Decided to ease up this weekend. Broke a 3 day fast yesterday with some good friends. Didn't eat any fast food, it was some nice Japanese food and then some moonshine I drank afterwards. Made chow mein this morning as my OMAD. Tomorrow I'm going to try and use up all my wonton wrappers in either a lasagna or just making potstickers. Going to keep up the couch to 5k progress.
Hoping to hit 180lbs before the month ends. Lowest recorded weight was 191lbs this week and hit 193lbs this morning.

After losing 30lb, I took up martial arts and calisthenics. I'm not big, but I have enough muscle that I'm told I look good.

Ate cheetos and a pastry today, making my day only 200kcal under. First """"cheat day"""" since I started almost 5 months ago so I'm not too flustered, taking it as a bit of acclimation to maintenance given I have so little left to lose. The want for eating something shitty had been accumulating for a couple of weeks.

It's just a habit at this point. I heavily associate eating with watching something on youtube, though I don't associate watching youtube videos with eating, so although it is kind of trashy, I don't see any harm in it.

Weighing yourself every day and noting the rolling average is a much better indicator of your weight loss progress than any single measurement. Dehydrating yourself for one look isn't going to do shit.

Just keep in mind that your weight is going to fluctuate; like you said, water is a factor. So it's OK if your weight goes up or sits still while you're sure you're maintaining your deficit. The rolling average is what matters.

I guess you could take a laxative and drink a ton of water, but as the other user said a single data point doesn't really matter. It's the trend shown by a rolling average you want.

6'1 185 lbs, I already dropped 15 lbs with water fasting. I need to lose another 20 lbs but I also want to start building muscle. I just started a 5x5 barbell routine and I also walk 5 miles a day. What is best diet for me? I know I need to be in calorie deficit. Maybe keto so I can also get enough protein?

The actual 'keto' diet is only moderate protein intake, in my case the calculators only gave me 100g protein. The most important thing is getting 1g per pound of lean body mass, the other macros aren't as important.

It's pretty bright already and I don't bike on the same roads as cars drive so no worries.

yeah I know man. my problem is I'm not even that far gone, I just need to lose 20-30 lbs but I can't do it mentally. I'm 5'8 and 185 lbs with some decent muscle from working manual labor but I have a solid layer of fat all over my body, hate taking my shirt off at the beach type body, and I just can't eat right. I'm addicted to burritos and other carby foods and when I eat right, I just feel off and feel like I've been cheated, like something is missing for the entire day and I eventually rebound with a huge binge like I did today.

Right now I like to have three meals a week, on MWF right after I lift. Pic related is usually what I have, pork/chicken/beef combo from a local Hawaiian BBQ place. I suppose it's keto. Not that I'm specifically going for that, this is just some good after workout shit here.

But I started with taking the Lyle PSMF pill, did that for a while. Then after watching a bunch of documentaries took the keto pill, did that for a while. Then found out about IF and took that pill, going from keto 3MAD to 2MAD to OMAD to OMEOD and so on. Fasting has really been the ultimate winner, the more I do it the easier it becomes. I'll throw in longer fasts from time to time, right now I'm in the middle of a 5 day fast.

Any kind of movement really unless its lifting. I drive everywhere and have a wheelchair for longer trips.

Hill sprints work. 40 to 50 meter intervals. 1.5 m rest. Did this last year. Worled up to 19. Lost 10 lbs. Went from 21 to 17% bf (dexa) in 2 months.

Are all calories equal when it comes to weight gain? I find it hard to believe 500 calories pf sugar is equally fattening as 500 of protein or 500 of fat, like there must be a limit that the body can process or whatever.
