This was always weird to me. Getting kicked out so young is not a thing in europe

only the shitty parents do that, most are fine with the kid living at home as long they go to school or work and help toward paying expenses.

Gotta keep the system going somehow, goy.

>American economic bubble from WWII allows the Baby Boomer generation to buy large houses that appreciate dramatically in value at rock bottom cheap prices and get high paying jobs without post-secondary education, literally in the economic position at age 18 most people today are at only in the better half of their 20s if that, home ownership is considered a dead dream or basically an impossibility where I live
>evil cunt baby boomers are unable to understand that they experienced absolutely unprecedented and more importantly TEMPORARY economic fortune, assume their good fortune was their own hard work, just world fallacy lets them decree everyone who came after them is just lazy
>in reality it's actually everything returning to normal

Generational homes and long term domestic stays with parents were the norm, then the baby boomers got to seize an economic bubble they had no part in creating and move out at 18, and now that phenomenon has imbued itself into the national culture even though the extremely temporary circumstances that made it possible no longer exist.

Seriously.

Must've been nice to have life on easy mode. Get an entry level job and work your way up the ranks at a corporation.

The really frustrating thing is that the world the baby boomers lived in (and the culture it created that survived up until 2008) was always seen as a the norm, but in reality it was a massive bubble, just nobody could see it because it existed on a scale that was larger than the timescale we typically use in our typical human life. This horrible dystopian economically ruinous future we're heading into, everyone freaking out about the disappearing middle class, it isn't a new phenomenon, it's a return to form, to normalcy.

And the baby boomers won't even suffer for it, because their evil social security system allows them to steal from the generations they screwed over. And then that same system will fall apart because it's built on (impossible) infinite growth, so the people who were buttfucked by the system in their youth won't have that system once they reach the age it is meant to swing the other way and benefit them.

its gonna be one hell of a ride, i myself can't wait to "retire" because i'm too beat down and crippled to work anymore

>paying rent to your parents
I don't see the problem. I paid a part of my autismbux to my parents when I still lived at home.

>Watch on the right wrist

The person on the left is the only one in that picture that doesn't disappoint their ancestors.

>grandmother tells me to choose my degree carefully because I'm going to be doing it for the next 35 years
>tell her that I'm going to be working it for the next seventy years and current economists foresee my generation working until the day we die

t. brainlet who knows nothing about history
The American middle class was largest during the 19th century.

*white americans

this isn't a thing in most non-white families

It's a thing in Western Europe too.

Speak for yourself, manchild.

>Speak for yourself, manchild.
What are you on about lol

Only dumb lower middle class boomer parents do this, parents that actually earned their lot in life instead of being the product of a time of plenty know kicking their kids out at 18 leads to mediocrity at best or poverty at worst.

Don't care i said nuke the planet of scum. Give the roaches a chance. Fuck humans to hell.

You're not supposed to live with your parents after uni, idiot.

This is what the brainlet/capitalcuck/dixiefag actually believes.

Attached: 1542079870387.jpg (672x787, 31K)

Uni takes time to finish. Also, who else are you gonna live with? After finishing university you have to pray to god you get a decent enough job that doesn't require experience and even if you do you, it's still so much smarter to save money for a few years and keep living with your parents instead of moving out and paying rent
What i'm saying is, you should move out but only when your situation is stable enough

Europeans are arrogant and pretentious about the strangest things. One tourist from Britain here told me he found it genuinely unsettling that there were so many American flags on people's houses. He genuinely thought the people that did that were racists.

>>American parents kicking their kids out / making them pay rent is a legitimate thing
Not for white people(real Americans)

He's a cuck if he finds that unsettling but i understand why he thinks its weird. You rarely see that in Europe

Everybody hates retarded Engerlel tourists, most of all Europeans.

I bet you never even took basic economy courses you communist scum

Because it's some weird North Korean style shit. In normal countries, you see the flag on government buildings. They don't need to remind themselves which country they're in every time they drive down a residential street, and it's mainly conservative Americans who do it anyway.

>loving your country is some north korean style shit, stop doing it

Europeans remind me of rape victims

>it's mainly conservative Americans who do it anyway.
white democrats will do this too. The working class democrats at least.

Being Gen Z is literally the JUST life. Even being a good slave means I can't afford to move out of the house, since I have to pay rent so any money I could save goes out the window. All the while you have everyone telling you you're a failure for not taking out loans to go to meme college.

When is that NEET colony getting built?

Please, whites do it the most if anything

This is how you become strong and independent. It's the reason America rules the world.

It's not just in America. It's in Scandinavia too, and I'm quite sure it happens sooner than in America since Americans seem to treat 20-year-olds still like kids.

I wasn't "kicked out" but it was more like my father starting to say things like "maybe we should start looking for an apartment of your own?" This was when I was 21 years old which was quite late to move out. But I was happy about it because my parents helped with everything and now I get more money from social security. It's nice to have your space.

I'm American and I live at home. Nothing wrong with it as long as you work/go to school and contribute to the household in some regard (either financially and/or through housework).

Only potential issue is you won't have privacy for sex, but that shouldn't be a concern for anyone who truly belongs on r9k.

>now I get more money from social security

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK

It's meant to help those who need it the most. Why would someone who lives with their parents need it?

>18 years old
>pay $250 rent to mother every month
>add $200 between car insurance/gas/repairs
>another $50 a month for phone service
>also in college
>never have spending money, can't remember the last time i bought something for myself other than replacing my phone charger and getting a drink at a gas station
>mom wonders why I'm not any closer to moving out than I was the day I finished high school
I just want to go back to being in highschool again man

Seconded, although I'm european. I don't earn money, but I do housework and get along well with my parents. But I guess it's easy for me because I don't actually want to start a family, I think I'll always be the weird adult with pets.

This is what made me drop out. Damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of deal.

It is in the UK
>Be halfpaki
>Westernised enough to function in the UK, enjoy bacon and sausages, and forget Eid but not Christmas
>Family structure always confuses uni peers though
>"Ur family doesn't charge you rent? How will u learn to pay rent when u move out?"
>"Ur gonna live with ur family after u graduate? Won't they kick you out 4 indapendenssss?"
>None of them know what multigenerational living is
>None of them were raised by grandparents; all were raised by some liberal brainwashing transgender centres by "daycare teachers"
The family structure here is cucked. Thank god for my paki heritage saving me from degeneracy.

A black mother will still support her son after he's convicted of rape and murder
A white nuclear family will disown their kid if they're caught smoking

>be me, euro
>become 21
>now legally an adult
>get shamed by parents every day
>leave home
>move to shitty apartment
>get shitty sidejob to pay rent
>pursue higher education on the side

It's not good for personal development to live at home too long. I'm experiencing this now at 26, it's kind of fucking depressing desu lad

Wtf are you on about?
That is literally the ethnicity that does it the most

it's actually a good thing
it forces them to adapt
I wish my parents were like that
and I wish I was born in america

It's only bad if your parents raise you lazy and don't make you want to be a proactive member of the family household. I'm entering a joint property deal with the parents where we will pool rental incomes to secure a large plot of land with houses to protect ourselves and future generations against any housing crises. That will give my future kids more time to focus on education and career development, instead of worrying whether their summer job can pay for the years rent between community college ethnic studies classes.

>be me, euro
>become 21
>now legally an adult
you do realize you become an adult by the age of 18 in europe? learn to larp

Did you read a wikipedia article, how cute ;).

It forces the kids to reinvent the wheel. Nobody in the family gets beyond working class because everyone's too focussed with putting bread on the table and keeping a roof over their own head to develop and ascend to a better quality of life. Instead of learning from the past generation's mistakes, you're making those same mistakes yourself. If anything else (a company, science, society as a whole, etc.) worked like that, we'd be fucked.
That's exactly why poor people are poor and stay poor.

I pay rent and have a full time job, help out and whatnot. No girl wants to fuck some guy in his room at his dad's house though. Or not many anyway. I let it affect my social life and I don't even bother trying to date. It's time to move on for me

>what is capacity
>what is legal threshold for age of majority

Attached: flat,750x1000,075,t.u1.jpg (750x1000, 35K)

I noticed a lot of teenagers making a lot of self deprecating jokes and joking about suicide a lot more than when I was a teen

Shut up pajeet get to work

I've honestly just accepted that the age of prosperity that our granparents experienced was purely a fluke that happened due to mere chance.

The current atmosphere of economic uncertainty and depression is simply the way that it was prior to the economic boom post WW2- the way things are supposed to be.
Were never going to get another time period like that ever again. Things are only going to get worse, until they stabilize and then it becomes just "okay".

Attached: 1545032148933.png (442x383, 202K)

those are from 16 you fucking brainlet, 21 is required only for shit like EU parlament and certain political positions
they literally teach that in middle school

>age of majority
>21

"Ironic" depression memes and jokes about killing yourself have grown immensely in popularity in recent years.

Most of the people who do it ARE racists, and its cringe as fuck.

I think it's all cope, because they don't see anything good happening anytime soon for them

not every europoor is like him, dirty polack here and I can see 2 flags on balconies from where I'm sitting right nnow

>its not racist!
>we do it in Poland!

Ummmm

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_in_America
Read a book sometime.

The kicking the kid outta the home part is fucked up but making them pay rent or at least contribute to it okay imo.

I am 22 and I still live with my mother and sister. I regularly pitch in some cash for food, water, gas, electricity etc. I also pay for my own stuff (videya, booze, clothes). Most of my friends still live with their parents and do the same. Nothing wrong with it imo.

>Poland
>not a fascist pseudoamerifat hellhole

So was the slave population.

>lives in a country with "middle school"
>wants to school euros
All stereotypes confirmed.

every middle class white person over 40 views life through this antiquated work ethic idea.
They were raised in an era where the only difference between economic success and failure was simply effort. Most of them don't understand that you can apply for literally hundreds of jobs and not even get a call back. no matter how much you try to reason with them they will find workaround logic to still cling onto this idea of work ethic

Moved out when was 19 (UK).

At first it was for uni, so I'd return for a couple of months in the summer, but after uni I stopped that and now only return for Christmas. 31 now.

I can't imagine wanting to live with your parents in your 20s. As a male, it's a natural instinct to want to "leave the nest" and strike out on your own.

Attached: PJAFo8H.jpg (678x3395, 453K)

I'm British and my mum did the same thing. Although she did make me move out to a flat that she had bought so it's not all bad I guess. Have to pay all my bills but don't have to pay as much rent as one normally would.

From an American perspective, I don't think this "times of economic hell" is all there is to this world. Opportunity is all there if you seize it. Even wage-slaves can make enough money/have enough government assistance to find gainful employment not be wage-slaves forever. I'm reading "The Future of Humanity" by Michio Kaku and he talks about the industries that will be highly lucrative in the future, and there's a lot there. The future is up to us ultimately, if the youth of America gets gender studies degrees and browses Jow Forums all day, there's going to a much different reality than if we go into lucrative fields doing things that need to be done. I know Jow Forums doesn't like positive, "you can do it champ" rhetoric, but honestly. Muh bootsraps. Think of the great men of history, they were man of hard circumstances.

I know it may be near impossible for some people, and it's easy for me to say this. But you guys can do it, I believe in you all. Because I believe in the potential of humanity.

As much as I hate pakis you lot at least got that right.

ITT: fucktarded millennials that have no idea what Gen C went through

what are you talking about, it's called gymnasium here and I just posted middle school not to confuse people with gymnasium(hall where you play sports)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gymnasium_(school)

>tfw my boomer stepdad who had been with my mom since I was a pretty young kid was already unironically getting on my ass constantly about moving out before I even finished high school
I mean, it's not like I was a trouble maker or anything, and I almost never borrowed/took money from either of them..

Attached: sad_knight.jpg (651x655, 58K)

Kek I love when Euros get so pretentious they start making fun of other Euros for being too American

Says who? What if you land a job and want to save a bit more money so you're set up better when you eventually move out? There's literally no downside if you have a healthy relationship with your parents. No one here gives a shit if a uni student lives with their parents.

I'm glad my family aren't like that. They expect a bit of moneh monthly but that's because they're dirt poor, and I'm more than happy to oblige if possible.

So? Fuck niggers, the only mistake was not deporting all of them when the time came like all the smart founding fathers wanted.

But the smartest founding fathers were race-mixers, frendo.

>be me, mentally ill ukfag
>kicked out by parents when I was 17
>now I'm 20 and homeless
Its not just an american thing.

Attached: 1544351486458.jpg (960x732, 59K)

American here

Most won't actually have the balls to kick you out but they will bitch about you living there, especially when you're arguing. If you have a job they will often demand you pay rent.
They act like they want you up and on your feet ASAP yet they do shit like that to slow you down.

No europeans look like that, europeans are mostly arabic or brown

My parents make me pay $140 a month to have a maid clean the house even though I've offered to clean the house myself.
Can you believe that?
$1700 a year to have a lady clean the house.
Ridiculous man.

>white americans
oxymoron you fucking mentally retarded walking aids

I love how the jews convinced burgers that you NEED your own house and you MUST own at least one car

holy fuck, you're beyond retarded. dont ever breed, i beg you
