Can anybody tell me what this severe pinching pain in my knee occuring in the red circled area is?...

can anybody tell me what this severe pinching pain in my knee occuring in the red circled area is?? every time i start running it starts hurting like a motherfucker after 20 minutes and i have to stop exercising. i swear i could run forever if it wasnt for this fucking pain. i got it by really pushing myself during one run and as a result my leg locked up for a week and thats when the pain become a permanent feature of my knee. would leg braces help overcome this problem? i stopped running for 2 months and the motherfucker came right back after i started running.

I have the same problem after I broke my kneecap idk what it could be

wtf user. i didnt break my kneecap, i jsut ran for like 30km, way past the point my knees were in agony and i had to give up after the pain became unbearable. now its permanent. i need to fix this shit otherwise i cant live my life.

does it hurt when going down the stairs but not when going up?

Bumping for similar pain. Not sure what the fuck it is but my left knee folds when i try to put pressure on it.

Bone on bone, maybe?

Do a couple walking lunges, does that area hurt when the affected leg is behind you? If so, it's probably your IT band.

You treat it by cross training, foam rolling, and stretching. You need to strengthen your muscles.

The first stretch in this article is good for that area: verywellfit.com/iliotibial-band-stretches-2696360

YES user. tell me whats my condition? i fuggin hate this feel.

I had a similar problem. I think it was a weak tendon broblem. After strengthing my quads on an isolation machine the pain went away.

a have similar symptoms and a physio told me I have Excessive lateral pressure syndrome but it doesn't adress the core issue which probably is damaged ligaments/tendons or something
I'm seeing an orthopedist soon

>hurts like a mother fucker
Are you unable to walk afterwards? Because if not, then its not hurting that bad, you're just a bitch

Running isnall about pain tolerance. I'd bet money that youre just a weak little bitch who cant handle the discomforts of running

hit yourself in the head with a sharp object

you dumb motherfucker. literally kys.

I have a knee problem but instead of the circled area on the outside, reversed and on the inside. It hurts when I go down stairs but not going up.

I had a similar injury, and it turned out to be a cartilage tear. However the area you specified was not that exact area. I recommend getting an MRI done and going to a competent orthopedic doctor. I got microfracture surgery done on my knee, and my knees been stronger 4 years since surgery. I could be wrong and it could be just something minor though

Knee plica?

It's IT Band Friction Syndrome. Do hip strengthening exercises, look up stretches, and stop exercising for a period of a month or two. If that doesn't work go to an orthopedist and try the steroid injections.

had the same thing after running some tough mudder event without training to run
it hurt like someone was pushing a knife into my knee
had to walk down stairs like a grandpa, one at a time, with hands on the railing
it was IT band syndrome for me
resting and training properly made it go away, one main culprit was weak medial glutes
try to see a doc though becaue those were the problems I got diagnosed with and you could have something completely different

ACL/MCL

It’s your fucking meniscus holy shit.

T. Several meniscus injuries.

I used to have that problem when i was younger due to bad posture.
Fixed it by stretching and warming up before running and lifting

I got a plica surgically removed from my knee about 6 months ago. Shit never healed.

Inflamed Bursa, Patellar Tendonitits, Maybe even Lateral tebdon or meniscus injury. In order of likelihood. Just go to a doctor and RICE it.

Yes. You're Dr.

Should I keep running while doing all these excercises or stop and excercise and then start up again?

I'm the opposite of OP. My knees hurt here

But not when actually running, it's hurts on the inside of the knees after whenever I'm sitting down randomly.

And it hurts on the middle of the knee randomly when walking and makes me want to not walk because it's sharp. This happens on days when I don't run but I think it's because I rand the day before. What do I do? What is it?

Forgot my knees
