Whats stopping you from going vegan?
Whats stopping you from going vegan?
I'm not gay and I like having muscles.
being the species that I am
Meat tastes too good to stop eating it.
I enjoy the taste of meat and don't care about the lives of livestock.
Nothing, I just don't want to stick to the rigours of zero-animal dieting. I won't eat a cow or a pig though.
It's not self sustaining without supplements and even then you will be a wimp.
I just ate raw beef liver and we cooked a whole piglet for Christmas, enjoy your vitamin a deficiency cuck
I don't care. I can't even be sure the animals in farms exist when I'm not observing them, or the world outside my field of vision for that matter.
Habit, mostly. Vegetarian for ages, but dairy products are in everything. I can swap out milk itself for an alternative, but so many sweets have some form of milk it's crazy. I'm gonna limit it this year though.
REALITY IS SYNTHETIC
What's the problem with taking supplements?
I love meat.
I love cheese.
I love milk.
Leather is alright too.
nothing. If you have the time and money to make the supplements an enhancement like athletes. Most Vegans need supplements just to continue functioning properly.
As a vegan you need to take B12 supplements. but what is the problem they are really cheap.
zinc
iron
d3
You don't need to take zinc or iron, as long as you eat a variety of plant foods.
No large scale studies show vegans having problem with these nutrients more than the general population.
Vitamin D you can get it from the sun, and in winter (or if you live in a country with little sunlight) you can take a supplement, which is cheap as well and meat-eaters might need to take as well.
B12 has a shitty absorption rate. Its not toxic so you can take it a lot and just piss it out without ever getting the benefit. And vegans tend to not eat as much fiber to give it the time it needs in your colon.
I had a b12 deficiency for years and had to get it injected for 2 months.
B12 deficiency will leave you tired and weak. You could easily have the deficiency and think you are just tired or lazy.
EPA/DHA
Fish is a bad source of omega 3s EPA and DHA because they have environmental pollutants, which are bad for you.
Both meat eaters and vegans are better off getting their EPA and DHA from pollutant-free sources like algae oil.
Every study that I have read on vitamin B12 has shown that for vegans and non vegans alike it gets absorbed just fine for the majority of people, if the dose is the correct one (most studies test with the cyanocobalamin version of vitamin B12 as it's cheaper).
If you have absorption problems, you probably have it whether you are a meat eater or not.
I have been vegan for 4 years now, and my blood tests show perfect levels of b12 and I don't feel tired.
There's no such thing as vegan. Animal products aren't limited to food. You cannot avoid it.
Almost everything is polluted. What do you eat? There's arsenic in most rice. Do you eat just avocado and beans or what? The idea is that YOU NEED to supplement more as a vegan than as an omnivore I've been vegan for almost a year and I didn't feel an better.
Because vegan food tastes like shit.
They all do steroids m8.
My fang teeth who i have to eat meat with
You can avoid most of them if not all.
There is a vegan alternative for all of them.
The point is to influence the supply of these products so that society slowly and gradually changes.
If it works for you it works for you. But not everyone is smart about it. Plus there are plenty of other cascading factors. Such as having a low protein day causing mild anemia, weakening the lining of your colon and fucking up other shit you need to absorb.
No matter how people try to spin it . You could always just eat an egg every now and again rather than juggle pills.
Isn't that a little bit of a double standard though?
I'm evolved to eat both meat and plants so I do just that. Going against nature is just retarded
I go nuts if I don't eat proper meat for two days, and cut a lot of ham and bread and eat it like a hungry animal (otherwise I'm a skellie who doesn't eat much).
Also, read Kant.
I could really try but even normal food is insanelly expensive here (worse than Canada much worse)
i have a gut condition that murders me if I eat fiber.
I like eating meat
original
because being vegan isn't good for the environment
I like dog dick
Humans aren't hervibores and cannot function on such a diet without stuffing themselves with supplements. Which already tells you that it isn't a good idea.
Veganism is unhealthy
