>get back from work
>have to lift ~1h after coming home
>feeling compeletly exhausted and powerless
>don't feel like lifting
>you have to lift at this specific hour because you won't have enough time later due to chores and other shit
>getting only 5 hours of sleep every day
should i just end it all?
Get back from work
Stop wasting time here, go to bed 4 hours earlier and lift in the morning
Drink coffee you fuck. 200-600mg of caffeine should help.
Just be yorself mane
>lift in the morning
i leave for work at 5am
i drink coffee for taste and caffeine doesn't do shit for me except giving me high bp at high doses
You have to leave work at 5 am wtf do you do. What time do you work till?
i feel the exact same. even if im passing out in the bus/subway on the way back from work, i still pull it together and go to the gym.
i usually feel better and more awake as i lift
Sleep is important for lifting too op. How long are you commuting/working overtime that you cant fit in gym easily?
8 hours sleep
11 hours work
5 hours play
Should be the way right? Extra hours for transport and lunch added to work
its obvious stop lifting
get bigger other ways
mental projection, quantum optimism, work out at work and so on
not hard
Embrace it. Shit’s brutal, you can whine or you can embrace the fact that you are living a hard life and are stronger for it.
from what ive noticed after starting to wageslave is that any fit person is retarded and havent worked a day in their life,
I dont have time to do anything anymore, I come home and just stare at the wall for 1 hour then sleep
Then lift from 3 to 4:30 and get ready from 4:30 to 5 you mongoloid
I'm in a similar boat.
>have to wake up at 3AM
>work at 4AM
>hard lajob job for 3-4 hours
>trying to do gym right after it
>cant lift big weights anymore due to my work
>tired for the rest of the day and I still have to force myself to study for uni
what I did is I set up a new daily routine that I follow, strictly.
Right after my work I go to uni and focus on learning.
Since most of the time I'm sitting on my ass and reading or programming this is a nice break.
Right after uni I have a big meal and take a nap for 15-30min
Nowadays I go to the gym right before sleep
Right after gym I take a warm shower that get me down and sleepy.
Try something like that.
>Lift in the morning, go to sleep earlier.
>Invest in a home gym and therefore lift at more convenient hours/much faster.
>If you live in an apartment or something where a full power rack isn't an option, acquire a dip and pullup station as well as a barbell with some plates. Prioritize sleep and just do weighted pullups and dips as well as front squats and maybe cleans at home until you can get a better job.
Those are really your options. If you can't get your 8 hours because of having to go to some gym, then fuck that. It's redundant to lift without sleep anyway.
i won't get any sleep this way
>get your 8 hours
7 are enough if you are not fat and have some heart problems
Cont.
Alternatively, you could do squats and deadlifts with a trap bar as long as you sufficiently cushion the weights in an apartment. No rack needed then.
how many hours do you work a week
Most modern apartment blocks (the actual blocks not just converted old houses) have concrete floors. You can put a rack on them easy peasy. You can also get rubber mats and rubber weights if you're worried about noise / impact.
Didn't realize that. Thanks, I'll keep it in mind in the future when I get a new apartment.
The issue of space still arises, though. I imagine most apartments would get really crowded with a rack and deadlifting platform.
>18:00 come home from work + eat + wank
>20:00 working out + shower
>22:00 chill
>00:30 go to bed
>08:30 wake up
literally 4-5hours of chilling between/after working out. your life must suck
do 2 workouts per week. do a full workout on the weekend and during the week only do 1 or 2 compound lifts. if you do 1 per day you do 3 days per week. if 2 you do 2 days per weekday.
also the feel of powerlessness goes away quickly when you start lifting. you should probably eat an hour before starting tho.
its important that youre consistent with your workouts but its not that important to get maximum effort out of each workout. getting used to the workload can also take a long time so dont quick, just do what you can.
Op I work 630-3 and have a 1 hour commute each way and still go to the gym 4/5 days of a work week. Suck it up poocy
