This is accurate but such a broad statement. There are so many more diverse ways to be a jackass than there are to be a decent person. I go out weekly to try and meet women, and talking to them sometimes feels like taking a test where one wrong answer results in a failing grade. The upshot is that you only need to ace the test once to get a qt gf and you can retake as many times as you like. But there's nobody to tell you how to study, and the correct answers sometimes change from girl to girl. Mainstream advice ranges from misleading to useless, with gems such as:

"just b urself" => there's no point in studying the test, because your educated guess is always the correct answer XD

"some1 4 every1" => you'll pass the test eventually, even if you never take the test, study for it, or even realize that it exists XDDD

The more you try to pass the test, the more you realize just how hard it is and just how bad of a person you really are.

Intelligence comes in many facades. This test analogy is kinda accurate, but you’re failing to see the upside. The test might be different from girl to girl, and it might be harder for hotter/higher value girls, but it’s mostly the same at the end of the day. It’s like if you get a copy of last year’s exam and you have a lazy prof, even though the questions on this year’s exam will have things changed here and there you’ll still have seen 90% of it before and the answers will come easier. Now imagine you do that class’s exam every year, it might be hard the first few times, but after four or five you’ll be getting As every time. You’ll be working on your PhD and rolling in to some shitty first year undergrad exam, the principles of the course will be so ingrained and understood that solving the problems is second nature, then when you walk out of the room and hear the plebs complaining about how they don’t understand and how hard it is all you can do is laugh in bewilderment and frustration because to you it’s genuinely easy and natural. If you train your social skills and woman skills, passing the test becomes nearly unconscious, as natural as breathing.

th-thanks user, I'll keep this in mind when I roll out tonight. I legit thought I was autistic for the longest time but now I'm starting to realize that I simply lack social experience. A childhood of video games and a close-knit group of nerdy friends isolated me from girls in high school, and I'm only now starting to dig myself out. My little brother has started going to therapy for social anxiety, and I'm worried that it's because I didn't set a good enough example. The problem with therapy is that it is another isolating, secretive activity that enforces the idea that you need help. If I can become competent enough to get some results with women, then maybe I can convince him to follow my path. I really don't think there's anything wrong with him, he's just overthinking it and not taking action like I did.
