In one meal. The body can only absorb so much at a time so the stuff that rapidly digests will result in a lot of waste, the slower digested protein will over time result in greater protein absorbed.

If that were true, our distant hunter-gatherer ancestors who went days between meals would have all died from malnutrition.
Or we don’t need the insane amounts of protein we regularly see being consumed on Jow Forums and that our ancestors likely saved their food and spread it out over time instead of eating it all immediately.
Remember the protein recommendations we see in the nutritional guidelines of various nations are not minimums but are instead the optimal amount for the average person.
Protein deficiency is essentially unheard of in the developed world. Even the out there fringe vegans get sick from other nutritional deficiencies before a lack of protein can become an issue.
I find it hard to believe if i take me for example:

Work out 6 days a week, 1-1.5 hrs each session
50g of protein a day
looking to add ~1-1,5kg lean bodymass a month
To me it seems biochemically impossible to synthesize the muscle fibers i need with that little amino acids
There’s protein to survive and of course there’s an increased requirement to build muscle mass. There is such a thing as too little. But I’m highly doubtful of anyone needing more than 1g per kg of BW.
How the fuck did hunter gatherers save their food? It was kill an animal, drag its meat back to the tribe, cook and eat all you could, then go hunting for a few days. They went through continuous cycles of fasting and gorging.
Meat lasts a day, that’s long enough (read the study, the main argument is to not gorge on protein in one sitting but to eat it spread throughout the day). Besides examination of preserved stomachs revealed that we ate mostly plants prior to the ice ages, less issues about going bad.

Lean body mass isn't all muscle fibers. Muscles are 80% water desu and there's other materials too. I doubt we have that much protein synthesis going on.
Maybe they got their protein from beans and berries and nuts and seeds.
