Is being a NEET a meme...

Is being a NEET a meme? I would love to but if you live in America there is literally no way to unless your parents totally support you, and mine don't.

You have to have a plan for your time, otherwise it's a time sink. But in the US, your best bet to go NEET is to invest in passive income streams, which does take cash.

So, ironically, the people that can become NEET are the hardest working people.

if it was a fucking meme this fucking board would be dead you fat fuck

Being a NEET is absolutely a meme and is completely normie behavior.

>no genuine challenges
>Consumes media all day
>muh depression/anxiety
>Exact clone of other NEETs
>complains incessantly about pop culture
>participates in pop counter culture like anime, Jow Forums, and etc.
>parasite to society
>Complains about society

A beard wearing skinny code monkey male feminist cuck is less pathetic than the NEET.

>Is being a NEET a meme?
yes, NEETs are a normie tier phenomena

Ofc neets are becoming more popular. The average school student sees no value in what they learn, school starts stupidly early. On top of this many are victims of bullying. Theyll go to college, put themselves in thousands and thousands of debt for a degree which doesnt actually guarantee a job. They use social media as thats the 'normal' thing to do, scrolling past pictures of their acquaintances/friends 'living their best life'.IF they do manage to come across a job, that is their life for another 40 years. Working 9-5 until retirement, by which time youll have virtually no energy to do any of the things you'd've liked to have done when you were younger,if you had the money.

Couple all of this with social anxiety.. how can this not completely bring a man down? Many neets see no purpose in life, and are existing just to exist.

All of this is me. So I put effort into becoming something other than a consumption obsessed doomers NEET. Still no friends, gf, positive outlook on society, but at least I'm not falling in line with the rest of the normie (NEET or cuck). A man is the sum of his actions. Take no actions and you are no man.

What about SSI & SSD? dumping remus guide

your actions are irrelevant faggot
might as well neet it out if your moral compass allows you to

>What about SSI & SSDI?
mainly a meme and the Remus guide is way out of date
both are near impossible to get on and SSI is designed so that you can't live off it. SSDI is more generous but you have to have a work history to get on it

Actions are literally the only things that are relevant.

I agree. I am temporary NEET for reasons out of my control that will be fixed soon. I fucking hate it. I feel like such a parasite. You have to be a real developmentally stunted manchild to want to be a NEET forever.

If you have no money concerns and never will, being NEET is good. Like if you're a trustfund baby. Otherwise it's not a good idea.

>I feel like such a parasite
lol, bet you are willing to die for your job bootlicky

this is totally bullshit. I am making $75,000 a year now as a web developer, but i was NEET for 6 months

>no genuine challenges
95% of the time this is probably true, but in my case it was the opposite. i got incredibly Jow Forums as a NEET, and also worked really hard and had considerable progress on a personal project (a video presentation / documentary)
I was basically 60% finished with it in 2.5 months. I have been working this job for 4 months and i'm maybe 70% done now: every day I come home from work, exhausted

>Consumes media all day
well, i would go to the gym and exercise. I don't like anime or video games. I would often have youtube presentations playing, or music, while I did stuff. I did a lot of online debates and research

>muh depression/anxiety
nah, just a touch of aspergers / schizoid

>Exact clone of other NEETs
same thing can be said about wagies

>complains incessantly about pop culture
nah

>participates in pop counter culture like anime, Jow Forums, and etc.
i only post on Jow Forums, but so do you? i hate anime. i wonder what 'etc' is though

>parasite to society
not really. i lived entire off my savings

>Complains about society
i still do this, in fact i'm more miserable now, since i'm wageslaving, so i have more to complain about.

ultimately my goal is to retire by age 35-40 and become a full-time NEET. i am 25 right now. my parents might be dead by then and i'd get the house, so i could live off just $100,000 if i inherit a house.

if i make it to 40 and am still employed, i'll just kill myself. it's such a pathetic life, especially for someone who isn't going to get a wife and have kids.
i can't even think of what to buy with money, besides food. i have a car already

>I fucking hate it.
what is there to hate about it, except the lack of money?

do you seriously have no feeling of self worth or innate drive?

can you think of no way to contribute to the world that doesn't involve doing what a boss says, or making money?

>I feel like such a parasite.
why?

This guide is satire and literally never helped anyone.

OP here, not talking about if being a NEET is desirable or not, I mean how feasible it is to become one in the first place. And by my research it is hard as fuck as said

>not talking about if being a NEET is desirable or not
don't worry, it is objectively desirable

wagies who hate their job will try to shame you for it, but that's because deep down they are unhappy

they lack any inherent sense of purpose or innate drive, and thus must put themselves in a position of being forced to work

it's like a fat guy refusing to exercise, so he gets thrown into the center of a pool and must either drown to death or swim to the edge, thus burning calories

only a loser with a totally slave-like mentality would make such a pathetic post like: imagine being so incapable of challenging yourself or developing a personality that you export this to some company that pays you as little as they can get away with for your labor

I'm 28 and been NEET for nearly six years. There's been brief periods of employment throughout those years, but none lasted longer than three months. I've mostly been writing books in my free time. I don't play many video games or watch anime. The most vidya I play is a round Tetris once or twice a week.I don't think I'm doing too bad and over all I'm pretty happy. I only ever feel bad about my situation when friends and family talk down to me.

>Implying wageslavery is the only alternative to being a parallel
Drones like you are better off dead

How can a person [legally] make money if they only have $1000 saved up? Be specific, pathetic wagie

Get American neetbux and live alone in a nice flat.

currently living neet.

Anyone know any passive income things to do to keep up neet life such as to sell on etsy or home labor or will i have to work another job to save money again for another year.

Is overnight security all its up to be? I live in texas i might get shot

I was a NEET for over a year and a half.
It was good and all but it's about to come to an end.
Attending medical school this fall so I got about 6months of the NEETlife left.
I was kind of getting sick of the whole wake up, eat, play vidya, watch anime, go to sleep routine so I guess I have no complaints.
See you later NEETs I'll be wageslaving as a doc in 4 years.
