I was high for 3 days straight without sleep, my heart was beating so fast it was terrifying, my whole body was convulsing like I was having a seizure, I heard my dead mother speaking to me clear as a bell, I couldn't remember my name or where I was, sentences in my head were scrambled, nothing made sense and my short term memory was destroyed and I woke up on day 4 still high but manageable.

It was the most uncomfortable experience of my life and I'd rather get hit with a baseball bat than go through it again.

At least with alcohol you do stupid shit and pass out eventually. High doses of weed is like being thrown off boat in the middle of the ocean with cement shoes but you still can breath. Fuck that shit

Portugal decriminalized drugs back in 2001 and saw little to no increase in recent drug use (lifetime rates went up as a result of experimentation, but not many actually stuck with it). Services for drug users expanded, resulting in a sharp deacrease in drug-induced deaths.
Whether or not marijuana is harmful is completely irrelevant, people who want to do it are going to do it whether it's legal or not. Portugal shows that the key to solving the drug crisis isn't stronger drug laws, but better services for those in need.
