Agalloch.. There's nothing better than Agalloch.. Best band ever...

They unfortunately split up.

Max Richter has been my new favorite artist for a few weeks now. Been listening to a lot. Sounds feels-y.
Yann Tiersen and Ludovico Einaudi are pretty good too.

I yearn for the older days

I didn't hear that Have a Nice Life was releasing a new album, I'll definitely have to give it a listen. I liked The Unnatural World quite a bit and enjoyed that it wasn't as long as Deathconciousness.

This album is one of my comfy personal albums, it's indie pop produced by Brian Eno. I was listening to The Absence of a Canary by Ceramic Hello earlier.

Haven't heard this in a couple of years. It gave me such a strong feelsy reaction that I'm unconfortably usettled now.

Okay here we go
Black flag
Dead Kennedys
Afi
Circa survive
Melvins
Radiohead
Tyler the creator
Brand new
Rage against the machine
And
melt banana

Starset for me. I love the complexity of their songs and how their lyrics are kinda vague until you read into them. It's really easy to both relate to and/or get lost in their songs. My favorite of theirs is Unbecoming, but I can just drift away listening to Everglow.

This is a pretty good feels song by ozma called restart

This is one of the first albums were I feel genuinely scared when listening to. Any recommendations for similar music?

This song is kinda nice and has a good mood to it.

Daughter's latest album is scary but it's noise rock not electronica

I've been really into this band for the last ~2.5 years ever since I heard their first album. Definitely one of the best new bands I've heard in a LONG time.

The guitar solo at 5:05 in this one reminds me of Mastodon a lot.
>Circa Survive
>Brand New

Two of my favorite bands. I think we might've talked briefly in a thread a couple weeks ago.

Doubt it ive been off board for over a month and didn't know about Circa yet.

Damn shame what happened to lacy.
At the time we had crime in stereo and the Republic of Wolves. But now that genuine of a sound is hard to come by. RoW is still good they just moved away from that so much.

Def gonna check out these guys tho.

Check out Giles Corey. It's fucking great

I know. Super bummed because I never got to see Brand New live and now I probably never will.

This is better than most of the shit songs posted in these threads. It' snot something that made me wow but it sure was enjoyable. I'll prob give them some time of my day to go over their discography.

Yeah, they announced it sometime in January as a part of their labels release schedule. They'll also be playing Deathconsciousness as a full set next month iirc, I was thinking about going but
>Going outside
>Going to another country on top of that
Also I'll have to give that a album a try, I'll check out anything if it's produced by Brian

Just dumped by GF so I'm sharing some feel music.

Currently on a Chet Baker binge. Just all of his famous stuff where he sings. Some good 50s blues/jazz vibes

If you're ever in the mood to, I think they're worth it. Their second album was called All That Divides and their first album was Statues. Here's a few favorites off the first.

Wow, I just realized Giles is on the same label as have a nice life, that is pretty cool.

Is that have a nice life. They have some pretty neat music. I mainly listen to a quick one before the eternal worm devours Connecticut

The worst part is just how stupid it was.
Like he didn't even fuck them.
And he wasn't that famous yet. He was just young and dumb.
But in today's culture he'd be crucified if he so much as even thought about making a new album.
And even if he did it wouldn't be anything like tdag or sifi eras

Well Dan made both and does own the label so it would only make sense.

hey user I don't have any good recs but thank you for posting this album. I'm really enjoying it.

I like Velocity:Design:Comfort by Sweet Trip a lot. It's glitchy too but way more soothing and pretty than this, and also pretty minimalist.

Fuck yeah, VDO is sick. Have you checked out You Will Never Know Why?

Demetori touhou remixes. Pretty good stuff.

Really hope the new HANL record will be good. The Unnatural World was good but I don't revisit it as much as I was hoping.
Hope we can get a new Giles record too, but something tells me that's maybe unlikely.

Helps me get out of bed in the morning

I think the new album will be good. If not, different.

HUMAN KIND HE FROWNED UPON
BUT NOT NOW HIS FACE IS GONE
GUESS YOUR FROWNING DAYS ARE DONE
OH SURLY JOE!

Carissa's Wierd-Songs About Leaving (Album) specifically So You Wanna Be A Superhero and Nobody Gives A Shit

Nothing at the moment, but I've got Daniel Caesar - Best Part going on in my head
The Antlers - Hospice
Kanye West

Thanks user. I'm heading to bed but I'll make sure to listen to these in the morning on my way to uni.

Have A Nice Life can do no wrong.

Dan was excited for Fallout 76 and has a happa son. There's some things he can do wrong

listening to smashing pumpkins, feeling nostalgic

>implying HANL is just Dan
lol ok

I don't normally listen to this, but when I need to cry nothing else does it right. My go to song for when I realize I can only have superficial relationships and no one will love me for who I am.

Cool shit

Love this

These are magnificent

iI have been listening to that album since last year and I'm starting to get real tired of it and HANL as a whole. I relied on youtube recommendations to find new music, but it just keeps fucking recommending me HANL, Giles Corey, Anime music I'm also tired of listening, and the same mixed bag of dad rock. I gave Good Kid M.A.A.D city a couple of listens too but I just don't vibe with it anymore.

I've been giving a serious listen to two kinds of normalfag music: K-pop and mainstream rap like Drake, and I got to say that I am seriously digging some of this stuff, if only because I'm tired of the music I know and I just want something new to give a listen to.

I gave black/death metal a chance too, but it didn't capture my attention for long. I feel like I want something dark but less slow and sad and more angry and moved.

It's going to sound fucking terrible, but I want something that could fit in as background music for an AMV or as the opening of an anime but with the dark and heavy themes bands like HANL or Swans or Death Grips have. Something like Evanescence/Korn with the "heaviness" of HANL. "Holy Fucking shit 40k" and "Deep deep" are so fucking god I just wanted more like that, but with a bit more "action" to them.

No one is going to read this, but I hope I get something good.

Usually listen to atmospheric music this one's pretty good dark country is the only country. Not having any of that pop shit.

>gave all these replies a chance
>fucking /mu/ bs

Don't worry user I read your post.
I don't know if I have anything that seems to be quite what you're looking for but I'll give some suggestions for stuff you might like.
There's this band All Your Sisters who I think are on the same label as HANL and Giles Corey but mostly make post-punk/ gothic stuff which is what songs like Deep Deep and HFS40k are inspired by
They have two albums and the second one is in my opinion way better
youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lYtvHPDP0SnOlxkQQxo4xxEohoNpdLzjk
Also maybe try The Soft Moon, maybe you've heard of them because that one song was used in Sam Hyde's show
youtube.com/watch?v=Ed79L3wQu38

Death metal is fucking trash, but I don't know why you weren't able to find any black metal you liked. If it's angery you want maybe listen to I'd suggest early Gorgoroth because that is peak "pissed off" core. You probabyl already listened to Filosofem becasue that's the one everyone suggests, but try the album that came right after it I forgot the name but it's norwegian and has a dead guy on the side of a road as the cover art.
Bathory is good, even the stuff that's not BM, like the nordland albums.
If you want more depressive stuff, but just faster paced try some gothic metal, Forest Stream, Depressed Mode (cringe name in my opinion but good music), and there's this russian band call The Morningside who I found recently that are bretty gud.

Nine Inch Nails might be worth listening to, assuming you haven't already of course as they are a huge band/ project. The Downward Spiral and The Fragile especially.

youtu.be/vKCCaaPB9ac
They are just so unique, this album especially has so much weirdness in it. The lyrics, that guitar sound and song structures.
