Symmetric strength thread
Is this site legit? I mean, how well does it reflect your level? I someone who is called an intermediate on every lift by it actually done with noobie gains?
tfw 5 months lifting and still only blue man + my shoulders haven't progressed at all
Deadlifts are a meme anyways.
125 squat
125 bench
115 row
have been lifting for 3 months but I'm pretty happy with what I've done so far
excited to get to at least full novice soon
It's obviously not perfect but it's still pretty good. You enter what you lift as well as your weight, sex and age, and then it shows you how Jow Forums you are.
Are you me. What program?
How do you bench as much as you squat.
rippletits SS
If I put certain lifts, it shows me as fully intermediate, if I put all of them I'm almost entirely blue
My row is a little cheated but whatever
>Check at least one lift.
SHIEEEEEEEEEEET
Literally me
That just means that you're better at certain lifts
WHEN YOU DO SS/SL
I didn't squat for a long long time. I also haven't tried 1RM for any of those lifts
Deadlifts being a meme is a meme
1 month lifting, how am I doing?
What did you do before lifting? Pretty good
>advanced posterior delts edition
>incline bench is your weakest lift edition
>eternal intermediate edition
Post body
Leglet checking in
green man when?
Based
you probably look like a triangle
>deadlifts are a meme
>untrained
kek nice bait
still early in muscle development (not the guy you replied to, but I currently bench/squat about the same)
~11 months, but an injury set me back. Solid teal man and making good progress towards green man
on the site it says it should take at least a year to get teal
Just started SS on Monday. Am I fucked?
You just started, what the fuck do you expect
Consistenty lifting for 7 months
On a cut since 3 months ago and thats also when I started watching my proteins and shit.
Fuck legs btw, didn't do them in months
According to the site my chest is below average for even the average untrained person. And I do see people who look smaller than even me benching more than I can.
>Fuck legs btw, didn't do them in months
how much you weighing?
like 2 months in
what's better for building back between pendlays and t bar rows? besides deadlifts bc i strained my back doing them :^(
also any other way to work arms without isolation exercises? i just find them boring to do
you're right you should give up
fugging bench :DDDDDD
Lifting for 4 months.
>progress I guess
Nice going on that deadlift, I worked myself up to 175 and tried 180 today, but that fkin bitch didn't go up reeeeeee.
Thanks, I went in the gym an absolutely blasted it out of it at 160 x 8, back this week and I could only do 145kg x 7 then I remember I took a preworkout sample I had lying around, such a huge difference that I decided to use preworkout from now on on my heaviest week of 5/3/1, I'm very interested what I can do in 2 weeks, I expect to see a couple extra kilos on everything
>tfw when you halfway through 1 rm deadlift and you feel your from shitting itself but you don;t care you just want it up
I try not to do 1rm's too often they feel so dangerous on deads at least with squats and bench you can dump the bar on the safeties with deads the danger zone is fuzzy
Chin ups for back/arms
I got normal sized legs without working legs so its kinda fine, but I did just do deadlifts
doesn't take long to pick up those gains, i was 100% pink when I started and took me two months tops to reach blue
1 year progress
Still training for that green ass
>Jow Forums thinks I'm strong
>I know I'm weak
wtf I thought you guys were extinct
kek
>everyone I know think I'm the biggest, baddest motherfucker around
>people legit scared of me
meanwhile, I'm such a sad-ass weakling, it hurts.
>progress
>no after pic
I've been lifting for two weeks and this is using my 1rm that I tested yesterday. I've been going based on the SS routine from the SS website. Does anyone have a link to a torrent for the actual book? I'd love to read it in more detail
Tfw ohp. Also have almost never been serious about squats
2 months
>doing SS
>testing your 1rm
Pick one
how make strength more symmetric?
The webpage must be memeing me because my biceps are one of the weakest parts of my body
I just want some decent looking arms bruh
Based facepull pilled
How do you raise your 1rm?
5'11" 187lbs. Why are my legs big but weak boys
Been training for 4 months seriuosly now. Im kinda young so i have a long way to go.
4 months calisthenics
6 months gym
working on the leg part...
you definitely didnt skip leg day
I finally did it boys. After 3.5 months of working my ass off, I’m finally a teal man. Thanks for motivating me, bros. I ain’t slowing down.
~9 months of lifting, just hit intermediate today according to this
I can't for the life of me raise my squat. Took me months of trying to perfect the form to realize what's the problem, since my quads are big. Fallen fucking arches.
When i finally managed to squat a big load without either exposing my back or caving my knees i felt my feet and ankles screaming for help.
Haven't squatted in a month and i am finally free of either low back pain or knee pain (when the back pain stopped as i was working on form, my knees started hurting).
Tbh i have a fat ass, so i shouldn't work it out until my cut is complete.
feelsbad ohp
My OHP isnt good :(
I got 94 even. What’re your lifts/bw/age??
>205 bench
Pull ups, chin ups are the weaker cope version of pullups. Do sternum pullups for upper back if standard and widegrip get too easy
>elite delts
What’s your OHP??
My strength score is 64.4.
Just finished working out, everything felt rather easy so i think next workout I will put on more weights.
Anyone can tell me if there is a made it cut off?
What score is it?
hit a DL pr today, cant wait to add it to symmetric strength
278 lbs, helps that i did manual labor
niggers, you're literally a novice until a full year of training. SS is a good program, you need to stick with it.
nigger sounds like your form is still way off
15 yo.
15yo 70kg 5"8
Next time don't proudly state that you're underage b& because you think your shit lifts are impressive for your age
been lifting about two weeks now. Gonna hit blue man next week, if progress keeps up. Wish me luck bros
sad faggot
your overhead press is 278 lbs? lmao
I know for a fact that you are not strict pressing that. Maybe push pressing.
11 months lifting.
That T-rex physique :(
I feel like I have accomplished so little but I've been very regular. How do you guys stay motivated for long periods and how long did it take before you felt truly strong
Just did some maxes for ohp and bench. Lifting for 2-3 months. Jiu jitsu on mon/wed.
5'9" 165lbs
100 OHP
150 Bench
205 Squat
205 Deadlift
I've been skipping leg and chest day a lot to work on my upper back. It is fucking pathetically weak. Nearly able to do a pull up now.
Any recommendations/tips for delts/lats?
i can overhead press a fat bitch
2 years lifting 165lbs
>getting higher than novice in 5 months
you'd have to be an athlete already or a genetic freak to get higher
I hated bench and stopped doing it, now it's back to bite me in the ass
>fell for the starting strength meme
Question for everyone: what's your end goal? Mine honestly is Teal man. After that, unless I change my mind, is pure maintenance and hypertrophy.
>symmetricstrength.com
Underrated
Not But I put in the values and he weighs around 275lb
He's a big guy
My goals at the moment are 1/2/3/4 and having the biggest lifts in my gym. I can probably do the first in the summer and the second within the year. After that, reaching my maximum potential I guess.
