>tfw antinatalist
>can no longer relate to 99.99% of humanity
Tfw antinatalist
why are you an?
>Patrick, what am I?
>Uhhhh, a bitter virgin who has deluded himself into thinking that no moral person should have children with someone they love all because he can't get any ass?
>No, I'm an antinatilist!
>What's the difference?
I can't refute any of this so fuck you.
So please tell me, what antinatalist literature have you studied? If the entire philosophy of antinatalism is as vapid and misguided as you are making out then presumably you'll have no trouble refuting the arguments put forth by its proponents? It should be a piece of cake right?
I'll wait for your response.
Not a virgin. Am an antinatalist. I refuse to cause unnecessary suffering.
Most antinatalists shouldn't be breeding anyways
>tfw Nihilist
>tfw Natalist
What am I?
Better Never to Have Been by Benatar is the only antinatalist text I have ever read. It is all that is needed.
Breeders shouldn't breed either.
this has to be the ultimate brainlet
WHAT ELSE ARE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO DO, OP? THEY'RE MOSTLY JUST DUMB IDIOTS WHAT ELSE WOULD THEY DO? IF YOU'RE WORRIED THAT THEY'LL USE TOO MANY RESOURCES, THAT PROBLEM WILL FIX ITSELF LOL. ALSO IT'S A SIMULATION IT'S LIKE BEING ANTI NEW CHARACTERS IN AN ONLINE GAME, JUST SILLY.
>tfw was an antinatalist since grade school
Now I'm less of one
Adulthood muddles the mind
Antinatalism is the only compassionate position to take. All counter arguments are copes. Consciousness is a nightmare.
Antinatalism is relatively
common. My super liberal sister is an antinatalist.
Especially fat man, if you see his post they're all in an effort to defend how manly he is for impregnating a sow.
tfw too intelligent, nobody understands me
You're neither imo, there's one where you believe in letting chaos/natural order be and basically it's just apathy.
kind of like this
en.wikipedia.org
>antinatalist
>arguments
lol
>unnecessary suffering
Do you believe in necessary suffering?
>David Benatar
I read that book. It's fucking awful. He doesn't actually justify his worldview. He assumes you're already on board and just sermonises to you. He makes no attempt to justify or rationalise utilitarianism, which his entire worldview rests upon. For example, could you imagine a text of Christian apologetics that took it for granted that every reader believed in the crucifixion and resurrection and the authority of the Catholic Church? That's what Benatar is for anti-natalists.
>consciousness is a nightmare
what should it be? Why does what it is matter? Why shouldn't I create as much life as possible? Should we also try to end animal life? So many questions.
This. Most whypipo in 2019 believe reproduction is distasteful. Niggers will inherit the Earth and reverse Flynn-effect us back into the stone-age thanks to you selfish, vapid bastards.
>Niggers will inherit the Earth and reverse Flynn-effect us back into the stone-age thanks to you selfish, vapid bastards.
the world is already fucked. we are already set to be a minority in this world by 2050 regardless of what happens.
if you want your children to grow up a white minority in a world full of shitskins then go have a bunch of fucking kids lmao
White people will be the new Jews late 21st century onwards. A smart, tribalistic and hated minority with a hardcore persecution complex. It'll be super-interesting. I probably won't reproduce because I'm a crazy shut-in and I hate people but I'd like to know that the torch of sanity will be carried on somewhere. We were a High Culture once and I think we fell before our time.
i agree with the anti natalists that this world is a chaotic, indifferent shithole that only really bears suffering in the end. i say my precious seed is too good for this world.
its about compassion really. the root of all suffering is desire, and my children will never want for anything because they'll never have to
>antinatalist
>arguments
>I don't agree
>Must mean there are no arguments
>He doesn't actually justify his worldview. He assumes you're already on board and just sermonises to you.
Kind of like every breeding retard I know.
>i agree with the anti natalists that this world is a chaotic, indifferent shithole that only really bears suffering in the end
Die a genetic and memetic dead-end then. Into the dustbin of history with you.
>i say my precious seed is too good for this world.
If this isn't a cope I don't know what is.
>its about compassion really. the root of all suffering is desire, and my children will never want for anything because they'll never have to
Suffering is also the root of all worthwhile growth and learning. Stop being a vagina. If I reproduce it's going to be suffering o'clock for my children all the fucking time. If you love someone you shouldn't will them anything less.
David Benatar is a coping hedonist. He doesn't think hard just like everyone else. I fucking hate him so much. Everyone who likes his work should unironically eat a fucking bullet.
>I learned a new word today
>I'm going to make a thread about it
>Die a genetic and memetic dead-end then. Into the dustbin of history with you.
lol, listen to the shit you say as if it isn't all riddled with cope. this world is on borrowed time, the sun is going to die eventually and effectively rendering all of the millions of years of work being done on this planet wasted. ancient lineages wiped away. this whole planet is going into the dustbin and there wont even be anyone to remember.
>If I reproduce it's going to be suffering o'clock for my children all the fucking time.
congrats, you're a shitty person and you dont care
>"arguments lol"
Well there it is lads. Antinatalism entirely deconstructed before our very eyes. Excellent rebuttal dude.
Also quite amusing you refer to antinatalists as selfish when it is quite literally probably the most selfless worldview a person can conveivably adopt. But whatever makes you feel better. I mean it's not like you want to needlessly pepetuate existence and therefore all suffering of all sentient creatures simply because "I like being alive dood". I mean that's not selfish at all. Definitely not.
If you cared and you sincerely believed this shit you'd be devoting your life to ending as much life as possible. What have you done for the cause lately? You should start supporting the Chinese fishing industry or something. They'll probably make human life on earth nonviable faster than anything else.
>says someone is coping
>but i dont wanna die and be forgotten with history man!
lmfao natalists
just shut the fuck up. i'm stuck here on this planet because of retards like you. i dont have to do a fucking thing because breeder retards are the number one reason this planet is dying. yeah lets just make more mouths to feed even though like half the planet is starving to death. lets just keep creating more lives while the average quality of life on this planet gets lower every year
I haven't even read it, I've read peoples thoughts on it, peoples personal beliefs on the philosophy and people who've disagreed's opinions.
While the believers can come off as whiny, it's because they themselves are most likely suffering, and can witness an over abundant presence of suffering in the world.
While all I see out of breeders is "It's my right :^)" and "Everyone else does it"
You can't argue against the anti suffering proponent of antinatalism so you frame it as a good thing. While suffering can be good initially, many people get more than whats good for them, and it ruins them.
You're arguing against people that just want to leave well enough alone, and people who want to create new consciousnesses to be worker drones, soliders, and leeches. And frame it under "I have a fondness for it" because they are already alive and suckle on their survival instinct like heroin as if it's all that matters.
>amusing
Nobody who uses this word isn't a faggot.
>probably the most selfless worldview a person can conveivably adopt
I don't understand how at all. Most parents, even shit ones (virtually all who don't abandon their families) devote most of their energy and efforts from the birth of their first children onwards to something other than themselves. Single people can do this but I'm inclined to doubt that most ever have or will. There's no sense of skin in the game.
>needlessly pepetuate existence
I want to perpetuate existence because I like certain things and ideas and want to keep them floating around. You might not consider that a good need but it's a need.
>suffering
Again, flatly dismissing suffering as bad is stupid and shallow. Kill yourself if nothing can make suffering worth it. Kill your entire extended family too, even if they don't understand you you're doing them a favour. They just aren't smart enough to realise.
>I don't wanna die
I want to die quite badly.
>and be forgotten
Everyone will be eventually. It's about things more important than me.
>i'm stuck here on this planet because of retards like you
and there'll always be more of us. Nothing can stop the human drive to live and grow.
>i dont have to do a fucking thing because breeder retards are the number one reason this planet is dying
I'm a breeder retard and I'm also the most radical environmentalist I know.
>yeah lets just make more mouths to feed even though like half the planet is starving to death
The other half is obese. The problem is distribution, short-sighted resource exploitation and a lack of discipline. Not raw numbers.
> lets just keep creating more lives while the average quality of life on this planet gets lower every year
Gloomy cunts like you are the reason the planet is miserable. Not a lack of food.
>Nobody who uses this word isn't a faggot.
Amusing response desu.
Suffering *is* a good thing and I'll fight anybody who disagrees. Modernity has driven human comfort and fear of death to extraordinarily unnatural places. We don't know how to live or die with dignity anymore.
>You're arguing against people that just want to leave well enough alone
If that were true this thread wouldn't exist. David Benatar's books wouldn't exist. etc.
>people who want to create new consciousnesses to be worker drones, soliders, and leeches
That might be how George Soros sees human reproduction but I'm not George Soros.
>because they are already alive and suckle on their survival instinct like heroin as if it's all that matters.
A lot of people are probably like that, just like a lot of anti-natalists are "if life good why bad thing happen?" tier babymen. I think that a human tendency to reach a conclusion intuitively can just as readily be taken as proof that it's right as that it's wrong.
>and there'll always be more of us. Nothing can stop the human drive to live and grow.
yeah until the heat death of the universe dabs on you, retard
>I'm a breeder retard and I'm also the most radical environmentalist I know.
hmm maybe you should read this
owlcation.com
>The other half is obese. The problem is distribution, short-sighted resource exploitation and a lack of discipline. Not raw numbers.
and guess what? as long as there are stupid, NPC breeders to be put to work and exploited, the system will remain corrupt perpetually because humans are literal resources to these people
>Gloomy cunts like you are the reason the planet is miserable. Not a lack of food.
how's this for gloomy? you and every generation that comes after you is going to die. eventually this earth wont be able to sustain life and that means all of the suffering was for nothing
>It's about things more important than me.
virtue signalling retard
>heat death of the universe
If we don't hit the apocalypse before that it's so far away that I figure we'll be in other universes and flipping across time and space by the time it happens. Might sound nuts, but I figure it's about as nuts as rationalising current behaviour based on speculations on what'll happen billions of years in the future.
>read this
>pop-sci article on how high population *could* lead to a bunch of things which will lower our population
This isn't gnarly at all. Look up what I mentioned about China and the fish. *That* is how you make an environmentalist shit himself.
>and guess what? as long as there are stupid, NPC breeders to be put to work and exploited, the system will remain corrupt perpetually because humans are literal resources to these people
Well I figured the game out more or less. Guess I'd better reproduce as much as possible and homeschool my children to increase the number of smart people in the world by as much as is possible.
>you and every generation that comes after you is going to die
I've realised this.
>eventually this earth wont be able to sustain life and that means all of the suffering was for nothing
I don't see how the latter follows from the former.
nobody believes in nothing beyond survival. I'm just honest and self-aware.
>I'll fight anybody who disagrees.
That's because you can't prove your retarded position, and have to argue for it.
>Modernity has driven human comfort and fear of death to extraordinarily unnatural places.
From cruel common place to questionably ethical?
>We don't know how to live or die with dignity anymore.
Dying with dignity is usually a cope so you feel like you've died for something that matters, great way to get thousands of brainwashed boys to feel like they died for a great cause.
>If that were true this thread wouldn't exist.
Life is not "well enough" life is "well I was forced into this shit, now i'm biased towards it"
> but I'm not George Soros.
>If I reproduce it's going to be suffering o'clock for my children all the fucking time. If you love someone you shouldn't will them anything less.
> just like a lot of anti-natalists are "if life good why bad thing happen?"
But that's a right assumption to make, that means life's not in general "good"
Yea it's just an excuse.
>I'm just honest and self-aware.
following the norm and defending it with fervor*
>I figure we'll be in other universes and flipping across time and space by the time it happens.
this is your problem, naive idealism. like a child. children shouldnt have children. your ignorance is will be the reason your kids suffer
>This isn't gnarly at all.
it would be if you had any sense of morality at all. i wouldnt expect any less from a breeder
>Guess I'd better reproduce as much as possible and homeschool my children to increase the number of smart people in the world by as much as is possible.
too bad it doesn't matter how smart you are, the only thing that matters is how many millions of dollars you have and how much influence you have.
unless you plan on having your children live in off grid cabins then they will be oppressed by the man just like the rest of us. blind idealism can't change that fact and shoving it down their throats like you're shoving it down the throats of everyone in this thread isnt going to make them happy
You don't understand how being immensely concerned with the suffering of all human beings, past, present and future, and possibly by extension all sentient animals as well, is selfless? I mean I don't know what I can possibly say to convince you otherwise then. Is it not obvious that is incredibly selfless?
And it's astonishing that you don't think suffering is bad in a broad sense.
Perhaps you should let me torture and murder all your loved ones infront of your very eyes, then do the same to you. Whilst this is happening I can ask you periodically whether or not you think or feel what you are experiencing is 'bad'. I wonder what your answer will be. Perhaps you'll tell me it's not bad. Perhaps you'll tell me it's necessary and just a part of life. Perhaps you'll call me shallow, vapid and unintelligent for thinking otherwise. Perhaps. But somehow I doubt it.
>That's because you can't prove your retarded position, and have to argue for it.
Being a fideist I more or less agree. Everyone thinks everyone else is a retard because of super-rational feelings holding the reins of our rational and conscious minds so conflict has to happen sooner or later. Whichever side wins can claim supernatural authority afterwards.
>From cruel common place to questionably ethical?
Suffering will always be common. Thinking too hard about it will just make us feeble.
>Dying with dignity is usually a cope so you feel like you've died for something that matters
I meant more in the sense of not fleeing death above all other priorities than actively throwing your life away. Belief in higher causes has been the cause of some of the most futile events in human history, but it was also the driving force behind *all* of the worthwhile ones.
>life's not in general "good"
not in the sense of being enjoyable/pleasurable. No, not at all.
>following the norm and defending it with fervor*
I also deny the holocaust if that gets me any anti-normal points.
>everyone assuming that life sucks, natalists and antinatialists
You all need Jesus
>
>this is your problem, naive idealism. like a child
seriously cunt are you swirling around a tulip glass full of soda while you type out these posts?
>it would be if you had any sense of morality at all
Everyone ITT agrees that everyone's dying eventually. Where's the problem?
>too bad it doesn't matter how smart you are, the only thing that matters is how many millions of dollars you have and how much influence you have.
Fuck how underage are you? How many millions did Saul Alinsky have?
>unless you plan on having your children live in off grid cabins then they will be oppressed by the man just like the rest of us
Definitely not entirely integrated into the globo-capital managerial gayplex but probably not in cabins either. Family is the formation in which human beings can resist anything. It's a small and perfectly containable island of sovereignty. That's why the powers that be fucking hate it and are doing all they can to undermine it.
>blind idealism can't change that fact and shoving it down their throats like you're shoving it down the throats of everyone in this thread isnt going to make them happy
lmao, fuck happiness. Who's the child ITT? I'd rather they grow up human.
>Everyone ITT agrees that everyone's dying eventually. Where's the problem?
the part that comes before that.
>How many millions did some literal who have?
no idea, not surprisingly
>Definitely not entirely integrated into the globo-capital managerial gayplex but probably not in cabins either
give it another century and you wont have a choice anymore.
>lmao, fuck happiness. Who's the child ITT? I'd rather they grow up being exploited as resources
FTFY
>Suffering will always be common.
As long as we, and other animals exist.
>Thinking too hard about it will just make us feeble.
No, that would make us intelligent and questioning, not by the number traditionalist.
> but it was also the driving force behind *all* of the worthwhile ones.
What were the worthwhile ones, and i'd ask if they somehow lessened suffering and if that was their goal.
>not in the sense of being enjoyable/pleasurable. No, not at all.
Then we agree there, what other senses is it good in?
>I also deny the holocaust if that gets me any anti-normal points.
Not really, that's pretty normal now, I think it happened but most the brutality of it like starvation was caused by fire bombing supply lines imo.
God takes away all suffering.
>You don't understand how being immensely concerned with the suffering of all human beings, past, present and future, and possibly by extension all sentient animals as well, is selfless?
Yes. Not at all. If you were to do something about it that might be a start. If you were to live for the cause we'd really have something to work with. As it is it sounds like a rationalisation of apathy and a failure to exert your will over your own personal surroundings.
>And it's astonishing that you don't think suffering is bad in a broad sense.
Plenty of people have taken up more or less the same position. Not popular in our time but it still has adherents here and there. Ivan Illich let a tumour go untreated until it killed him just to prove the point.
>Perhaps you should let me torture and murder all your loved ones infront of your very eyes, then do the same to you.
You could try, and I'd try to stop you. Whoever survives would probably grow from the experience. Have you ever seen the Saw movies?
>Whilst this is happening I can ask you periodically whether or not you think or feel what you are experiencing is 'bad'.
>whilst
In my experience people whomst'd've used this word have tended to be faggots. Back on point, I'd consider you killing my family to be a bad thing because it's a horrible waste of life and nothing worthwhile would come of it.
>Perhaps you'll tell me it's necessary and just a part of life
Anything that actually is happening right in front of you is a part of life. Trying to deny this would be beyond stupid. And necessary in the sense that you can't un-cut a throat.
Lastly, fucking hell did you write 'perhaps' enough times you nerd?
And puts it on earth
>it's a horrible waste of life and nothing worthwhile would come of it.
lmao you just described life itself
Antinatalism is a philosophy for losers.
It is also an everything or nothing way of seeing things, that's why its bullshit.
Everyone who finds it appealing is a weak minded pussy afraid of a bit of hardship.
Im antinatalist myself, the difference between me and you is that you find yourself edgy and cool when I admit im a loser in life.
>If you were to do something about it that might be a start.
You're asking him to empty the ocean with a bucket, it makes no noticeable difference with a low percentage of humans working towards the goal. Instead he'd lead a life of suffering, trying to end suffering. You can't blame him for looking for a final solution.
Man chooses suffering, but through God, everything is possible.
i'm antinatalist because i like having money and no obligations
>wanting to forgo certain avoidable hardships makes you a pussy
lmao okay
I would say I'm an antinatalist only when it comes to myself due to my own subhuman genetics.
>manlet
>dicklet
And so on.
Yeah it's a double standard but it's self inflicted so I have only myself to blame.
>Saul Alinsky
>literal who
brainlet detected. Alinsky is practically the godfather or modern american politics.
>As long as we, and other animals exist.
lmao who gives a fuck about animals. What are you going to do? Steal nukes and wipe out all known sentient life?
>No, that would make us intelligent and questioning, not by the number traditionalist.
You can't think your way out of suffering, pondering it won't do you any good. Why don't you question whether gravity actually exists or if things holding to the ground is just a consistent tendency for the rest of your life? It'd do about as much good.
>What were the worthwhile ones, and i'd ask if they somehow lessened suffering and if that was their goal.
Depends who you ask. Events that come to my mind are Rome's triumph over Carthage, Christianity's patient endurance under Rome, the medieval resurrection of western europe and the rise of the High Culture of Roman Christendom. This didn't reduce suffering, that was never the point. The point was to make something that was a flat badness, suffering, and turn it into a source of supernatural goodness, which is the feeling of glory and exaltation that grips your guts and balls that you only get from achieving a win for a cause that's beyond reason.
>Then we agree there, what other senses is it good in?
The super-rational ones.
based
Pure destruction
Im an antinatalist but I cant wait to foster adopt
I'm antinatalist too, but mainly for cynical and, I guess, petty reasons.
I have tried to rationalize my beliefs many, many times, but I know it all comes down to my fundamental misanthropy
>Alinsky is practically the godfather or modern american politics.
that's cool. he's still a literal who that nobody except virtue signalling fags on Jow Forums care about
Why dont you just kill yourself?
retard
Why don't you come and do it yourself?
Are you planning on raising this hypothetical child with someone(s) or by yourself?
Just curious.
Give me your adress
If he actually were looking for a final solution he could at least claim to be principled. Until I see an anti-natalist trying to hijack a nuclear arsenal I'll continue to consider it a philosophy for losers, idiots and pussies.
Every cause is bucket v ocean. Don't be a bitch about it.
And Barrack Obama. And Hillary Clinton. And every American leftist smart enough to be worth more to the party than a vote.
this. just admit it instead of being a self-indulgent fart-huffer pseud like DUDE BASED OLD TIMEY R9K PHILOSOPHER I READ THE WIKIPEDIA PAGE OF LMAO
2906 Mccampbell avenue nashville TN 37214
Im coming for you
Be prepared
>And Barrack Obama. And Hillary Clinton. And every American leftist smart enough to be worth more to the party than a vote.
so no one. got it.
That said, I really am incapable of understanding why it seems every goddamn discussion on this nightmarish board cannot be conducted with a bit of civilization and rational calmness.
Why are we always so eager to fling copious amounts of shit at each other every time something controversial is said?
>Until I see an anti-natalist trying to hijack a nuclear arsenal I'll continue to consider it a philosophy for losers, idiots and pussies.
i guess it's a good thing then that your opinion means about as much to an anti natalist as does the idea of having children
>lmao who gives a fuck about animals.
People with a brain, since we are animals.
>Steal nukes and wipe out all known sentient life?
I would If I could, what are you going to do, have a child so it can spend it's time arguing on Jow Forums?
>You can't think your way out of suffering
I didn't imply anything of the sort, you can make cost / reward analysis.
>pondering it won't do you any good.
Will ignoring it? I don't get your point.
>Why don't you question whether gravity actually exists or if things holding to the ground is just a consistent tendency for the rest of your life? It'd do about as much good.
Not really.
>supernatural goodness
>The super-rational ones.
>based
Oh your retarded, I get it.
Almost everyone alive today would choose to be born rather than not born. That means on the net, the pleasures of being alive outweigh the pains.
But there are effects outside the children being born.
A low replacement rate implies a higher tax burden on the younger generations to support the retired.
And if you're from a developed nation, you're doing the world a disservice by not birthing higher IQ offspring that would benefit the rest of humanity.
If we could ever conquer global warming, for example, we'd need smart people who can figure out how to master shit like nuclear fission safely.
So basically stop being a selfish cunt and fuck already.
If you can.
You're just depressed more often than others, so you see it that way.
>Almost everyone alive today would choose to be born rather than not born. That means on the net, the pleasures of being alive outweigh the pains.
most people are fucking brainless NPC's who cant even think for themselves so this isnt a valid point
>So basically stop being a selfish cunt and fuck already.
>stop being selfish and help me support this unsustainable system that me and all the other retarded breeders created
yeah nah
again, fideist. I think it's all got to come down to violence sooner or later. Not necessary with you guys since you just self-pwn if we wait long enough. If I were to end up running a country I'd throw you all off cliffs for the sake of cultural health but I don't so you're good.
>we are animals
bark bark hfsifsdiuldgiuleknj
>I would steal nukes if I could
Based.
>what are you going to do, have a child so it can spend it's time arguing on Jow Forums?
I would ideally like to become the next Hutton Gibson and produce 12+ ultra-racist, conspiracy-minded turbo-breeders.
>you can make cost/reward analysis
you can't make an objective one so just do whatever the fuck you want and don't think about existential implications. If what you want is food and cumming you're a shallow person.
>will ignoring it
if it lets you focus on something better
>super-rational ideas
>retarded
okay cuck, go read Steven Pinker or something.
This is well. Got to fight the reverse Flynn-effect. But if you're an anti-natalist you're spiritually weak and probably also a brainlet so go take an express ticket into hell via cliff, rope or bullet for the good of humanity.
>If I were to end up running a country I'd throw you all off cliffs for the sake of cultural health but I don't so you're good.
in a perfect world i wouldnt have been born in the first place but here we are stuck in reality
Firstly, even if my adoption of antinatalism is in part or entirely motivated on some subconscious level by misanthropy, or dissatisfaction with life, or whatever else, that does not necessarily invalidate the position. It is still entirely possible for it to be a logically sound, coherent, morally justified position to adopt. You utter brainlet. I'm getting tired of having to explain this to you plebs. Why can't you just address the actual fucking position and the arguments for it.
Secondly I'm not some guy that just read Schopenhauers wiki page. I've been an antinatalist for 12 years. I own all his books and numerous others. Not that it particularly means anything. I'm just pointing out how wrong you are. And again I've had to do this numerous times in discussions like this, because people like you want to shoot me down without actually addressing the fucking position. I wonder why that is?
Depression is less likely the more intelligent you are. You aren't sad because you're some super woke nihilist who knows the absurdity of life all too well.
Antinatalists claim to want to help people by preventing harm.
I explained how creating babies is a net good for the babies.
I explained how not having kids would harm people who already exist.
So how do you respond? Aren't you just being selfish if not having kids doesn't actually produce any good and only causes harm?
>You aren't sad because you're some super woke nihilist who knows the absurdity of life all too well.
oh i get it, i'm sad because im stupid right? wow you sure got me
>Aren't you just being selfish if not having kids doesn't actually produce any good and only causes harm?
all you are doing is perpetuating a doomed system. the only thing you can avoid is the part that comes before the doom, which is the suffering
you miss the forest for the trees.
youtube.com
>or whatever else
A loser, everyone is calling you a loser. You're so shit that calling yourself a misanthrope is flattery.
>that does not necessarily invalidate the position
Doesn't, I don't really think any position is that valid. I just assume the worst about why everyone thinks everything and if they come out looking like a piece of shit I call them a stupid faggot and wish them the worst.
> I've been an antinatalist for 12 years
Imagine sucking this hard at life.
>Owning all of Schopenhauer's books
Based. Do you also assault old women, get rejected by young women and vent your incel rage via long rants at your dog?
>you miss the forest for the trees.
I don't think you're using that expression right.
>a doomed system
Do you think that anything that won't last forever is pointless? This sounds like a fear of death talking.
>the only thing you can avoid is the part that comes before the doom, which is the suffering
I could avoid shoving a toothpick down my dickhole. Checkmate atheists.
How do you deal with Aquinas' claim that evil doesn't exist and that what we recognise as evil is simply the absence of good? I'll give you a minute to bring up Aquinas' wikipedia page and familiarise yourself with his thought.
Yes with a wife
Im lonely but not bitter
>Almost everyone alive today would choose to be born rather than not born. That means on the net, the pleasures of being alive outweigh the pains.
My god there is so much wrong with this it's almost unbelievable.
There is absolutely no way of you knowing this. None. You are literally just pulling this supposed fact directly from your ass.
On a side note I should add that it is not just about people alive today, but also potential people in the future. In addition to that antinatalism can encompass other sentient animals by extension.
Furthermore, even if this was the case, it is worth noting that people have a demonstrable positive bias when it comes to analysing how enjoyable their lives are. In addition to that, we are creatures that have evolved to survive. We have built in psychological mechanisms and such to drive us to suvive, to make us want to survive. It would not be surprising to find that people feel they want to exist, in spite of how much suffering they may or may not be experiencing.
Finally you literally conflated people's desire to exist with the total amount of pleasure and pain in the world. This is utterly ridiculous. I don't even know what to say. It's just beyond stupid and plain wrong. Try again.
>I don't think you're using that expression right.
nope, you just still lack the perspective you need to understand what i'm saying
>Do you think that anything that won't last forever is pointless? This sounds like a fear of death talking.
i don't fear death. death however is painful and uncomfortable from the perspective of a living thing that can't reference what it's like to not be alive
it's the same fear that drives you to have as many little brats as you can, because your massive ego can't handle the idea of at least one part of you not continuing to exist and that's why you feel you need to reproduce
A lot of people should not reproduce (me included), so not reproducing isn't always selfish.
Aquinas. Have you ever addressed his thought in your life? As a 12 year anti-natalist it'd be pretty fucking dumb of you not to have addressed the most entry-level life-affirming philosophy in existence.
>How do you deal with Aquinas' claim that evil doesn't exist and that what we recognise as evil is simply the absence of good? I'll give you a minute to bring up Aquinas' wikipedia page and familiarise yourself with his thought.
its pretty easy to deal with when the "absense of good" gets exponentially larger and larger with no end in sight every single day.
it really doesnt do much to suit your argument, it definitely doesnt make me want to have kids
Yeah I'm just not going to respond to you anymore. 90% of your 'rebuttals' to my points throughout the discussion have been nothing more than childish insults. Then you consistently cherry pick quotes from my posts and take them out of context in order to twist what I said so you can respond however you like, or make me look bad. Address the entire post or not at all.

Size doesn't matter. Even if there were no good to be seen the principle could still stand.

Okay fag. You write like a pretentious 12 year old and think like one too. You've made shit-all in the way of meaningful points and I refuse to believe that you actually read books that don't have pictures in them.
>Size doesn't matter.
actually it does matter. there is only so much planet for us to live on. 1% of the worlds population currently amasses 50% of the worlds wealth and it's going to get worse.
>Even if there were no good to be seen the principle could still stand.
why would i want to have children in a world where "no good can be seen" like can you just use your brain for one minute
>Almost everyone alive today would choose to be born rather than not born.
No shit retard, a species wouldn't survive if their members saw no point in living
That being said, these people can't think past their emotions and evolutionary programming
>doesn't want children right now but has a philisophy to back it up
What are you twelve. I used to not want children at twelve
>not taking responsibility
>living like a child for life
>selfless
kek
>le programming meme
Ironically you're not thinking past your immediate instincts that make you avoid the difficulty of raising a family
Why don't antinatalists kill themselves? By continuing to be alive they create unnecessary suffering for themselves.
>if you want your children to grow up a white minority in a world full of shitskins then go have a bunch of fucking kids lmao
But the reason whites are becoming a global minority is because they aren't reproducing enough.
Killing yourself is harder than "lol just do it bro"
