Depends on the club and if you like the music they play ,it depends on the people you're with and if they're good people,usually people go there to get drunk with their friends and do drugs, it depends on the day you go and if it's some special occasion like Halloween

I don't know about most people. But for the target audience yeah. It's something that's supposed to bring people together in a common shared experience. Add in alcohol and it's the next best thing to a religious epiphany.
I don't drink and I only go a few times a year (most clubs don't play music I like, I like trance music, maybe D&B), but when I do it's to see a DJ I know I like. And women actually have asked me out a few times!
Listen to dance music from different DJs, find a few you like, and see when they're touring to your area. If you don't know where to start, track down a multi-genre music festival in your area.

if you're with friends and you're not sober it can be fun sometimes. i really don't like dancing or paying for overpriced drinks or having to yell over the music and i'm not gonna get laid by going to the club anyway so its not really my thing.

Whenever my friends have dragged me, I used to get one drink, head straight out to the smoking area and smoke all night. Usually one or two similar people or a friend I came with would do the same.
Now I'm trying to be a normie and got Jow Forums and more social, I still fucking hate them, but I only go to them if a girl wants me to, so I at least enjoy having them rub their ass on me trying to get me to dance.
Chicks enjoy them because they like dressing up, the top 40 music and mostly dancing in my experience.
I have been to one that played popular rock/metal music before and that was ok because it was kind of nostalgic teen music, but then it was filled with loads of alt trash with blue hair and gauges and shit which repulses me. But singing along to songs with a few friends was fun, so I can see how normal clubs with normie music is fun for normies

If you're a girl you get to dress up, dance, and get hit on by guys - even if you have a boyfriend, because it makes you feel special and appeases your ego. Maybe you also like the music, and you get social media filler to assure yourself that you're living life properly

Music is more important than having a chat. Body language becomes far more important which works because inhibitions in general are lowered, and people don't want to talk about anything deep, or work or shit like that. So you either get right up next to someone, or go to the smoking area to talk
