This. Shifting PvP from open world to instanced was a huge mistake. While some of the classic battlegrounds are still bangers there's nothing like showdowns at the crossroads or random encounters on the road.

OSRS is cool but sucks unless you're doing something else with OSRS on the side. Classic/Vanilla is super rose-tinted and fucking sucks unless you're a fucking NEET and dedicate your life to it (which is a path to never making it). BfA doesn't require much of a time investment but the expansion sucks so it's not worth it lmao. Skyrim isn't even close to being like WoW.
If you wanna make it don't play any new games, try to quit whatever you currently do play.

Never understood the appeal of WoW or Runescape. Always seemed basic at best that might've been fun with friends.

Pic related on the other hand sucked so much of my free time away in my late teens. It sucks that Valve turned it into shit but on the other hand it finally snapped me out of my vidya phase onto other things that interest me. Also doesn't help that literally every major figure head is a baby-faced, autistic skelly/fatty.
