>your age 30, Male >your enneagram Type 5 >your mbti type INFJ >do you like who you are? Ultimately yes. >is there anything you'd like to change? I think that I have come to terms with my own ignorance at this point and have accepted the limitations of my own mind. I had struggled significantly with that when I was younger, though. I guess I would also like to take more risks instead of trying to plan, calculate, and anticipate every single possible variable in existence before proceeding with my goals and dreams. You can never be prepared enough, and you just have to take leaps at times. I wish I could do this more often instead of being slothful due to not feeling like I'm ready yet.
I think it's interesting OP that you say type 3 could be the rarest on the board. I feel like a lot of robots' fixation on social success is very type 3. When I read a lot of posts on here, where people say they feel inadequate, it does appear to relate to their social standing, or more appropriately their perception thereof. A lot of robots feel like they aren't good enough to compete in the framework of society. I'm tempted to say that type 3 may be the most common on this board. If they weren't type 3 then they wouldn't define their success in social terms, would they?
>type 1 that really do sound like >serious >judgemental >perfectionistic >critic

30 5w4 intp i love being me, just wish i weren't stuck on this shit earth i would change how lazy i am
Thomas Butler
I got a three apparently. I tried to take my time with this website's test, I always worry if I really focused on my own feelings and picked what I feel to be true about myself. It's hard.
>age 20 >enneagram My test results usually say 5w6 but I'm definitely closer to 1w9, especially after I researched this stuff myself. >mbti INTJ, of course >do I like who I am It's less about "who I am" and more about "who I will become" but to answer your question only a little. I consider the image of myself in my head more likeable- the version of myself I will become- he's much more loveable. >is there anything I want to change I'm actively changing my habits- so I guess I wish I could do that in an instant and be done? The only part of me that I need changed because I can't do it on my own is the ability to talk to women effectively
Julian Campbell
I agree with most of what you said about type 3s. They (we) all seem pretty hung up about being failures, so it makes sense so many crestfallen 3s would be here. I'd say 5 is second most common
Grayson Murphy
>your age 24 >your enneagram I took this test and it gave me 8w7, but idk about that. >your mbti type ENTP >do you like who you are? Of course not. I mean, there are parts of me I love but there are a lot of parts of me I hate. >is there anything you want to change? Nope. I love the parts I hate.

>your age 21 >your enneagram The reformer when I am my best, but the individualist when I fall onto my bad habits >your mbti type (optional) intj >do you like who you are? I am getting there. Life has been hard for me in the last few months, but I am getting to the point where I like and understand myself >is there anything you want to change? I do not want to be content. I want constant change. I want to keep going and to never look back. Right now I am stuck in the past and I want to change that.
Thanks for this thread OP it is new and interesting to me because I do not subscribe to mbti.
Xavier Clark
Probably more of a 6w8 actually

>your age 27 >your enneagram 1w9 >your mbti type (optional) INFJ >do you like who you are? In some ways but largely no. >is there anything you want to change? I want to be a better person. I think I am pretty shitty. I'd like to find a better purpose. I feel like I am living a life of wasted potential and always might. There is something I think I could do and be passionate about and find meaning in but I don't know how I would even begin to transition into it with my current occupation being what it is.
Nathan Hernandez
what up my fellow type 5s what level are you at?
>healthy levels >1: visonaries >2: extraordinary perceptiveness >3: Mastery of interests >avg levels >4: preparing >5: detachment from world >6: cynical unhealthy levels >7: isolation >8: deliriousness >9: self-destruction
currently level 5 here

I don't think enneagram wings work like that. If it does, link me
Blake Brooks
Yeah, I think each type has their own idea and measurement of what success/failure is, and those different measurements can look very different from each other and even contrast. Each type has their own ways of feeling like failures, I believe. For instance, as a type 5 I've always felt I was a failure because I never achieved competence, at least in my own eyes. And I always felt like I was wrong and ignorant about everything, so much so that I would prefer to not speak at all just in the off chance that I was incorrect about what it was I was saying.
I'm curious user, what occupation are you currently in and what is it that you think you could do that you find meaning in. I only ask because I've found it hard myself, as a male INFJ especially, to find any occupation which I could find real meaning in. I even made the mistake of working in a prison as a correction officer for several years.
Hello fellow type 5. I feel like I've perpetually been at level 4, but there are clear instances where I have been at lower levels, especially 7 for a large part of my life.
Andrew Sanchez
I dont think this is definitive or at least not static. I can see traits of many different of these types in myself and it all depends on my life and mindset at the moment.
Austin Reyes
Not OP, but to be fair, the enneagram theory gets far more complex than this. There's also the idea of people having a tri-type, wherein a person is an amalgamation of three types. It's just a conceptual framework and likely only scratches the surface of true reality, but it could be a good starting point.
>18 >type 8 >ISTP >Yup, very much >I wish I were even better at manipulating people to do what I want them to do. That would make my life infinitely better.
Elijah Lewis
21 4w5 or 5w4 not sure INTP Not really, but I like who i could be I wish I was cooler, more organized and more socially outgoing
Matthew Scott
>21 >5w9 >INTP >never thought about it >no Hm.
Ian Williams
Your wing is always one step away from your main type, for example, 5w4 or 5w6. However, tritype theory asserts that everyone has a head, heart and gut type, so your tritype may include 9 and 5.
Sorry for the late response. I am in a specific section of healthcare and I realized a while ago that I'm more passionate about public health and policy change/development than actually treating people. I can treat people but it's never going fix a lot of issues I see that bother me. I actually know people who have left my field and went into it in a way but I have doubts about doing it myself. I don't think I have the intelligence or charisma. Maybe if I went back to school and got an MPH I could go into it. I am also financially comfortable right now so my ambition to change is low. But I worry at times that I'm going to look back on my life and see a giant hole my career created where all my time got sucked into, without any meaning or passion or love for it. I think I should get involved with my professional organization to start but I am nervous about having to be social for it. What do you do now user?

>your age 24 >your enneagram 5w4 >your mbti type (optional) INTJ >do you like who you are? Sure >is there anything you want to change? Become ISTJ and live a happy life of mediocrity

Seconding this, I want to know how I find my enneagram >20 >Istj >? >Sort of. I'm happy with my competencies but I don't like my last of social skills >I want to change my looks (a little) and give me more social skills.
I was answering who asked what test had used. It's the one you replied to.
Evan Cox
>tfw ENTP >am told that ENTPs typically dislike tradition and traditional thinking >I'm incredibly in favour of those things and see them as a strong foundation to civiliation Why is this? I have a theory why but you guys might have a better reason
It's almost as if it's impossible to put a human into one of 16 clear cut definitions. Dont get me wrong, MBTI can give some insight into your behavioral patterns, but in the end, every human has its own quirks that no personality test will ever cover.

>>your age 19 >>your enneagram I identified with 9, but I got 1, 4 and 5 from a test some user posted. >>your mbti type (optional) Ixxx. >>do you like who you are? welp, I guess it's pretty clear. that's funny cause usually in my experience the "most likely" in this test is the accurate one in any case >Does anybody know what this means? youtube does.
Anthony Miller
Sorry for really late response as well. I don't think I could ever treat or help people directly in a healthcare setting. I think it would be stressful. Kudos to you. I like to help people but in more of an indirect way, or more mentally than physically.
I'm currently operating vehicles and heavy equipment at an airport. I really enjoy it, best job I've ever had in fact. But I'm certain that if I'd look back on it at the end of my life then I would just feel like I wasted any potential I had. It isn't meaningful or purposeful at all. It was just something I fell into after I became disillusioned with corrections and that field in general. I look back on my career and there's like an 8 year black hole and I wish I could have had those years put to better use. I too don't want to be old and look back on my life feeling like I never contributed or made the world a better place. I'm currently studying to become licensed by the EPA as a water operator. Also considering going back to school. Psychology interests me.
Good luck to you if you decide to make your career transition. It's never easy to leave a comfort zone and make a change like that. But it sounds like you already know what decision the future you will have wanted the present you to make. All the best user.

Looks like INTJ.

My tests usually varies between ISTP and INTP, is there any way to be sure which one you are?
Joseph Thompson
>age 20 >enneaegram 5w6 >mbti intp >like who you are nah >anything to change ye lmao, lots
Camden Gutierrez
Which one is Chad? 3? 7? 8? Maybe 9, since all types like them?
Yeah prolly 7,8, or a 3. I think 9s would be too passive, and that's not what chad is about.

>your age 18 >your enneagram 8w7 >you mbti type ENTP >do you like who you are? I love it, I however do feel like I'm alone in this world sometimes. eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/type4 >People of this personality type tend to build their identities around their perception of themselves as being somehow different or unique; they are thus self-consciously individualistic. Fours tend to see their difference from others as being both a gift and a curse - a gift, because it sets them apart from those they perceive as being somehow "common," and a curse, as it so often seems to separate them from the simpler forms of happiness that others so readily seem to enjoy. Thus, Fours can manage to feel superior to others while also secretly harboring some degree of longing and envy. >Fours are emotionally complex and highly sensitive. They long to be understood and appreciated for their authentic selves, but easily feel misunderstood and unappreciated. They have a tendency to withdraw in the face of a world that seems harsh or crude, and are often somewhat moody or temperamental. They are emotionally centered and spend much of their lives immersed in their internal mental landscapes, where they feel free to cultivate and analyse their feelings >Fours are somewhat melancholic by disposition, and under stress tend to lapse into depression. They also tend to be self-absorbed, even under the best of circumstances, but when unbalanced, easily give way to a self-indulgence which they perceive as being fully justified as a way to compensate for the general lack of pleasure they experience in their lives. Rather than look for practical solutions to their difficulties, Fours are prone to fantasizing about a savior who will rescue them from their unhappiness. Fuck. This is me.

>your age 20 >your enneagram Type 6 >your mbti type (optional) Don't even know anymore, i fluctuate between INTJ, INTP and ISTP >do you like who you are? Don't know, sometimes i get pissed at myself because of my laziness >is there anything you want to change? I wish a someone else
That doesn't sound too bad desu. Sounds just like a girl I know. What's your MBTI type?
Luis Baker
>MBTI type? INTP. Maybe for a girl it's not too bad, but for me it's hell. I feel at the same time superior and inferior to ordinary people. I can never fit in, I have narcissistic traits yet I'm also filled with self loathing, the worst of both worlds.
Connor Garcia
It sounds so contradictory. Is it? For example, are the ways that you feel superior to others the same ways in which you feel inferior, or is it by different criteria?
