Don't have to imagine it because I do own a car

Post cars

I own a boring econobox. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I fell for the miata meme. Actually ended up being a pretty fun and economical car.

This is my machine.

I own a '17 Impreza hatchback, and it's parked in the driveway of the house I bought last year :)

feels like im sinking a bunch of money for something i barely use

I am saving up for an nb mx5 as a first car. It just seems utterly perfect. Cheap. Easy to maintain. Market brimming with parts. A good looker. Lightweight. Curves around corners like curving your hands down a naked lady's hips.

Is it fast? No, but you're retarded if you want to own a fast car in England.

Attached: IMG_20190123_081044.jpg (1557x1080, 858K)

I just bought my own car very recently.

I need it for work.

I drive about 100 miles each way and this adds up to about 400-500 miles each week.

I do not like driving and I wish I could walk to work.

I am generally content with my choice of car however.

reminder that no one cares about your material possessions.

Mine cost a whopping $900. It does all the things a car is supposed to do but man is it a shitbox.

>cheap, easy, etc.
You are correct. Stock they are one of the slowest cars you can buy at least here in burgerland.
I wouldn't say mine is fast but it's quick and still gets 30mpg

Attached: 088_n.jpg (1229x922, 478K)

I own a little Nissan Micra bubblebox.
It was a Cat D and I bought it for 150 Bongland pounds and put some new doors and panels on it. I wish the blowers would work it is so cold on a morning

Attached: Electronics Failure.jpg (600x450, 51K)

The 1.4L? That's the same thing as in my mom's Nissan Note. Thing takes like solid 15 minutes to start blowing warm.
The NA/NB Miata's mileage is horrendous. 10 L/100km city? That's appalling. I never understood why burgers and rich boomers keep saying it's economical, its economy sucks dick.

This is now a Twingo thread

1.2 fortunately for my insurance but unfortunate for the BMWs behind me on hills
How are the newer Nissans?

Attached: 1517267892884.gif (560x550, 1.07M)

Fuel economy is only one part of the story. Older Miatas are cheap to keep running because very little breaks down and parts are cheap and plentiful. And compared to what most murricans drive, the NA/NB isn't half bad for fuel economy. The ND is insane tho. I routinely average over 40mpg on highway trips, which for a fun sports car is great.
A twongi bodykit for a miat would be godtier

Attached: mazdault twiata.jpg (800x461, 201K)

they should be legal for import into the US so WHERE THE DINGUS ARE THEY

i had one and then some retarded cunt drove into the back of me going 70mph at a stoplight

you are WRONG
WRONG SIR

What's a good car that might attract girls or at least not turn them off? I'm shopping for my first car

>attract girls
please don't try to do this

>at least not turn them off
a respectable sedan made no earlier than 2009, there should be plenty of nice used ones that will be to your liking

That's such a fucking nice looking car
Tell us the story of how you got it
Also
Post more pics

that would be nice.

I've been looking for work for 2 years just so I can afford a 1500-2000 dollar used car off of facebook or letgo or offerup.

It's my current goal to get my first car right now.

>attract females

Unless you're driving something that cost you 60k at least right off the lot that you paid for in cash, don't do this to yourself user.

>not turn them off

You're a fucking 16 year old boy probably, but i'll give you a serious answer. Literally any transportation that is your own. Bitches LOVE free rides.

I got a 2015 Chrysler 200. Love it to bits.

>parents are rich asshole conservatives
>could buy me a car if they wanted to
>instead I'm forced to bike 10 miles to work to save up for a car
THERE IS NO GOD

Where do you even begin with learning to drive? My parents aren't exactly helping, I'm 22 btw

>My parents aren't exactly helping
What do you mean? Do they refuse to teach you?
I learned from my dad.

Jealous of the 1.8 turbo setup. I'd love to either turbo mine or K swap it if I ever get my life together and buy a house.

All my cars and bikes I've owned have always had stupid names. My Miata is the Strawberry Steamship.

Got a sibling you could bother on weekends? I assume no friends either, otherwise try this. Otherwise, get your parents to do it somehow, such as using my tried and true attention getters-

>dad i'll buy you a twelve pack if you take me driving
>mom i'll buy you cigs/[item of your choice] if you take me driving

Basically anything that bribes them should work. If you're in a more rural area finding a spot/back roads to drive around in shouldn't be difficult. Have no tips for city driving, you're on your own there if that's the case man. Otherwise, just start slow and be prepared to get a lot of shit especially if your parents are bad teachers(I assume they are,) or impatient. Didn't get my license 'til I was almost 24 and am still terrified of driving well into my 30s. My test evaluator called me 'an accident waiting to happen' so i drive as little as possible, preferably at night when nobody else is around, and stick to sideroads with less traffic.

My mum can't drive and my dad won't teach me, he's a horrible teacher anyway and just gets angry when I'm not good at something. I have two older brothers and they never learned either. I was hoping there was some way of learning independantly so I'd feel slightly less stuck in the basement.
>12 pack in exchange for help driving
we're not that sort of people.

Looks like your only option is to just grab your family car and practice on your own. Start slowly and outside of public roads, like inside your property. Alternatively, there are driving schools. Google them to see if there's any in your city.

I think I'll put a spot on my prius too

I drive this baby around blaring SiriusXM.

Cars aren't even that expensive. If you aren't picky a person can easily get an old beater just to get around in for under 1000 bucks. Just about anyone should be able to save that much.

How is it taking you that long to save that little? What are your expenses that leave you with so little left?

man I miss my old 10ae

Insurance is the expensive thing
And for somebody who has never owned their own car before, investing $3000 minimum into a depreciating asset is not as tempting as buying a good computer or desk chair or something similar

True but typically if you're buying a junker it's because you actually need it for something and driving an old beat up vehicle makes inssurance a whole lot cheaper anyway. My early cars as a tennager were all 15+ years old and had body damage but were dirt cheap because of it. They still ran well enough and I used them for work so ultimantly they were all sound investments I made a significant profit off due to the simple utility provided. They made the difference between a minimum wage job and 20-25 an hour job for me which was more than enough to make up for the cost in a resonable period. Since the value in such a vehicle is the utility alone depreciation becomes nearly meaningless. Even if you run it to it's last breaths or it's totaled just junking it for scrap and salvage for a few hundred bucks will still can recoupe a fair percentage of your loss.

pic related is my dream car
