They kicked my sister out at one point, so they might do it to me. I say that I'm going to work on programming projects for experience and I wind up wasting my time on the Internet instead and I think they're sick of it. I don't have a job and rarely do anything productive. My mom randomly gets upset about having adult children living at home and insists that we don't contribute enough in the way of doing chores or paying for things. I think one of these days she's just going to snap and kick one or both of us out.

Late 20's early 30's. I went to uni and graduated and she didn't. I feel like they're more likely to try to kick me out because I don't have a job, though. They know I'm not well mentally but I think my parents may just decide some day that it's better for me to live on my own and pay all my own expenses.

Just a normal retail type job. I really ought to consider doing the same at this point. I keep telling myself that I'll get a programming job someday or sell some software of my own creation, but more time keeps passing. I just don't seem to be able to stick to a plan or get anything done.

I have no experience with programming outside of school aside from maybe some simple toy projects like a chip-8 emulator or some attempts at making a game engine. I've thrown the files away at this point. I never seem to be able to pick something and work on it. I want to write a compiler for fun but I doubt anyone would really care if I wrote one. I wish I could make something that people would actually want to use even if I had to give it away for free.

I might settle for using a freelance site and making websites or something. Pay isn't great, but it's better than $0/hr making open source software no one will ever download.

The people I'm renting a room from almost did because they didn't want me to pay rent and "couldn't afford me", and I had a hard time finding a job for awhile. I kept trying to initially pay them rent during the three months I moved in but they kept denying me. I had 3k to keep me afloat for awhile so it was dumb. In their minds having me out on the streets was more sensible than living here and me paying some money, it was a weird situation. Its all good now since we talked and I pay them barely a week's paycheck a month to cover my expenses although it hurt our communication in the long run.
