Fictional World Thread #2: Confluencia

Still didn't finish the pastebin edition

Pastebin link:

ITT we say our ideas for fictional fantasy worlds and combine them together into one big Jow Forums fantasy soup. Right now we have what's in the pastebin, but feel free to add more

...and maybe make a better pastebin etc

put the stupid title in the name instead of the title

Oh well. Please pick up from here, I'm going to go to sleep soon, hopefully someone keeps it bumped.

Bumping before sleep sleep

massive swords that are 8+ foot long (that's like 2.5 meters for euros etc) are used by certain people in the world because strength-enhancing armor made from certain plants exist. they hunt large monsters (like idk giant crocodiles and 30 foot tall (10 meter) bulls) with them.

...

What you drew, but we're currently in the hellscape

oh wait, that isn't fictional

There's a world of monsters girls who worship demons who try to conquer that plane!

Which plane? Be more specific.

bumping

Also, I think that along with all the mushrooms there should be some "fungus animals" to make it make slightly more sense, so here is a suggestion:
>Dunval
Dunval are small, odd creatures with slightly off-center symmetry; having 4 (occasionally 5 or 6) limbs, they tend to gallop about with the added weight on one side weighing then down. However, on their larger side, they have a particular "organ" which has somehow developed into an explosive mechanism, using finely dusted spores on the inside of its body to create combustion. They adore all sorts of burnt meats, and arrive after wildfires to take their pickings. Additionally, some Dunval grow to much larger sizes, even having multiple of these explosive organs.

It's getting pretty rough out there...

The canadians who kept it bumped religiously last time haven't seen the new thread it seems lol

Attached: 1524946250654.gif (500x281, 253K)

that's an interesting idea

how about we put different monstergirls in different planes?
Monstergirls we already have include
>Amazons
>Gran Fairies
>Leem Fairies
>Tylitans
>kordyans
>and some others i forgot about

That's a really good idea, it adds depth

Thanks, and I think that there will obv be some form of monster girls out there in any plane harboring them, so maybe we could spin it as some female cult or something that worships whatever. Also Kordyans are asexual just fyi Lol

Whoops seems my ID changed, I'm OP

Oh ok thanx

ayy lmao

I am still really busy this week, so I'm going to be able to only post in this thread in the next couple of hours

oh hey a pastebin
still missing some information though, but I can still fetch info from the archives
And can you also include my campaign works in the pastebin too?

Could you please add the fairies info?

based

ya might need to ask OP for that

Ok
Could you please add the info on the fairies

We need hellhounds

...

Sounds good, pit then in that demon realm. let's have slimes too

What type of slimes?

maybe gray, black, and yellow oozes that are toxic and corrosive

These

Attached: images.jpg (167x301, 7K)

nigger what

I'm just joking around senpai

Fug I forgot about dat filter

I mean
I'm fine with sentient and non sentient slimes and shit
hell, I'll even allow slime humanoids

The humanoid ones would probably be more like jelly to keep form

I will, I've just been out and needed to get it done. I'll update it as soon as I'm able, which will be after I get back home. You all are free to make a new one too if you like, considering how slow I can be.

also I'm OP just on mobile rn cus not at home

Alright, Canadian drawfag is back!

Sneak peak on the comic thing. Working on the first page, it starts off with a flashback.

New Creature: The Geoklept

>The Geoklept are perhaps one of the smartest beings in all of the planes. They all live in one massive colony keep within the earth's crust, where they keep their equally as massive library of information.
>Their entire colony is essentially just one library, info-crystals can be seen everywhere.
>Info-crystals are crystals which when pressed firmly display a hologram-like display of information, whether it be pictures or text. Whole encyclopedias can be written in one.
>The Geoklept are also adept magic users, and are known for their excellent use of spacial magic.
>They are quiet and seldom speak, and they like to keep their information to themselves. They love information so much that they are willing to steal it.
>It is said that during the golden age of the ancient civilization the Geoklept had shared information with them, and shared their magic techniques.
>Once you gain the trust of one, all of them will trust you. They are by far the most reliable people in the confluenceplane.

Attached: Geoklept.png (1016x904, 22K)

Glad to see it!

And I like this a lot, really cool.

forgot to mention this
>Despite their high-intelligence, they lack in creativity and ingenuity. They are simply the keepers of knowledge. It's up to somebody else to use it.

Thanks!

New plane idea: The Voidscape
>a sprawling underground chamber within the deepest depths of the planet
>darkness is so dense to the point where an average lightbulb would only grant 2 meters of vision in front of you
>horrifying beasts lurk within the void, each more terrible than the last (we're talking Lovecraft levels of spook)
>materials considered impossible on the surface flourish in the Voidscape, let alone the materials that are rare even for the Voidscape
As of now, only one civilization has braved the terrors of the deep: The Darkwalkers
>formless wads of a mysterious pitch black goo called Noirium
>can take any shape they want, as long as they contain enough Noirium to take their desired form
>nomadic, never settle in one spot for too long, as the beasts of the Voidscape are nigh immortal and incredibly dangerous
>true neutral, don't ever pick sides
>possess the only detailed knowledge of what lies in the Voidscape's shroud
I'll add detail to the Voidscape's ecosystem later, since I need to think about what would survive in an environment so inhospitable as the Voidscape's.

Oooooh that's really nice

You should make the ecosystem have most of the plants etc be equally as dangerous as the animals so that if you step into a clearing a pitfall of grass collapses and snaps shut, or a "tree" smashes down on people, or they launch dangerous projectiles or exude toxic gas etc

Bonus points if the Kordyans are there too

small bump

I honestly think the korydans should stay on the material plane
although you can place korydans in both planes too, that could work

I feel like they could infest multiple planes. Not like most of the habitable ones have their entire ecology exclusive - Hellscape shares most of its creatures, as does the Antiplane, etc. I think the Kordyans would be a good fit for all of the above, tbqh. Of course, I'm not the only say in this.

I feel like this could work. You can sort of imagine Korydans as invasive in a sense. Like they could just live anywhere, kind of thing (with the exception of some planes, like the magicplane, the antimagicplane, or the sedentaryplane).

I agree. I wonder which plane they and their fungal relatives originated from?

piratescape
Maybe the first variant of korydans were underwater coral reefs

I think that'd be a heck of a stretch but I don't mind them being there in some form or another

Maybe they could originate from a new plane; the Gigaplane. The gigaplane is a plane where everything is upsized to be ginormous (eg. blade of grass is the size of a small building now). Though the animals there have some differences asides from their size, as they look like but aren't quite the variants we're used to. Not all creatures are supersized, though; Korydans being one of them.

Sounds interesting, if a bit simple. If other people like it I won't complain.

sounds like a cool idea

It is kind of simple, yeah. I think I should have elaborated on how the animals looks different though; they look like alien-variants of their respective animals, so imagine a six-legged gigantic alien mouse.

Much better!

New flora discovered!
>This flowering plant is known as "Angel's Hand". This is in part due to the fact when it fully blooms, it resembles a hand.
>This plant is somehow tethered to all planes at once, which means when interacted with in one plane, the result can be seen in any other plane, in real-time.
>This plant is how the multiple planes of reality were discovered. When early peoples say it twitch, they tried to communicate back, and astonishingly, it worked.
>This plant helped establish peace between
sentient inter-planial species, which is where the "Angel" in its name comes from.
>When picked, dug up or destroyed however, all tethers to any other plane are severed.

Attached: Angel's Hand.png (444x528, 14K)

Can someone also add the planes descriptions too?

This sounds really good. What do you mean by "all tethers to any other plane are severed" though? Is it just for that one plant? If so, then bueno.

I'll update them tomorrow, I only had a few hours of sleep last night and will be sleeping soon. I'll try and keep working on the pastebin, though.

Yeah, it's just for that single plant.

mucho bueno

Can you imagkne some far-off continent covered in these plants and some maniac from one plane goes and just burns them all? I imagine destroying that many of them would harm the planar alignment, or something.

Sounds like an interesting concept. Honestly I would be upset if so many of those plants were just burned down, haha.

Sounds like the user who was writing some campaigns has a new idea to me

Also goodnight, I'll fix the pastebin tomorrow, going to sleep now.

'Night, OP. See you around.

I'm gonna list off some more ideas because I really don't want this thread to die, I feel like we just need some topics to kick us off.

The Mechanimals (If you have a better name please feel free to name them something else):
>Robotic vaguely-animal creatures that roam the land. They were built by the ancient humans, but have still survived to this day due to their self-replication feature.
>Most mechanimals are passive, and will not attack unless threatened.
>They come in many different forms, such as a flying model, an aquatic model, or a land model, which all branch off from there.
>Many people have tried to reverse-engineer them, but so far are only able to replicate some parts, such as the weaponry; of course these a prone to breaking though, as they cannot be replicated efficiently with the current technology.
>This gives the people some basic futuristic technology, which is mixed with their medieval culture.

More info on the Geoklept:

>The Geoklept were once violent fighters, but due to an almost-extinction were humbled. The people now thrive on knowledge and are no longer as strong as they used to be.
>The Geoklept are held together using spacial magic, which reacts with parts of their bodies making them glow a vibrant green.
>The modern Geoklept are quite brittle
>The Geoklept reproduce by building one out of stone, and using a spell only the Geoklepts know to bring it to life, though part of the original Geokelpt's consciousness is put into it.

Don’t know if this was suggested already, but what about a regular plane (from the same medieval time period) that is more technologically advanced but without magic

That would certainly be interesting. One problem I see though is that it was an already established rule that everything in existence is tethered to the magicscape.

>Through Stormy Seas and Icy Wastes Part 1: A campaign for level 1 characters
>The plot sets off in the small oceans of the surface world, where the players are escorting a ship to a small oasis through the harsh waters with a couple encounters along the way
>when the ship reaches and makes contact with its destination to a small island not mapped, the island suddenly disappears, and the areas of the waters where the island once was is turned into a portal (basically a small cyclone like hole on the surface of the water)to piratescape (Jonesa), and the ship continues it's course and sails into it
>the players later learn after entering Jonesa that the ship was carrying a relic intended to make new land and create new islands for a very big trade port city on a flying whale
>while the players finally make contact with the city, reach the city to give them the relic in exchange for handsome rewards, and explore the colony of the giant flying whale, a dark fish faced assassin suddenly appears while the relic is being given, killing the NPC captain of the ship and stealing the relic and disapeaering with only one trace, a map leading from the flying whale city to an ancient underwater cavern

>Through Stormy Seas and Icy Wastes Part 2: A campaign for level 1 characters (in this second part of the game the characters/players will have reached level 7)
>the players dive under the waters with a submarine like vessel and tread throughout the network of caverns in the bottom of the sea until they find an evil fishmen colony, using dark magic to corrupt the artifact into an object that could fuse the piratescape with it's antiplane, an icy wasteland barely habitable except for the fishmen, who are already making plans to build more colonies on that other plane and use the object's power to chaotically collide the icescape and Jonesa into nothing more than a dark and cold land ruled by the fishmen
>players must retrieve the object by entering a portal to the icescape inside the fishmen city going unnoticed and from there, enter an icy castle where they will find the manifested God and ruler of all fishmen
>the players, while trekking through the blizzards and dark ice, will be assisted by a stray ghostly ship vessel that can help them reach their destination to where the corrupted relic is

PARALLEL UNIVERSE
Jk, I didn’t read the full paste bin so yea woops

It's alright. I like your ideas though, so any and all (except shitposts) are appreciated!

Quick idea: So I just remembered the mindleeches, and thought that it would be interesting to see them incorporated in a campaign.

Well feel free to use it if want to

>Apocalypse Clock: A campaign for level 15 characters
>The plot is set in a small village, where the players, after being victorious over what campaign they already been through before, finally rest after a long journey. The village is near a part of the jungle where odd sightings of "metallic constructs" have been reported from
>one day there is a sudden massive panic all over the material plane, and all over the rest of the universe of Confluencia
>the mass panic is from news of a huge metal construct sprouting from the jungle near where the village is, spreading forth news that the clock on the Timescape plane has started moving a lot more faster than usual, and this means that the clock is now 6 months away from the clock striking in line with the smaller clock, blowing up into several tears in reality that will tear apart and obliterate all of the planes of confluencia
>After the players hear this news, the players are urged by several civilizations to search for this construct for more information on why the clock of Dia had suddenly started moving, and possibly info on how to buy more time for reality and move the clock backwards
>When the characters search through the jungle and dealing with mass chaos being spread, a cult uprises suddenly worshipping an unknown ancient snake like diety that has suddenly "awoken" from it's slumber
>when the players finally find the mechanical contruct that brought the news in the first place, they find it torn apart by some unknown gigantic creature. The corpse of the construct holds a magical key that can teleport the players into the Timescape plane
>Once the players are on Dia, they search for the construct's creator, whilst being attacked by the cult on this plane along with machines built by normal tinkerers that have suddenly become corrupted, speaking of some entity named "Cth'ss"
>Cth'ss is the snake diety that awoke, and is secretly wrapped around one of the gears of the clock of Dia, turning it by himself slowly

oof
that's all I got for now

Here's a drawing on the Mindleech. Quick in-depth analysis:
>The mindleech have two slimy tongues that are stabbed through the skin; the longer one runs down the spine and the short one attaches itself to the brain; the long hair-like structures attach to certain nerves and hijack them.

Attached: Mindleech.png (672x598, 11K)

Nice!

bump to keep thread alive

So are they writing a book, a game, or is it just some random project for shits and giggles

(D) All of thee above

based and redpilled

I've got a whole lot of ideas to throw around, but don't really know where to start. I guess I can begin with a creature or two -
>Brick-Brack
>Found in places where coal deposits meet the plains on the rare few fertile cogs of Dia, the Brick-Brack is a bizarre being of flesh and brass: the front end of the creature resembles a massive draft horse with the horns of a goat and two glazed eyes of glass and teeth of bronze, and in place of hindquarters is an intricate steam engine, constantly hissing smoke and steam as it turns a set of wheels in tandem with the beast's canter. Herbivorous as well as lithovorous, consuming the coal that powers their engines in opportune moments using their chisel-like metal jaws, it is nevertheless dangerous to approach these creatures not only because of their physical might, but also their ability to shoot flares of scalding hot steam from their nostrils, while their bites are strong enough to remove arms from foolish hunters and would-be tamers. Their wild and cantankerous natures have prevented any successful attempts of domestication by the mortal races, and local advice is to steer clear of their presence.

>Their whines contain the inflection of a steam whistle.

Attached: 1512408857846.jpg (434x255, 33K)

This reminds me of Horizon: Zero Dawn again but so long as we ensure they feel different and are maybe a bit rarer then I love the idea, especially with how it opens up the opportunity for more modern weaponry. I imagine they have weapons that are the equivalent of flintlocks - take a long time to reload and sometimes misfire - but launch much more dangerous ammo and are a cool chrome. Very cool.

I still love these guys.

I think that this is a cool idea even if it does contradict what the planar alignment is, but I don't necessarily see why we couldn't have some planes with less strong attachments to other planes - OR, we could just treat it like D&D still and say that if someone wanted to write up a world based on these musings and edit it slightly then it'd be fine. I think the idea is good!

Your campaigns are always great

oof ouch owie

I love this. I never thought about fauna in Dia but this is really, really cool.

shameless phonepost bump

based and phonepilled

And some more:
>The Vexeltron
>A race of sentient clockwork machines of tin and glass who vary considerably in physical appearance and size but tend towards being boxy and bulky in form which makes them readily distinctive to those experienced in the matter, the Vexeltrons were first encountered by the mortal races wandering the Cofluencesphere in small scouting parties, mistaken as the creation of an eccentric wizard until they were given the time to explain themselves. Though their true origin remains known only to their own, they are commonly believed to have originated from the Timescape, a place which they can be seldom found inhabiting and popular opinion is one of revulsion, viewing its makeup of many disembodied metallic parts in disdain much like a humanoid would view a plane largely made up of disembodied organs, normally only found wandering its surface for specific reasons. such as when relaying between the Cofluencesphere and their homeplane, the Confectionesphere, also known as Vexeltron after its main inhabitants.

Attached: Vexeltron.jpg (601x600, 419K)

>The Confectionesphere is a verdant realm whose defining feature is the presence and spontaneous generation of fried dough confections as a natural geological occurrence among jungles, plains, forests, rivers, mountains, and lakes, interwoven not-so seamlessly with the surrounding landscape and varying in size from a examples small enough to fit in the palm of one's hand to mountain-sized monstrous confections whose continued existence can only be explained through the quirky laws of the realm which make such visas possible: food never stales or rots in Vexeltron, allowing ancient pastries to remain edible for centuries and still maintain the same sugary glaze from which they were born from the earth with. Having no need to consume these strange, soft, colorful sweets, the Vexeltron have instead based their society and culture studding their nature and collecting them, viewing these tori as sacred and eagerly cataloguing the thousands of variations and notable occurrences across the globe. Whole schools of philosophy have been made on the nature of these glazed rolls, and whether one prefers sprinkled chocolate or maple bars is a serious enough matter to form nations and clans.

Attached: Planet Vexeltron.jpg (800x598, 227K)

>Vexeltron have bodies composed primarily of tin with inner components consisting of sturdier brass and spring-steel, thick glass forming extremities such as eyes or miscellaneous dials and meters on the chest of certain individuals. Their bodies are commonly painted vibrant colors in ways that evoke rivets and false joints. Body-type varies, ranging from cylindrical to angular, and hands can range to simple claws to mitten-like. Vexeltron vary massively in size; though most commonly encountered examples range from human-height to seven feet tall, in their native realm models can be as short as three feet to hulking giants as tall as the highest castles in the Cofluencesphere. Vexeltron all speak in monotone voices without inflection: an individual is lucky if it their glass mouths light up with their speech and for many its simply painted on, thus Vexeltron rely on arm gestures and body language in order to get their points across, often acting in exaggerated poses to make up for their speech deficiency.

Attached: Vexeltron Titan.jpg (592x600, 86K)

>Vexeltron are clockwork creatures, and store energy using a powerful internal spring which they must keep constantly wound lest they deactivate. The spring is powerful enough to hold enough energy to last roughly a month on the Cofluencesphere assuming none-too strenuous action, but must constantly be rewound, either through curious machines found natively on the Timescape and gradually imported onto Vexeltron, or by willing beings of other races who can generate energy through non-clockwork means. Vexeltrons winding other low on power Vexeltrons is a common occurrence, though without a primary source of energy it is at most an inefficient redistribution.

Attached: Unwound.jpg (598x600, 484K)

>What little magical aptitude the Vexeltron possess is centered around the manipulation of confections and pastries, shoving metal rods into them in order to control the objects in surreal displays that make sense only in the mechanical minds of Vexeltron, and giant flying doughnuts piloted by machines is a common sight in the more civilized areas of Vexeltron. Other races who have ventured into the Confectionesphere have attempted to emulate these feats with little success.

Attached: Flying Toruses.jpg (561x600, 170K)

>Proto Vexeltron
>Encountered guarding the inner mechanisms of the gargantuan clock of Dia, the Proto Vexeltron are so named for the fact that certain models of Vexeltron correspond to these machines as simplified caricatures with less points of articulation; aside from being machines from Dia, the two otherwise share little in common. The Proto Vexeltron mindless automatons constructed of steel and plexiglass, standing twelve to twenty feet in height and possessing the strength to pummel intruders onto the metal floors of their domain like a hammer pounding hot iron on an anvil. Though it is unclear whether their inner workings are clockwork like other constructs of the realm, they do not appear to be spring-powered like true Vexeltron, damaged units showing copper wires insulated with a strange, flexible material showering sparks when severed. A Proto Vexeltron will pursue invaders until they vacate the area, in which case they forget their presence and resume their patrol routine. Proto Vexeltrons aren't very clever machines, and show difficulty perceiving intruders not on the same Z axis as their standing.
>True Vexeltron view these beings in the way many mortals view the undead, and are not given any particular love by their supposed relatives, being treated as any other when trespassing.

God-tier I don't care if at any point this was a joke I want it in

this too

I based them off the works of Eric Joyner, whose perhaps my favorite modern artist.

More inhabitants for the Timesphere:
>Life-Ending Automaton
>A crude copper body of cylinders mounted on a set of meticulously sculpted legs suggesting a muscled, athletic physique, the Life-Ending Robot is a guardian of the Timesphere's central clocktower patrolling sensitive areas in a serious of highly audible clanks as it sprints a cross the perimeter seeking out bugs interfering with the system to cull. Upon engaging its target, a built-in scythe starts whirling at high speeds as the automaton lunges at invaders with the intent to shred them with an efficiency that betrays its clumsy appearance.

Attached: Life-Ender.png (418x582, 142K)

11000 years ago during the first moon war, a few thousand lunarians seeked refuge on Earth. During their stay, they built some shrines to worship their motherland and taught to the wisest men how to use sorcery

Attached: moon deity.jpg (240x345, 25K)

>Combustion Automaton
>Lighting the halls of not only the central clocktower but all of the Timesphere, Combustion-Automatons are walking braziers powered through an unknown energy source that apparently involves loud ticking, which along with the roar of their flames announces their presence. Largely passive, Combustion Automatons are content to either patrol set areas or stand in place in order to provide light to needed areas, which is well and good as they have a tendency to explode violently upon deactivation.

Attached: Combustion-Automaton.png (328x582, 110K)
