Well actually not really. Most experiments use total bodyweight. Of course that's for individuals that are leanish (15% bf). If you are obese, calculating only on lean mass would underestimate.

You should be going at least 3 or 4 days a week. Depends on how fast you want to get results, though. The best advice I can give you is to learn to love the process. It’s going to take a long time and a lot of hard work. But if you come to truly enjoy exercise, lifting, going to the gym, etc. it will feel less like work and more like a hobby. You’ll look forward to doing it and it’ll become a bright spot in your life. Take things one day at a time and accept that you’re in it for the long haul and don’t expect results overnight. You can do it bro, I believe in you.
