keeps doing this for weeks
>we suddenly "lose" the second controller
>he plays for hours every day
>screams at my mother when she asks him to stop

N64 was only good if you had friends to play with, thus the PS1 is the Jow Forums approved console.

PS1 rocked, get out of here with your historical revisionism. I played GTA2 on that shit.

bait? I am speaking the truth, PS1 was an rpg heaven.

I was poor and had precious little. Now they want to attack emus. Cunts.

Hey look, a cunt that earned nothing in life.

I got a ps1 first and an n64 a few years later so I could get pokemon stadium and snap. Banjo kazooie, the zeldas and goldeneye were good too, but I never had close to as much fun as I did with the play-station and those demos that came free with the magazine.

snap is shit.
Also you played the wrong games on the ps1

I find it incredibly amazing that the Wii U is backward compatible with every Nintendo game.

why is "having rpgs" a good thing? The whole point OP is making is that having a playstation is more likely to make you a shut in loser.

You think this is a good thread don't you?

If you find emulators amazing in current year you must be very young.

Does anyone else have backwards compatibility for software from all of their systems since 1986? If you don't find it incredible, you're incredibly boring.

rpgs are great you little girl.
>novels in the form of a game
>overall best game music
>interesting discussion points
>will last you months

It's 1999, you get a 12 dollar allowance a week, wtf are you going to buy?
>platformer done in three sessions
>or an rpg that will last you 2 months

It's ;logic dude

Seriously, it would be the equivalent of using your xbox to run DOS games.

>that kid who got this instead of a gameboi

;_;

Attached: 58605980.jpg (720x960, 86K)

It was decent for a child. I was a child. Obsessed with anything pokemon, Stadium was worse imo. I can give snap a run through these days and mildly enjoy it but not stadium.

also what? I played other ps1 games too obviously. I just fondly remember the demos.

It pissed me off when I was 11, I wanted a GAME
not on rails photography. With only a few tracks

Stadium was just an extension of the game, not worth the money, but it was alright.

>tfw parents too poor to afford xbox live
>get ps3 instead
