I tried minke and pilot whale when I lived in Iceland and in the Faroe Islands and I loved the taste. Don't fall for the SeaShepherd propaganda, guys.
>Only available in certain countries
PAIN
I'm Danish, so at least I have a lot of herring and cod, r-right?
You have my attention. Is there any affordable ways for burgers to get it?
Bought whale tendon at a Japanese supermarket (as in in Japan) and cooked it up - waaaay too fishey for me and the kitchen smelled like whale for a solid 3 weeks after.
Maybe if I'd gotten a better cut (I saw it around every so often in big blocks) it might've been better, but it's certainly not something I'd go searching for again, plus it's way too oiley to have good macros
Yeah I eat it just to violate the whale community. Dont like the taste really.
>DAE
why the fuck did you need to abbreviate "does anyone else"?
All that meat getting to his brain. Should eat a plant based diet instead.
Faggot fucking vegans. Don't you have some kind of protest to go to.
I will be in Torshavn this summer, my friend. Looking forward for that delicious blubber
Unfortunately I live in the UK and it's illegal.
Where can you even eat whale meat and not pay fortune for it? Probably in Iceland or some shit
holy shit my dudes
AFAIK pilot whale is available in the Faroe Islands only.
Minke whale and some others are sometimes available in Iceland, more often in Norway.
Japs don't give a shit about preservation and hunt all kinds of whales. Some Canadian or Greenlandic native peoples also hunt whale, but on a smaller scale.
Got whale sushi in Japan, 2 pieces for 4 dollars
yes, eat it around once a month, including blubber.
Everything costs a fortune in Iceland
>70g of protein /100g
FUCKING HELL WHY ISNT THIS SHIT SOLD EVERYWHERE?
it used to be, but then they almost went extinct. Now only a handful of countries still hunt and only small non endangered ones.
Norway, you can get it frozen for pretty cheap here. Dunno the prices for fresh.
It tastes good. Like steak, but kind of different.
Heard its shit tier. But the Nips still eat it because it was all they had to eat after they got nuked and muh tradition.
>Iceland
>not a fortune
ha.
GOD MACRO HOLY FUCK
just imagine how much whale meat was thrown away during the oil-lamp days
