My grandmother was one of those old-fashioned Chinese buddhists and I just sort of agree with her concept of it, that is that life is suffering and that death will be fine as long as I do my best to be a great person.

I view it as a computer turning off permanently, but the internet still exist. We lose our senses, which are our tools for experiencing reality, but other tools still exist, so it's not like everything stops existing, and there is just a void. You just aren't "you" anymore, and instead, reality is seen through a different set of tools

I'm thinking it's better to have lived than to not live at all. Nature forms us and we become conscious through evolution's workings. There is an infinite before we are born and an infinite after. We may despair because, why would you want to lose something you enjoy? Some people commit suicide. The ones that don't have some inner reason for still being around. Because we simply do not know what happens after death.
I'm just thinking it's nothing. There will be no concept of life, good, bad, happiness, or sadness. I feel like life is pointless at times, but I was given it for free. I might as well live it until whatever means decides to end it.

I think death is however one views it. Though one ceases to exist, it can't be known that death could have possibly even been the goal of life, akin to what some view as heaven.

We're already a collective of things that communicates to itself to accomplish general goals, so I'd like to imagine in death, the collective of the universe is like it's own grand thing that communicates to itself and validates it's own existence, or at least that there is some coherent way to experience the universe and not just be something that vanishes.

I think we are programmed to try to avoid it so we might aswell do our best to do this and enjoy the ride, and when death comes we won't know or sense anything. It will be the same as before we were born. Just nothing.
