Ive been learning for over 3years and still cant watch unsubbed
Can read some mangas but always get lost on longer sentences
Even if i do my learning dilligently i barely use the language at all
Ever since i started learning i lost motivation to read,play anything
I just pop up anki at 5am and do my decks like a zombie and then stare at the screen and do nothing all day
3years and i did maybe 1month worth of reading, fuck me sideways
Just gonna leave a tip
1hour of reading is worth more than doing whole day of anki, if you feel like your decks are starting to take more than 2-3hours you should maybe lay off vocab atleast and just use that time to read
You will be able to read some easy mangas without much use of dictionary in about 6months of learning so after that prioritize reading instead of anki,memrise etc

It deff works for learning kanjis, atleast for me, you need to start from radicals first
I tried learning them by practicing writing but it only worked for learning kana so rtk is the way for me
Vocab is better learned with some reading material, so i would do anki until you get some words in your head so you dont have to look up dictionary for easy shit
Words are way easier to learn if you have context and see how they are used
You can always make mining deck for some more obscure and hard ones
