In my experience there’s a healthy medium between being completely antisocial/unapproachable and becoming known as the creepy dude who orbits roasties at the gym, but you gotta have plausible deniability/be comfortable with rejection. Neutral things you could say to a guy (“need a spotter” “what do you listen to” etc) but then escalate once you’ve established contact to show that your intentions are romantic/sexual

Well at the bouldering gym it's a group thing and it's not creepy to watch people to learn and ask the qts like "wow that was pretty good can you teach me" or "wow your really strong how long you been doing this?"
At the normal gym it's a solo act, so you'd be walking up to people for no reason

I was never the biggest fan. Feeling pretty nostalgic because I just moved away from Glendale, and I don't expect to return probably forever.
