It's a matter of competition. Have you ever read anything by Houellebecq? The most rabid feminists are ALREADY past their prime. When they were young they lived through an Age which pushed an ideology that glorified youth and freedom, but guess what? They got old. They didn't stay young forever, and they didn't die young. Now they're victims of the ideology which they themselves helped to spread. NOW they expect people to respect their elders, even though when they were young they loathed old people. Lowering the age of consent would make old women even more miserable than they already are; they would have even more competition than they already have.
