The FBI were looking into my dad for who he was doing some business with and I didn't realize this but this girl basically came right onto me and seemed so lovely and wonderful. I was living with my dad and she wanted to move in with us, which turned out exactly just what she wanted to be able to search through his personal stuff and get on his computer.

Not long after and she breaks up with me, left me pretty bad. Well my dad meets with some FBI folks to clear things up since it turned out there weren't any problems with his business, and there I end up seeing the girl she's one of them and I'm shocked while shes just like "No hard feelings?".

Its not legal not really. Honeypot gathered evidence generally gets thrown out in court but it does help the case move forward and get a conviction.

He was doing software, security I think for a foreign company with a presence in the US, and the guy he was dealing with they were keeping an eye on. So my dad getting involved with him they wanted to investigate as well.

From what I understand they were doing usual investigating of him, but this girl got involved with me and it got them direct and easy access exactly how and what they wanted. I recall something about it apparently speeding up the process by what would have been like half a year or something.
