Most of your life will be spent working and it will all be for nothing. Hard work does not create success.
Most of your life will be spent working and it will all be for nothing. Hard work does not create success
>Hard work does not create success.
Barack Obama would like a word with you
i like my job and i like being at work because i have some worth and status there that isnt defined by my sexual (non-)success
Assuming that it will all be for nothing is pretty broad-stroked assumption. It's not outlandish to expect to see results from your labor.
If I didn't work I would eat shit
I work and I can afford cool stuff and I get to be around people which wouldn't be possible otherwise
for me, the first option is unacceptable
more like:
>most of your life will be spent in front of you computer with your hand on your dick and it will all be for nothing. The results of no work will be exactly the same as the results of hard work from your perspective.
>Hard work always creates success
Millions of chinese factory workers would like a word with you
>Millions of chinese factory workers would like a word with you
Their heart pulse would like a word with you
Success is a product of luck 1% of the time and nepotism 99% of the time. Working hard MIGHT get you more likely to be "lucky" tho.
>spent 2 years working
>have fewer assets than when I started
>traded 2 years of my life for absolutely nothing
wow such success great deal! explain why i shouldn't commit suicide
>growing in character
>absolutely nothing
I made a lot of personal progress, sure, but in terms of financials, I'm worse off than when I started, although at least I have something to put on a resume now.
How do you work 2 years and only get poorer?
The absolute truth
If you're working hard, it either means that you're doing whatever it is that you're trying to do less efficiently than is possible, or you're doing something that doesn't actually suit you or your desires (what one person considers to be work another might consider to be entertainment because of differences in preference). Either way, working hard is a sign that something is wrong somehow, and it makes sense to strive for the easiest solution instead of forcing yourself to believe that your personal suffering is inherently linked to the effectiveness of your actions in all cases.
What results do you see? 70% of Americans born into poverty will never make it out, no matter how hard they work. You have a better shot at success in Vietnam than you do in America.
tfw
feels bad man. it's like no matter how hard i study or work or what i try or what lengths i go to, i can't make it translate into much more money than my living expenses cost so i never get ahead. fuck this
That's the trick. When I had no job, no car, nowhere to go, I had way more money than I do now. I've actually considered quitting my job in order to save money.
You're right it won't. You will work your whole life in order to continue living. Stop being a whiney little bitch and accept the realities of this world. Nothing is free. You think people just sit around eating ake and drinking wine all day?
>You think people just sit around eating ake and drinking wine all day?
Yes, there is a certain class of people who do this all day and they more than likely haven't worked nearly as hard as you or me. Their riches more than likely were just handed to them.
No matter what you do you're gonna die and it will have been for nothing. I'd still rather work then give up and wait to die
I guess you missed the part about
>Stop being a whiney little bitch and accept the realities of this world.
The rich are who they are and we're who we are. Nothing has and will ever change that.
Go ahead, cheat, lie and steal to become rich. It's perfectly fine as long as you can live with yourself afterwards.
Yep, that's why I'll kms when I hit my late 20s (which is just around the corner by now)
