Russia and RT are primarily concerned with undermining globalism. It is in Russia's interest, they try to undermine globalism in any way they can: just look at their backing of Assad and China. They'll back any country that does not bow to the global elite. Whether that's purely because Putin wants to consolidate his control of Russia or he believes he's some sort of protector of national soverieignty, that's what RT attempts to do imo.
