Feels more real. More intimate, you touch each other, nudge each other around, playfully hit each other, stuff like that. You can read each others bodily movements and stuff.

All of that sounds alien, like it's something that only happens in movies.

Because your whole life is based around anime and online shit that completely removed you from the world around you. Depersonalization is one hell of a shit ride that most of the people on this board rides.

I don't watch anime anymore, so you're wrong about that, but pretty correct about my whole life being online. I do nothing IRL and talk to no one, I just passively consume media on the internet.

Its like watching a film versus seeing it happen IRL. You're way more immersed, time goes faster and you have more fun.
Plus it has benefits. For example, I have no video games but my friend does, so if I wanna play vidya I hang out at his place.

How do you survive? Or are you underage?

You're on Jow Forums. How the fuck are you shocked that NEETs exist? Have you genuinely never heard of someone being a reclusive friendless NEET?

There is no difference other than physicality.

For example you can go for a walk with a "real" person while you can't effectively go for a walk in the same place with an "internet" person. They're the same thing though obviously.

If you've never met anyone without the internet before that is... odd. Most people meet new people every day. All you need to do is leave the house, go shopping or even just spy over the fence at your creepy neighbors. They'll probably say "hey look at this faggot masturbating in his backyard like some fuckin' ninja or some shit all cool like" then suddenly they'll equip their pirate eye patch and you'll notice they have a hook for a hand and wooden leg so on.

So it's totally the same thing.

No like, how do NEET's survive? Government? I was so scared of living with my mom after 18 I left at 16. So I don't understand how NEET's survive.

Thanks for answering. That sounds like it might be true, but I have no idea. The concept of hanging out with someone irl is unimaginable to me.
That must be why I tend to take internet friendships very seriously, whereas everyone just sees me as some random avatar they talk to online. I've had all of my online friendships end because of something along the lines of "we are nothing more than internet friends, and this is never going to go anywhere."
To be honest though, they would often deceive me and lead me on into thinking I meant way more to them than I actually did, so oh well. I realise now that online friendship is a myth.

Neetbux. Or in places like Japan usually the parents pay for the hikikomori lifestyle.

This makes me look at NEETs in an even more disgusting way. They really are selfish terrible creatures.

Then you are a fucking idiot. Peoples who don't hate their parents/parents don't hate them get to live at home for a few years while they finish school or work full time and stack mad money instead of paying 40% to rent and utilities and groceries and other stuff.

Have you ever "hung out" with fuckin tards online?

You're doing it right now. It's the same shit only you can't have your dick out like you probably do and multi-task masturbating to furry porn and my little pony and shit but if you try really hard you totally could do that if you found some weird fuckin' sickos just like you who wanna stare into each others eyes all soggy biscuit like.

The only difference is online you have to shut us the fuck up by not reading what we say or doing something else.

In real life you have to physically kick our balls and beat us over the head with a fire extinguisher until we gtfo but then you realize you were at our apartment so you say "sorry bro" and walk home but not before raiding all the mountain dew and doritos and shit.

I genuinely preferred online friends and unlike I found the experience to be more intimate. you only ever really have lengthy discussions w irl friends irl, but OL ones you talk to like all day from the comfort of your own home, and ultimately since you can chat all day you end up having more discussions with them anyway. my RL friendships ultimately last longer but the quality of the friendship is better OL

I loved my mother, hence why I didn't want to be a burden on her. She passed away just after I left, but I am successful and have no financial issues. Sucks to be a selfish cunt.

Okay. This society has always shunned me so I will exploit it as much as I can.

Online nobody needs to smell you.

Yeah. My only source of human interaction is through Jow Forums.
I don't even actually talk to people online, aside from this website. I haven't talked to another person in months.

You have more "lengthy discussions" with people IRL? That's weird. I would think you could have more in depth convos through text, since it's not as embarrassing as it would be face to face and you can type a lot.

You're reffing your own mom for passing on you right? And your dad is.. where?? It's not selfish to care for other people, if you have children you might understand

>with people IRL? That's weird. I would think you could have more in depth convos through text

It's easy to overlook the fact some people are extremely good at reading and reading comprehension while others suffer from conditions like dyslexia. It is estimated as many as 1/10 people can't read at more than 3rd grade level and that the average reading comprehension is somewhere like 5th grade. I'm repeating that from memory so likely to be off (9th grade? who knows) but you get the rough idea.

Those people have things a lot more easy in person than online. Voice chat is a pain in the ass, telephones are hard to understand too. In certain conditions you can get very high quality audio online but only in those rare conditions.

Most of the time an in-person conversation including real visual interaction and the ability to read facial expression and body language provides far more ease of communication.

Both have their prosand cons.

Online friends are indeed more intimate, per say. You can see each other, meet their friends as well, do things together. The world is your oyster.

However, online friends, because you are rarely *doing* anything, you can often have more discussions then you would with real friends. I enjoy having both.

Voice chatting isn't a "pain in the ass" at all, and I have almost never met someone online with dyslexia. If they did have it, it was a very mild form. What are you even on about?

>Online friends are indeed more intimate
Did you make a typo?

Yes, I did make a typo. Pardon me. I meant IRL friends.

I would also like to add, on that note, that a *good* IRL friend has your ass when an online friend simply can't. Need a ride from somewhere? He's got your back. Just had a fight with your parents/girlfriend. He'll be there.

Can you fuck off you normie shit?

Have you considered that they might not be online for that reason?

Voice chat and modern cell phones use a voice re-synthesis technique where the base waveform of the vocal chords is approximated and the "phonemes" of the vocal tract are deconvolved and filter coefficinets are passed through an approximation process called "linear predictive coding".

This is why vocals "go robotic" where bandwidth is limited.

See here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speech_coding

Trust me, modern GSM codecs and related suck donkey dick and you can get absolutely crystal clear vocals via other slightly higher bandwidth methods that do not use intermediary servers but instead use a direct connection. This is slightly difficult to set up today due to NATs and firewalls.

Ask normie questions, get normie responses. Simple as that.
