Most of them are doing it as a reaction to prior trauma or a way to opt out of womanhood like anorexics do in response to puberty. A big reason why I think a man can't become a woman is because of how complicated the female experience is- even from infancy boy and girl babies are treated differently and given different expectations. A child goes through girlhood and starts to become a teenager and the world starts sexualizing you immediately, in-your-face and indirectly. A lot of teens and young women don't conform perfectly to society's gender roles and instead of being tomboys (you know, like they used to be called) trannies have given them an "out", an escape, they can just become a man, grass is greener, they'll have their control and they'll be safe and.. and then you have people like pic related who realized what they were doing to themselves.
It's funny how trannies claim to be all about accepting people when their movement seems to think ticking off certain gender stereotypes are all it takes to be a man or woman and you have to change yourself to be "who you really are". Maybe these people should get therapy, you know, the kind of therapy to help them ACCEPT themselves and not Dr. SJW's "fix" of hormone blockers and testosterone pills.
