Alright Jow Forums, lets settle it, SS or SL?
Alright Jow Forums, lets settle it, SS or SL?
Neither. Ever.
Westside Barbell for Skinny Bastards 3
feet>ass>tits
SS and a gallon of cheese
SS for sure
>t. someone who did SL
What makes you say this? What didn't you like about SL?
Would you rather do a program by an experienced lifter and coach or one done by a sandnigger with no credentials?
Jow Forumsfitness says SL doesn't work... so fuck SL
Neither, I want to do a program that works. I'm not a literal brainlet that let's the source judge it's truthfulness and/or effectiveness
Greyskull is the best option out of all of them.
However, it's only a starter. From there, you will need to add volume and find out which exercises work best for you.
What's so great about greyskull?
SS took me from weak cunt to pretty strong cunt quickly. So I'd say it works.
absolutely nothing
you have to go back
Phrak's GreySkull is the one I recommend.
More volume with the + set, meaning more form practice and muscle gain.
Yates rows rather than barbell rows, which is better for muscle gain.
Otherwise it's very similar to the others. Again, you should only do these programs for a few months max.
same here but with SL.
just depends on preference, I guess.
Does SL incorporate Rows or Power clean?
rows, but you can add any accessory
power cleans might be too heavy for accessory though.
Greyskull lp, duh.
For the first few months it's all the same.
SL is just SS with 2 more sets right, so how is SS supposed to be better?
SS+GOMAD
Postbody.
Westside for skinny bastards is SHIT
S H I T
The worst program I've ever done
You'll stall earlier with SL
The goal is to get strong quick, to me SL has an unnecessary amount of volume if your goal is that
>SL has an unnecessary amount of volume
Really? I just read it and I thought it was so low in volume especially it being 3x a week
works well for the first 6 months
It's the same. Focus on your intermediate routine, you'll stay on that just about forever, the beginner routne is just the beginning.
>I'm not a literal brainlet
>let's
>it's
Okay
>Start SL
>become t-rex mode, 3 plate squat after 6 months
>lower squat volume focus on bench
>get 2 plate bench after 7.5 months
>still look t-rex
>ditch SL and start 6 day ppl
Medhi is literally just a marketer who took SS and dumbed it down so he could repackage it and sell it to retards. And then the people who follow his retarded advice who end up stalling and becoming perma-DYELs blame SS because they think they're the same thing.
The only thing IMO that SL does better than SS is choosing pendlay rows rather than cleans. Cleans are a good exercise but I don't think they're proper for an absolute noob to jump right into on their own, untrained, and without a coach of some sort. Thing is SS assumes there's a coach with you teaching you all this shit, so cleans make sense in that context.
I did SL for 4 months, then SS for 6, then texas method for a year.
Got fucking jacked and hit 1.5, 2.5, 3.7, 4.7
They're good programs.
The insightful, articulate fanbase
This
I have been doing SL for couple of months and once a week I leave gym thinking how does it make any sense to deadlift after 25+ squat reps. I'm pretty sure my DL could be a lot better at this point.
not an argument
you did ss? lmfao, YOU post your body. lol :) :)
That’s why you only do 1 set, b/c your a lot of your deadlifting muscles are tired already from squats
I chose SL because i prefer rows over powercleans. It really just boils down to personal preference.
People who shit on both are dyel faggots who will never make it.
Reg Park's noob routine worked well for me.
BBM novice program
Shit! I always do 3! Now i know why I’m not shredded
It doesn't, SL is fucking stupid.
>over week since last time benched
>increased my bench today
fuaark, im gonna from now on just train every day with 40-50% weights and have just one heavy day.
Because noob gains are easy. Any beginner program will do as long as you work hard.
Both are shit. Just go to the gym 3d/w and bench, dl, squat, lat pulldown for 3*12 and 3*15 curls/dips each workout and you'll be stronger and better looking than with any of the programs.
The man in your picture is a literal cuck and encourages the worst OHP form imaginable
SS >SL.
Barbell rows are retarded, let's be honest. SS has you doing weighted chins, which are superior. It also has you power cleaning, which is fun. Back Extensions are also a great active recovery exercise for the deadlfit, which is why Mark suggests using them on non-diddly days.
I prefer the Greyskull way of doing things, however. Squat Monday and Friday, Deadlift Wednesday with Power Cleans as a warmup. That way those lifts don't conflict, and you get a little more deadlifting volume in while still getting decent squat volume without going overboard.
Straight shota or lesbian loli, straight loli is for child molesters.
yeah thats the biggest flaw with SL and SS
Even rippletits admits it, but still tells you to "just squat light" when your lifts go up. Dude has an unrealistic squat obession.
greyskull fixes this.
Based
Curl bro is the best routine, prove me wrong.
Yeah and you're probably morbidly obese too like every other SS victim.
Calisthenic
If you don't want to look like shit do PPL. Simple.
They aren't really much different
I'm 5'11 and weigh 152lbs
Should I do SS GOMAD
Or
SS eat loads
Madcow or TM?
Reddit recommends them which is why you should avoid it. Just look at the guy who created it. A dyel covered in tats
I posted yours.
The only program worth doing is PPL
Prove. Me. Wrong.
What's the best program for skinny people? SS seems like is for fat fucks exclusively, even that mark guy is fat.
They're the same program, retard. You aren't going to see any difference doing 5x5 compared to 3x5.
They are quite literally the same program.
>but muh 3 sets vs 5 sets
StrongLifts eventually becomes 3x5 once the weight gets heavy
>but Starting Strength starts with heavier weight
If you are a teen or athlete.
The only meaningful difference is rows versus power cleans.
imagine still discussing basic routines that blew up over 14 years ago purely because everyone prior to that only knew 10x10 with 20 different dumbbell exercises and made no gains
This; Medhi says he got the 5x5 routine from guys like Reg Park or Bill Starr, but if you look at the literature behind SL, from form advice to the application of linear progression (to my knowledge, Reg Park's 5x5 was not marketed as a linear progression, and Bill Star's programming is basically HLM), it's lifted entirely from Starting Strength, except dumbed down and without nearly as much biomechanical reasoning behind it
SS for fatfucks
SS+gomad for skinnies
>SL has an unnecessary amount of volume
>15 DL reps a fortnight
Lmao
SS makes sense in the context of taking HS football players and peaking their strength over summer with a coach and only caring about football. Using it in any other context can work but then why do it over say 531, GZCLP, WS4SB etc?
>I did SL for 4 months, then SS for 6,
>10 months on LP
Why tho
