When I got the news I would need a waiver, my recruiter told me he was advised by MEPS not to do so because it was likely to be declined. So he never technically applied. Not sure if that's a thing or if he just bullshitted me to get out of applying for a waiver. I applied for Air Guard back then so maybe there were enough applicants he didn't want to bother with anyone less than perfect.
