Your BMR isn't as high as you think, try for 2700 instead or you'll become a ham.

This.

Calculate your TDEE and add 500 (read the sticky for more details)

Here is my TDEE, so does 3100 sound reasonable for bulking?

3-3500kcal/day is a reasonable calorie intake for an average-sized, sedentary male.

What do you do that you feel is characterized as "heavy exercise?" You're more skelly than I thought, I'd drop my recommendation from 2700 to 2500 unless you do enough cardio to justify the extra.

They said ''Heavy Exercise'' was 6-7 times a week.
Right now i do 7-10 hours of lifting a week + 2-3 hours of cardio a week, i would class 10-13 hours of exercise a week as heavy

Almost as heavy as the average American

The contribution of exercise to caloric expenditure depends heavily on type of exercise. If you're able to estimate the actual number of calories you burn per week, you should just add that to 7*BMR and then calculate your TDEE as an average. I still think 3100 is too high, 2700 sounds about right.

2700 for bulking is fucking ludacris though, it would take 5 years to see miniscule amounts of progress.
Medical professionals recommend a SEDENTARY male eats 2500 calories a day to maintain.
How the fuck is someone at 6'3 who works out 6-7 days a week supposed to GAIN MUSCLE on 200 calories above what a sedentary male who doesnt work out needs? It just doesnt add up what you're saying

>6'3
Like 4k minimum I eat 3500 at 5'6 and gain like 1kg a month.

Because this person is 6'3/190cm and weighs 145 lbs/66 kg. This isn't an average sedentary male, this is a male who is very underweight. He should eat at a 500 Calorie surplus for his body type, not the "average""."

Look at the recommendation for their sedentary comparison in the posted image, using the same charts doctors use - it's under 2000. Since this person doesn't weigh much and likely isn't burning much in cardio, I tacked on 200 for exercise then a 500 for weight gain. It's about the same as the OP pic recommends.

i'm 6'1/78kg and bulking on 4000cals :')

tho someone starting out would be good with a lot less, 3000 seems like a good target

You'll gain weight and muscle a lot faster, but will have more fat to cut later. Not a big deal.

For really skinny guys gaining muscle should be at a much higher priority than staying lean IMO

Its always easier to just drop some carbs and lean out than it is to pack on quality muscle mass.

This isn't my first bulk, I hit 87kg then dropped to 72kg and now I'm climbing the ladder again. My starting weight was 60kg.

My goal is to hit 100kg at some point.

What are your lifts at?

uh.
I hate answering this question because so many things affects how much you can lift.

Squat 110kg for almost 10x4 but I go about parallel not atg
Overhead press dumbbells 22kg each hand almost 10x4
Bench below arm parallel but not quite chest touch 60kg 10x4
I dont deadlift anymore but my max was 160kg for 2

Hope that helps

That seems a bit excessive don't you think? 4000 calories almost has to be done dirty, not many skinny people have the stomach capacity to get down 4000 calories of clean food

Bulk with a slight excess till your definition starts to disappear.

Once you get down to a 4 pack start cutting.

If you have over a cm of fat across your abs you are too fat and must cut.

Whatever you do dont fall for the bulking meme.

I don't know how many once aesthetic people used to be on here, but fell for the bulk meme and are now just fat and have resigned themselves to powerlifting (powerfatting).

These poor souls are permabulkers and will never cut.

The point of no return is when you look in the mirror and say yo yourself if rather be strong than ripped.

Stay strong of mind and will. Don't become one of them.

It is infinitely better and more socially acceptable and desirable to be "too skinny" vs a strong guy with fat, because then he just looks like a bitch tits porker to 99% of the population, they won't see his hidden muscles.

And if you do become a powerfatter and put on a bunch of muscle and fat, you'll lose most of your gains when you have to cut 20+ pounds anyways.

You've been warned.
