1 month cut for Vegas poolside

Alright Jow Forums...I need some help.

My wife and I are going to Vegas June 13th and will be spending quite a bit of time poolside.

I've been going to gym since Nov 2018 and have made plenty of gainz. However, now I've been transitioning over to cutting so gainz will show.

In March I started adjusting to 1500 calorie diet. Ive acclimated pretty well and have worked out how to balance intake with workouts to maintain energy levels and self-repair. Originally, I was doing 1k calories and felt like butter shit...body also took nearly twice as long to recover from workouts. Eating more keeps me in gym and gainz continue.

I also spent most of March and April ramping up treadmill endurance and stress hardening my legs/shins (no longer get shin splints when running at 12mph).

I'm currently 5' 8" ~170lbs.

I want to kick my cutting phase into overdrive while minimizing muscle loss as much as possible.

How should I proceed?

I'll post screencaps of myfitnesspal food+exercises to give an idea of my stats.

I generally do ~30mim of HIIT cardio 4x a week. I run on treadmill if my legs are in good shape (learned not to overdo it to prevent injury). If legs are not in a good state, I go for elliptical.

Look imma give you some advice. There isn’t really any magic trick or biological “hacks”. Just gotta eat at a deficit and make sure your muscles are getting enough protein to rebuild / maintain themselves. GL

I'm pretty consistent with breakfast and lunch.

Dinner is all over the place.

Also, I tend to blow my calorie budget on smoothies. I typically drink them just prior to gym (to get energy) or at the gym after cardio/before strength training to refill glycogen.

OP, some advice for a guy who has tried every diet on Jow Forums. That is, intermittent fasting, PSMF, prolonged fasting (5-7 day fasts), keto, vegan, and carnivore. The only thing that has CONSISTENTLY worked, AND kept/built muscle, is the standard omnivore 30/30/40 diet, with 5 meals a day, with lifting AND LIIS cardio. You can drop 4-5lbs a month on this.

Everything else has worked to varying degrees, but either I would lose all my gains, or bounce back hard when I was done. I never understood what sustainable meant until I realized theres just no way in America that you can avoid a carb or avoid a meal... but why should you? You're a human, not a lion or a cow or a snake. For me it was about changing my relationship with food, and realizing 90% of the time I wasnt responding to hunger, I was responding to a craving.

Do any of the other diets, buckle down and you will look good in vegas; for the first 2 days. Then you'll feel your belt tightening by day 3. When you get home you'll just feel like shit in the mirror again.

One more thing, you said you were 5'8", 170lbs, and on a 1500 kcal diet. I am 5'8", 158lbs, and on a 2000 kcal diet doing what I do, and I am still (very steadily) dropping, and I can OCCASIONALLY have a cookie, or booze it up a bit.

Maintain everything that you're doing, even the bad habits, and add in 30 minutes of walking 6 days a week. That's it.

100% guarantee you'll lose fat without touching that muscle.

I've noticed a lot fatties have an unhealthy relationship with food, then when they try to lose weight they continue that unhealthy relationship with some crazy stupid diet. Of course they cant stick to their stupid diet so they relapse to breathing ice cream and pizza.
